Chapter 9, Grand Opening

I was preparing the dishes we would serve while the two were cleaning and preparing the tables for our trand opening. It's just goibg be us and the guests we invited. It'll just be a grand opening after all. Work starts tomorrow.

"Yo! The place looks great." Jason said he came into the shop.

"Hello. It's been a while." Aishea-san said as she came in behind him.

"Maybe we're early?" Dahlia-san asked as she opened the door. Beside her was Ver-san and Rosa-san.

"You haven't changed you old hag!!" Priscilla-san said as she came in with Fray-san. They seem to be old friends.

"Yo. Been a while kiddo." Eugen-san said as he came in.

"Welcome." I smiled. "Right on time."

"The things here seem so unfamiliar to me." Veronica said as she stared at the tables and chairs as well as the decorations.

"They're from my homeland after all." I answered her as I took off my apron.

"The tree outside is lovely." Dahlia-san added.

"It's a cherry blossom tree, it's very common in my homeland." I answered.

"Master, we've finished cleaning." Taiyo said as he came down. He saw the people gathered and immediately bowed his head. "Master, shall I start serving the drinks and appetizers?"

"We're still waiting for one more guest." I said and we heard the sound of horses outside. He actually came.

"Greetings." Elias-san came inside, gaurds were outside and there are two beside him.

"They're my guards, Nana and Fran." He said as he introduced the two.

The man, Fran-san was the same age as me in tears of appearance, he has black hair with a few white strands and black eyes with white skin.

The woman, Nana-san had violet hair and blue eyes with white skin.

Just then, I noticed another girl beside Elias-san. She had purple hair and white skin with violet eyes. She was dressed in noble attire so my guess is that she is his daughter.

"Ahem... I thank everyone who came to the grand opening of the Moonlight Cafe. Please enjoy yoruselves." I said before smiling as Taiyo and Tsuki came in carrying trays of appetizers and drinks.

"Hmmm... these two are unfamilair faces." Fray-san said as she looked them up and down.

"I doubt any of you have met them till today." I said as I went into the kitchen to prepare the next course.

"What do you mean?" Misa asked.

"Those two aren't human or demihuman, they don't belong to any races. Basically, they're humunculi." I told her as I served the next course.

"Where did you ever get hold of such rare beings?" Elias-san asked with an intrigued expression.

"I made them." I answered. "Tsuki, Taiyo, after this go and join and everyone and get to know them more."

"We understand." They said.

"Wait, let me get this straight, you made those two?!" Veronica exclaimed.

"Yeah. With Alchemy, Biology, Magical Energy, Creation Magic and a few other spells." I answered her. "They have a piece of my personality as well."

"My word, where did you find a spell that could mix so many magic techniques at once?" Dahlia-san asked.

"A special library back home has tons of books on making artificial life." I answered as I continued to cook. "Magic like this was easier to complete because of the amount of magical energy in the air."

"What do you mean?" Aishea asked.

"Unlike back home, there's an abundance of magical energy here, mostly likely due to the fact so little people can use magic." I answered. "Back home, almost everyone can use a bit of magic."

"You're something else." Jason sighed.

"I suppose. It might have something to do with my lineage." I said as I set down a pie on the table.

"Lineage?" Rosa-san asked.

"Haruka, you're nobility aren't you?" Elias-san asked and I smiled.

"What gave it away?" I asked.

"You weren't trembling when we first met. You were use to talking to nobles but also, you aren't use to talking to someone as if they have a higher social status." He said. "Is your rank perhaps higher than mine?"

"You could say that." I answered. "Let's just say my brother and I are the last of our pure-blooded family members."

"Is your family that big?" Jason asked.

"The main family has three remaining members who carry pure blood lineage, two of them are me and my brother." I answered. "The other is our uncle who overseas the rest of our territory."

"Master, we have finished with what you have ordered." Taiyo said.

"Thanks. Get some rest." I said.

"Haruka, I've been meaning to ask. But, how did you end up on our continent?" Misa asked.

"A mishap with magic, Demon Lords and spells." I answered.

"Demon Lords?" Jason tilted his head.

"Back home, there aren't any Guardians." I told them. "I've never actually heard of them. It may be a completely different story. Back home, the reason our continent came to be was after the Heroes' Eras, when the Demon Lords were still in this world."

"I've never heard of it." Elias-san said.

"What about the 88 Familiars?" I asked him and he shook his head.

"Umm! I've heard of it!!" The young lady said.

"Is that true Lin?" He asked her and she nodded.

"In the Northern, Western and the ruins of the Southern Continent, there are said to be remnants of the Ancient War. They're the Familairs of the First Hero." She said. "They number 88 in all, 12 Great Familairs, 76 lower Familiars. They're modelled after the constellations and are said to be the last legacy left by the Hero."

"You're a bit mistaken, milady." I told her. "They aren't the last. Because the First Hero has descendants." I told her. "The Southern Continent has become the Heroes' Nation, and there is still one more legacy of the Hero. The Aerial Isles."

"You seem to know a lot about the Hero." Dahlia-san asked a bit entrigued.

"I was born as a citizen of the Heroes' Nation." I answered her. "I know a lot about my homeland and I can ensure you that there are 88 Familiars."

"Really!! What are they like?" The lady asked me.

"They vary in personality and power. Some are caring and gentle, others rough and daring." I answered her. "But they are all kind and wonderful beings."

"You say that as if you've met them before." Priscilla-san said.

"I've met a few." I answered fixing my hair.

"Oh right! Haruka, have you gone to Hermes' Shrine yet?" Rosa-san asked.

"What's that?" I asked.

"It's a shrine where people who start a business visit and pray to hoping their business is blessed." Elsha-san answered. "You should try going there. It right at the town's heart."

"Maybe I'll go later." I answered and suddenly felt a change in the air arround us.

"Is something the matter?" the lady asked.

"No milady, it's nothing." I answered her.

"I have a name!! It's Lina!!" She shouted.

"I'm very sorry." I answered her.

"I'm sorry for yelling!" She bowed her head.

"Please don't worry." I smiled.

After the party, everyone wished me luck with my new business. I hope it flourishes too.

As I was lying down on my bed I thought that today was really fun. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

That's bad! I need to hurry, I don't have to time to waste, I need to go to where Haruki is.

"I think it's fine." I heard his voice and so I opened my eyes. Haruki was infront of me, the two of us were surrounded with clouds.

"Haruki!!" I exclaimed.
