4 Years Pass

Shun also introduced himself to his foster son and said, "My name is Shun." Wilson cheered up as soon as he heard the name of his father and raised his paws to let Shun lift him up in the air.

Shun thought that it was a cute gesture by his cat and did raise him a little, he suddenly saw two white coloured wings appear on the cat's back. The symbol of the king extended over Wilson's forehead and glowed a little before it reverted to how it was before.

Nobody other than Shun and Carla saw it clearly. Shun was curious about these mysterious symbols he witnessed while Carla's eyes showed absolute fear. Like she was staring at a monster...

With a smile over his face, Shun picked up Wilson and placed him over his shoulder, "So… You wanna eat something?"

At this question, both happy and Wilson shouted out loudly, "FISH!"

Carla sweatdropped at their excited shout. They seemed to really want fish. Shun looked at the bar in the guildhall and loudly ordered, "2 Large plate fishes for us."

"Coming right up."

His order seemed to have been given the top priority as all the workers behind the bar started to pull out two large fishes to serve Shun.

Shun looked at Carla, Wendy's exceed and asked her gently, "Do you want to eat it as well?"

Carla shook her head in denial. She didn't wish to interact with him. Wendy was a little unhappy at Carla's response, but she didn't say anything.

She innocently asked Carla, "What do you want to eat, Carla?"

Carla was now facing innocent wendy. She had no idea how to deal with her innocent-looking master.

"What I want to eat? Nothing at all, I want some alone time for now!" She stared at Wilson for a long time before some wings sprouted on her back and she flew out of the Guild Hall.

"Wait for me, Carla..." Wendy said while following her, "You can't go outside. You could get hurt." She didn't wish for Carla to get hurt right after hatching from the egg.

The crowd around them all had finally begun to disperse. The people weren't as excited as before. All of them had been somewhat expectant that it would be a dragon would hatch because of Natsu's shouting.

To see a bunch of cats hatching from the eggs somewhat disappointed them. They were happy and surprised to see these cats talking right from the start, but it didn't last long before they started to concentrate on their jobs.

Shun sat on the table as he waited for the fish to come. He looked at Natsu who seemed really excited as he sat with Lisanna.

A gentle smile was on his face as he placed all his thoughts in the back of his mind.

All three of them bonded with their respective exceeds for the rest of the day.

After careful observation, Shun noticed that happy seemed like a child. It appeared that he really loved fish and slacking off.

Wilson was a little mature in comparison. He didn't act like a child other than when he wants to eat fish. He also didn't like talking much with anyone other than Shun.

As for Carla… She was sitting near the lakeside. Wendy approached her and started to talk with her. Wendy explained her circumstances to Carla. Like how she lived with a kind dragon named Grandeeney.

The day Grandeeney left her and how she met up with Shun-Nii-chan. The day she arrived at the guild.

She said it all. Carla patiently listened to her and gave her a small smile before speaking, "Can you tell me more about yourself and your big brother?"

With a broad innocent smile, Wendy nodded her head and started talking in detail about some of the events in her life.

With that, their bond started getting deeper and deeper.

Year X782, Kingdom of Fiore

For the next 4 years, nothing of significance happened in the Fairy Tail Guild other than a few things.

Erza, Mira, and Laxus became the new S-Rank Mage in the Fairy Tail Guild. Shun didn't seem to have any interest in becoming an S-Rank Mage.

It was because of this reason, other than some members of Fairy Tail, no one knew about his strength. When there was no need, he wouldn't keep on displaying it. He liked his current lifestyle.

When Mira asked him why he didn't wish to be an S-Rank Mage, he looked at her with a deadpan expression and replied, "I have enough jewels to live the rest of my life with comfort. I am strong enough to protect myself. Why would I need some S-Rank when I don't plan on taking any S-Rank missions?"

Nobody refuted him on that. And no one in the guild had any doubt about his power. Mira wasn't there to see it, but she had heard about how badly Shun crushed Laxus to a bloody pulp.

Laxus still remembered that day and makes sure to never mess with Shun.

Another important thing which happened was, Mirajane and Shun were mentioned in Sorcerer's magazine once, and Shun's picture was posted in it.

In the next week's results, Shun was voted as the hottest and most attractive male mage in all of Fiore.

Meanwhile, the Sorcerer's Magazine contact both Shun and Mirajane to do a modelling job for them.

Shun accepted it rather quickly. For him, it was like a heaven-sent opportunity. He could earn jewels just by letting them post some pictures of himself and Mirajane in the magazine.

There wasn't a need to take on jobs at all. And with that, he stopped taking on any posts and just concentrated on being a model.

With his lean, athletic body and attractive face, near all women in Fiore seemed to have fallen in love with him. All the ladies who read the magazine couldn't help but take some trips to Magnolia to have a chance to meet him.

It was slightly awkward for Shun since Mirajane got angry at some of the ladies who came to visit him. She even took some bold steps as if to show those ladies that they were too late. She was already together with him.

Mirajane's popularity wasn't anything to scoff at either. She had large blue eyes and a curvy, voluptuous body, with large breasts which seemed to charm all men regardless if they were married or not.

She had received a lot of marriage proposals from the men even within the Fairy Tail guild. The result of that proposal wasn't pretty. At least for the man proposing her.

Shun didn't seem to be bothered by it. He knew it was the side-effect of being in the Sorcerer's magazine. Nothing much could be done about it. He had received many proposals, though those letters were torn to shreds after Mira found them.

She even hissed at those fangirls with a low growl, "Those sluts!"

Why did she call them sluts? A lot of letters contained a pic of the ladies in nothing but their underwear or even naked.

What made her angrier was that Wilson seemed to have taken up the habit of delivering each letter to Shun and even read it aloud to him. When asked why he did so. His response was that Mira's reaction to it was amusing.

Well, only Wilson and Shun seemed to think it was amusing. For Natsu, Gray, Lisanna, and Elfman, they felt as if it was the end of the world with the way Mirajane erupted.

Shun had to calm her down before she would erupt in rage. However, even then, Shun never stopped Wilson from doing this.

Internally, he was also amused by Mira's reaction. He just found her jealousy rather adorable.

If it was asked who had grown the most in these years, then it was Wendy! Her attack spells were still lacking, but her support spells and healing spells had gotten a lot stronger than before.

If Laxus was in front of her in that same state as left behind by Shun, she was confident in healing him back to his full health.

Carla had finally started bonding with the rest of the guild members as well. Other than her sharp responses at Happy and her apparent fear of Wilson, everything else seemed to be going fine.
