Chapter 22: Infiltration (2)

"A barrier!"

"And my swords aren't penetrating either," Tahara said.

Meanwhile, inside the barrier. Darwin was fighting with one of the elders the elder used his staff to hit Darwin on the stomach and then went back.

"What are you doing here?" Darwin asked as he was panting.

"How come you still have such strength?" he asked.

"Sorry to say but I'm not fighting with you," the elder said as Asai Yoshinaka arrived.

"Asai! Darwin gasped.

Asai pulled out her sword ready to slay Darwin but was blocked by Keita using his magic as a shield.

"Keita too is here?" the old man said.

Suddenly Ono Kunimichi arrived at the scene and stared at Keita.

"Brother!" Kunimichi said as tears came down his eyes.

Kunimichi drew his sword as he struck Keita's shield and it broke.

"Your strength is still as strong as when we were kids," Keita congratulated Kunimichi.

Keita quickly dashed toward Kunimichi and punched Kunimichi's sword. His sword broke and Keita raised his fist ready to punch him.

"This is where you fall," Keita said.

As soon as Keita's fist was about to reach Kunimichi, Kunimichi uttered some words and then two dual swords appeared as he used them to deflect Keita's punch.

"Shit!"

Keita retreated as he looked at his fist and blood was coming out.

"Since when did you manage to master dual weapons?" Keita yelled as he wiped off the blood from his trousers. Suddenly, Asai and Darwin appeared and they both retreated and stood side by side against each other.

"Any problem going on with your body," Asai asked as Kunimichi shook his head.

Asai turned at looked at Kunimichi's dual sword.

"So you've been able to materialize the dual sword," she asked as Kunimichi nodded his head.

"But it's only for a matter of time," Kunimichi announced.

"Keita you handle your brother, I'll take care of Asai," Darwin announced.

"Understood!" Keita replied as they rushed to attack them.

Meanwhile, Juba and Samon were busily taking care of the knights as Shishido Maris arrived at the scene.

"I'm Shishido Marris, a Rank C," he said.

"What's up with his axe," Juba asked.

Samon activated his sound ability as he heard one approaching from Maris's back.

"Behind you!" Samon yelled.

Marris then raised his axe as he slashed the knight into two.

"The axe is imbued with magic?" Juba gasped.

"So are the sound user everyone has been talking about," Marris said as Samon Kenji nodded his head.

"Hmmm, there's so much to talk about," Marris added.

Back to Asai and Darwin's battle, both of them were panting heavily as Asai's sword strikes were deflected by Darwin's fist magic. Both of them raced against each other and they clashed as the whole area around them was burning.

"Why didn't you quit swordsmanship?" Darwin asked Asai as his fist was getting close to Asai's face.

"You are wasting your time here," Darwin said as he used his magic to hit Asai and she went hitting a building.

Asai spat out blood as her face was covered in blood and her dress was beginning to wear off. She stuck her sword on the ground to aid her in getting up.

"I don't know why you are here or what you are here for but this is the chance I need to kill you," Asai said as she got up and pointed his sword at Darwin.

"Kunimichi!" Keita said as he jumped in the air kicking both his dual swords with his bare-footed legs.

"I don't need to fight you, but I've got to do it," Keita said.

Kunimichi looked at his brother as he felt pity for him.

"Brother or not, you are still my enemy," Kunimichi said.

"Very well, in the case!" Keita said as his magic began to increase.

"I'm going to do it," Keita said.

Kunimichi examined Keita as his magic was increasing.

"This is bad, if he uses it here, it's all over," he said.

I'm not sure if I can block this attack.

Keita then chanted some spells as the whole area became foggy.

Before Kunimichi could move, Keita had unleashed his magic and another barrier was formed in their barrier.

"What is this place?" Kunimichi asked.

"GATES OF HELL!" Keita replied.

"Gates of hell! Where did he learn this technique from?" Kunimichi asked.

"Moreover, his magic hasn't drained at all," Kunimichi continued.

"Is it because of where he is?" he asked.

"Now I can use the opportunity to kill you," Keita said.

