We had already descended from the peak and now we immediately searched for Zheng fu fei's whereabouts. We split up and made sure that the location of the fall was not too far away. "I hope he's still alive," I said in a low voice and looked around but my eyes couldn't find where he was. Three hours we had been walking around the location but didn't find him either. We stopped the search because the rain was getting heavier and the fog was getting thicker in the mountain area. I nodded and scanned the area, but there was nothing to see. "It should have fallen not far from around here, but I didn't find any traces or items that fell from above." I shook my head. "Did you find it?" asked Daffa, out of breath. "How did you find it?" I turned my eyes towards the fox who had started sneezing because our clothes were soaked and also the wind was getting strong. "We need to take shelter first, so that our bodies stay warm. It also seems like it's raining heavily this time," I looked up and felt how painful the rainwater was hitting my face.
"But what about Zheng Fu Fei?" I asked, and with resignation, the fox said, "It's not that I don't want to help Zheng Fu Fei, but our lives are also in danger if it's cold." We lethargically nodded our heads because, by this time, our bodies were already pale and wrinkled because of the rain as it would be until tomorrow morning.
"Come on, there's a small village in this area, we'll go there," the fox invited us to visit a small village and also to have a lodging place.
You arrived at the inn and we hurried to rest and freshen up because it was getting late.
However, I kept closing my eyes several times but couldn't manage to fall asleep because of what is probably a serious injury.
"AKH... damn it... he keeps being in my shadow and I can't close my eyes." Irritably, I got up from the bed and left the room, heading towards Daffa. As I was about to knock on the door, he suddenly opened it widely and he seemed just as anxious as I was. "Are you thinking about Zhan fu fei?" I paused for a moment and nodded my head.
"I also can't sleep thinking about how he is," he said with a sigh. After that, I also jutted out my chin and he understood what was meant. "We'd better find him before something serious happens to him!" After that, we both immediately left the inn and headed towards the cliff, which was about forty-five minutes away from the inn.
The darkness was filled only by the dim light of torches (a device for lighting, in which bamboo is hollowed out and coconut oil and cotton are added). When the fire meets the cotton and oil, the fire will not die.
To be honest, we didn't need it because as the night wore on our sense of sight sharpened but just in case we ran into guards or Elfs and made them suspicious.
We were already at the spot where she fell but we didn't find anything, not even blood. "Where exactly is she?" I said in a small voice and looked up and apparently there were clothes stuck in this area. "Did we misplace her so we couldn't find her?" I turned to her and clicked in annoyance. "She did fall around here because her clothes were stuck on a tree and would someone like to help her?"I pointed Daffa towards the tree on the side of the cliff and he immediately looked up and noticed that there was a brown piece of clothing stuck behind the tree. "Shiffft!!!" he swore in a harsh voice.
I only thought of two possibilities that happened to him. He was captured by the Elves or he was found by the neighbours. But if he was found by the neighbours, it would be crowded. When we arrived, they were a little surprised, but immediately the Fox gave an explanation so that they accepted our arrival.
"Where has he gone?" asked Daffa.
"Even if he left us both, I don't think it's possible because he was also injured quite badly, but there's a possibility that he was helped," I said. Turning around, I suddenly jumped in surprise when I saw this ruffled robe of his just staring at me with annoyance.
"Didn't I tell you that the Elfs are currently in lockdown, and it will make things worse if they find you, especially in the middle of the night like this!" She caught up with me, and Daffa was equally surprised when the fox was suddenly in front of both of us.
"We just want to find where Zheng Fu Fei is, don't you feel suspicious of him?" asked Daffa.
The fox did not answer and left the two of us alone. I gave him a quick glance and poked his head, replying "Narrow-minded!" "Narrow-minded!" after which I immediately caught up with the fox and left Daffa.
"Awww....Bloody Xavier!" he cursed in a loud voice and after that, he was honestly confused about his whereabouts. My mind wondered, I'm sure he wouldn't be far from here considering the weather was so bad this afternoon. He must have been helped by someone but unfortunately, I can't smell his scent even if he fell here.
The sun came out and the fox immediately thanked me and said he would help me find Zheng fu fei.
He also said goodbye as he wanted to take the two of us, but he said that he couldn't because he had more important matters to attend to, so we thanked him for getting us to the palace faster. "To be honest, I wanted to take you, but because I had urgent matters, I didn't have enough time to take you," he said, showing a sad face to us and apologising, and we said yes because it was out of our control.
"Thank you also for taking us to the palace at a closer distance."
"And we also understand that you have more important matters." We both bowed our heads again, apologising once more.
"You only need two days to get to the kingdom and you just go to the North, then you will get to the kingdom, but the kingdom has a fairly high gate so if you have more important business, you better infiltrate because there will be some people who will prevent you from entering although I don't know who.. " I frowned and then nodded my head.
"Thank you for saving me, and if I meet you again, pretend we never knew each other!" she pleaded, and I smiled faintly. "Well if that's where it's going I can't refuse." After he said that, he immediately turned around and started to enter the forest, while we were currently at the exit of the village gate. We immediately continued in the north direction that the fox had indicated.
