No new date

"No, we cannot go there " Haley blurted out not knowing when those words fell out of her mouth. Her reaction raised suspicious looks from her father but she quickly covered it...

"My room is in a mess, I believe we can discuss this in the garden " she said leading tbe way to the garden with a fake smile in her face.. Deep down she was glad Anthony didn't insist on going to her room this time around as he was always fond of doing.

Haley had barely sat down in the little garden when Anthony fired her with the first question.

"So what new date will be okay with you" he asked with a mischievous smile on his face.

"Really? Is that the first question that can come out from you? Did you realize I was abducted? You didn't even ask about my experience all you care about is the new wedding date. " Haley scoffed in annoyance

Everyday she gets to see signs that really tell her marrying Anthony would be a mistake.

"I am sorry Haley. I.. almost forgot about that incident " He stammared

"You did what? She asked rising up on her feet immediately.

"Did you just say you forgot I was abducted? What is this nonsense I get to listen to?

Haley wanted to leave immediately but she was held back by Anthony who held her by the hand as he struggled to keep her in one place.

"Let me go, we can have this conversation later as it is I don't want to listen to you" Haley demanded as she restrained herself from using force on him.

"I am sorry. I didn't mean it that way. It was just that I was..... Anthony stopped in his speech.

"You were just what? She asked as she wanted him to complete the sentence.

"I am sorry. Let's leave it at that " Anthony replied refusing to complete the sentence.

Haley already knew he was about to say something that will make her more angry.

"Please just give me an answer" he pleaded

"I won't be thinking of marriage for now till I have fully recovered from this last experience. I don't know when I will recover you just have to wait till then" She replied him as she made to walk away again.

"Then you need to rest and get a doctor. I will provide you with one. " Anthony quickly interjected as he looked for a means to get in her good books quickly.

"Don't worry about that I will take care of myself " she replied waving his offer off.

"Then you need to rest. I will advise you drop any case you are working on right now" Anthony suggested as he looked a little concern this time.

"Don't worry. As I said before I can take care of myself. I need my job as a means to take my mind off whatever that has happened " she replied him taking his hand off her arm before walking away without looking back. Anthony didn't border to restrain her again as he knew there was no use. The stubborn side if her was something he was already used to. He hope to tame her after they are married.

she walked straight to her room with a funny feeling in her stomach. She was like a little girl who was going to meet her lover in a an hidden corner of the street. She didn't even notice her mother who was watching her from a distance as she walked to her room.

She got to the door and spent some seconds wondering what would happen when she enters.

"Do you need persmisson to get into your own room? " her mothers voice suddenly interrupted her thinking after she watched her stand at the door lost in thought.
