CHAPTER 01: Join us
"A DEMON!"
My body automatically sat on the bed.
I was panting, breathing very hard. I was in an unknown room but I didn't pay attention to it.
Is that all a dream? A nightmare?
The last thing I remember, I was in the market but then, a demon appeared in front of me but before it could eat my soul.. someone! There's someone who saved me!
"I'm sad that you're awake now.."
In an instant, I darted my eyes at the window. There, a girl was sitting at the edge and starring at me intensely. She was about to fall but she jumped back and landed safely on the floor.
What the..
"W-Who are you?" I searched for a slipper but it's nowhere to be found so I stood up with my bare feet. The floor is too cold but I can take it.
She licked her lower lip and showed me her left hand.. where her hand.. it's holding a katana.
A black Kanata!
"I saved you, dummy."
My eyes widened as the memories of what happened flashed back on my head. The girl who stopped the demon from eating my soul was.. her?!
Seriously?!
It's a shame--
"It's a shame to even call you a man."
My jaw dropped.
'What the heck?!' I thought.
"You cried like a baby. Do you really have balls?"
"W-What?!"
From a disappointed face, it turns to an evil smirk. "But I like you.."
E-Ehhhhhhhhhhhh?! W-What?!
"I like you because you're an idiot. Let's kill each other--"
"Toya, enough." The door opened and a gorgeous girl entered the room. Unlike this girl named Toya, the new girl looks like an angel who was sent to make my life easier.
So is it really true that after the pain, there will be always a rainbow.
In my case, she's the rainbow--
"Don't fall for her, she's a b*tch."
'Said by the worst girl here,' I thought.
I smiled, didn't mind Toya and faced the new girl, "A-Ah, where am I?"
She glanced at me and smiled back. The moment I saw her smile, I feel like I'm dancing at the clouds.
"Simp. You'd regret it."
This Toya is really a pain in the ass. She keeps on ruining my moment!
"You're in the hospital," she replied.
I could feel my face heating. I-I'm blushing?!
"Simp for a b*tch."

"Thanks to Toya, you escaped."
'Ah yes, that's the only thing she did that I was thankful for,' I thought.
"Shi Matsui."
"Y-Yes?"
She took something out from her bag. It's a paper and there's something written on it. She showed it to me but I can't understand a thing.
"U-Uh, would you mind if you read it for me?"
She nodded and smiled again, "No prob."
"Thanks."
'She's indeed an angel.'
"We, the Anti-Demon Association people, invites you Mr. Shi Matsui to join us on hunting down Demons that made this world a living hell. For someone who experienced a near death experience, we know the fear and hatred you feel towards them so let's help each other and wipe out the Demons." She then offered her hand at me, "So.. will you join us?"