Darwin's sense alerted him about Keita using his technique and then smiled at Asai.

"It seems my friend Keita has dragged your friend to his Gates of Hell," Darwin said.

"What is this gates of hell he's talking about?" Asai asked as she looked afar and saw a foggy place and a barrier.

"Another barrier!" she gasped.

It seems you don't know anything about techniques so maybe I should just show you mine," Darwin announced.

Meanwhile, Tahara was still outside the barrier trying to use his sword to cut through the main barrier.

"Damn it!"

"I still can't penetrate through the barrier," Tahara said.

Miyaguchi informed Tahara that she was coming to break the barrier.

Tahara told her that she couldn't break the barrier but she asked Tahara to believe in her.

Tahara agreed and stepped backward as Miyaguchi rose in the air and said,

"The flames in my body. The daughter of Mikazuki, a flame user. I unleash the second form of the flames."

Idris Colut!

After saying this, the flames around Miyaguchi expanded as Tahara watched closely.

"So this is the second form of the flame user, Idris Colut," Tahara said.

Soon the flames reached the barrier as they all broke Keita's barrier.

"The barrier just broke?" Kunimichi and Marris said as everyone raised their heads to the sky and saw Miyaguchi with the flames revolving around her.

Tahara entered the village as they noticed the village was burning and saw Darwin and Keita fighting Kunimichi and Asai.

Miyaguchi still in the air stared at Asai and Kunimichi fighting Keita and Darwin.

"The other guy fighting Asai is too strong. It seems he may know all that is going on," Miyaguchi said to herself.

"Then that means..." she said.

As Asai and Darwin were about to clash one more time, Miyaguchi suddenly appeared in front of Darwin and looked at him.

"I'll need some answers from you," Miyaguchi said.

"Miyaguchi what the hell are you talking about?" Asai asked.

Miyaguchi turned to look at Asai as her eyes turned golden and her hair color changed.

"This isn't Miyaguchi," Asai let out.

"What the f**k are you doing," Darwin said as he raced towards Miyaguchi.

"Too slow!" she said and raised his index finger as flames started to consume Darwin.

"You won't die, I just need some answers from you," she said as she snapped her fingers and a cage filled with flames captured Darwin and then disappeared

"That would leave just one." "Kunimichi can take care of him," Miyaguchi said as the flames around her disappeared and her hair returned to normal.

Asai caught Miyaguchi and stared at her for some time.

"That wasn't her was she?" Asai asked.

Keita's senses alerted him that Darwin had disappeared and so communicated with Misa through telepathy and told her they were retreating since she had grabbed hold of all the dark souls. Misa agreed as she snapped her fingers and then disappeared.

"Sorry for you, my boss doesn't want me to keep long here to the bye," Keita said to Kunimichi.

"Shit!"

Kunimichi raced toward Keita as he threw his sword but Keita dropped a crystal on the ground it shattered and the whole place was covered in green smoke.

"We'll meet again soon brother," Keita said as he disappeared in the green smoke.

The elder walked to Asai and she explained to the elder what she saw in Miyaguchi.

The elder told Asai that she had awoken her 2nd form so there might be some changes in her.

The elder then poured a healing potion into Miyaguchi's mouth and she started to open her eyes slowly.

"Where am I?" Miyaguchi asked.

"You are still in the village," Asai replied to her.

Miyaguchi rose and looked around. The place was now in ruins as everyone was badly injured.

Miyaguchi spotted the elder as she run to him.

"I awakened my 2nd form, can I now practice swordsmanship?" she asked.

The elder placed his hand on his head and shook his head sideways.

"So you still remember?" he asked.

The elder smiled and granted Miyaguchi permission to study swordsmanship.

Miyaguchi smiled and jumped around as he run to Tahara.

"I can now practice swordsmanship," Miyaguchi said as she reached Tahara so that she could embrace him but Tahara placed his hand on her face to prevent the hug.

"You are overexcited," he said.

Suddenly, they were a shout from afar as one of the servants was running at full speed.

"Master! We've got bad news," one of the master's servants said.
