Chapter 56

Her nap was disturbed when Shannon knocked on her door a little loud.

"Sister, let's go outside! One of my friends invited me to a party." She said,

"Can't you see I'm grounded?" Amanda said, lazily.

"Come on! Just one time. Mom wouldn't know." Shannon pleaded.

Amanda thought about it.

She never trusted Shannon, so she must be up to something.

Amanda agreed to Shannon's offer and sneaked out of the house.

They went to a bar downtown.

Seeing the building, Amanda immediately remembered seeing that somewhere.

Out of curiosity, Amanda rushed inside.

"Sister, be careful. I know you're excited." Shannon catched up,

"Yeah, sorry." Amanda nodded,

"Well, let's dance and enjoy! Forget about your problems today and feel free to rock your body!" Shannon squealed and pushed Amanda to the stage.

Although Amanda was not a good dancer, she did her best to fit in the crowd to avoid suspicion.

On the corner of her eye, she could see a few men on a bench eyeing her with phones.

Shannon must've hired them to take pictures of her.

Out of instinct, she grabbed one of the drunk ladies to the man's direction and danced with her.

As she had expected, the man moved his position to get a better angle.

This time, he was near the dj.

Amanda danced her over to parallel with Shannon who was dancing her heart out without even bothering to check if her employee got a snap.

After a few hours, Amanda went over to the bartender and ordered an angel shot.

Then she grabbed Shannon out.

"It's getting late, we better go home now." Amanda said with a stern look, it made Shannon's spine shiver, wondering whether she saw through her motive.

Amanda kept thinking on how to escape Sabrina so she wouldn't cause much trouble.

There's not much to think of so she decided on a silly idea.

"Shannon, you go first. Don't let anyone catch you." Amanda hauled her forward to the living room.

"What about you?" Shannon asked.

"I'll be covering you from behind. Trust me." Amanda replied.

Shannon crept inside, daring not to make a noise. Halfway through to through the hallway, Amanda paused and waited as Shannon was five feet away.

She quickly removed her shoe and ran to the kitchen without making a noise.

Holding her breath, Amanda crept to the mini elevator used to transfer things.

She pressed the button to fourth floor.

She flopped to her bed and giggled in delight.

For

a long time she'd never felt this kind of joy.

"Very funny huh."
