First class

When she arrived at the building, she opened the door and entered the classroom, where she noticed that there were already many other students present. They looked at her, and she went to her seat, which had a perfect view of the outside.

Myalis noticed a few of the students in the classroom were staring at her in an odd way, so she returned their stare, and they flinched, then turned away from her, and her eyes narrowed.

'What the hell is up with them?' She wondered with a sigh, then the school bell rang and a teacher entered the classroom, they all looked at him before greeting him good morning then he smiled at them.

"Good morning guys, let me get this day started, I am your homeroom teacher, my name is Tobis Adley, now, those who are new, I would like you to stand up please," He said and Myalis sighed, then stood up and the teacher glanced at her then she smiled at him.

"Now, each one of you come forward and placed your hand on this crystal ball, it will help us recognize which ability you possess," She said and the students exited their seats and formed a line.

Each of them took turns touching the ball, and their talents were exactly as written on the form.

"You are Seraphina, right?" The teacher asked and Myalis looked at her then nodded and he smiled at her.

"All right, place your hand on the ball please," He said and she closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

Her palms began to glow blue as the ball began to glow slightly orange.

Seeing the ball glowing orange, Myalis recalled awakening the ability to use fire on a morning while training with Calris and a few other trainers. She was exhausted, tired, and agitated, and she was about to punch one of the trainers since it was combat training, and that's when she unleashed her first set of fire fist, her entire fist glowed orange, and she unleashed a good amount of fire, but the trainer dodged it and was not hurt but was startled.

The others were stunned, and she remembered Lilian's jaw-dropping. She smiled, and her eyes glowed orange before returning to normal then the ball glowed slightly white, and she removed her hands from it and looked at the teacher.

"Well, it appears you are a beast tamer and you have the ability to control fire as well, which is nice, here," He said as he handed her a gold badge with red stripes and she collected it.

"Thank you," She replied.

"You are welcome, you may return to your seats," He said then Myalis went back to her seat and she sat down then pinned the academy's badge on her coat's left side pocket.

"Now, you were all briefed on most of the things by the headmaster, and he didn't leave much for us to explain, but you guys have to follow the timetable that was provided to you, and almost all of you gave the correct information about your abilities, so it's time to get to your classes."

"It's your first day so you won't have much work to do since the teachers have to take care of a lot of things as well, but from tomorrow, I will feel sorry for all of you, now, have a good day and good luck with your first classes for those who are new," He said then left.

Myalis picked up her bag and set it down on the desk. She then pulled out the timetable Lilian had given her and looked through it and saw that she only had three classes on the first day but also understood why.

'Am I the only beast tamer among the students within this class? Good thing I got the application form and a recommendation from Calris,' She thought as she looked around.

With the help of his connections, Calris recommended Myalis to the academy a week before she was officially enrolled. She was accepted without issue, and Lilian assisted her in completing the application. Myalis was appreciative of everything they had done for her.

Myalis grabbed her bag and stood up as a man entered the classroom.

He was tall, slim, tanned, and had short black hair. He appeared to be in his thirties.

"Hey kids, any students with a beast-taming class next follow me," He said, and Myalis approached him, and he smiled at her when he realized she was the only one from 2A.

"Come on kid, let's get you started on the first test within this class, I am your teacher Fuse Yamoru, let's go," He said as he walked away, she smiled and then followed him.

After a short distance of walking, they arrived at a field far from the other buildings. She inhaled deeply, then let it out as the crisp air brushed against her face. She noticed that there were other students present, though only two of them were female, but she didn't mind.

"Hello guys, as you know, you are tested for every class if you are new, I know a few of you have your beasts ready, some of you have already tamed one or a few at least and if you haven't as yet then there is time, for the new students, you will be tested, is that okay?" He inquired, and Myalis and a few others nodded and he smiled at them.

There were about twenty students in the beast tamer class, and some of them appeared to be very strong.

"Now the older students, step forward and begin demonstrating just in case it's needed," He said and the students who were not new started stepping forward, summoning their beasts to show the others.

Myalis gasped when she saw that some of the students had already tamed a few strong beasts, and she was eager to see what else could be accomplished in the class as a beast tamer.

"New students, are you prepared to come forward and demonstrate your abilities?" They nodded in response to the teacher's question. The teacher then turned to Myalis, who gave him a quick glance.

"Come forward, if you haven't tamed one yet, you can try now, or bring forth one you have already tamed; there's no need to rush, got it?" He inquired.

"Yes, sir," She replied and took a step forward, determined to tame her first beast and hoping that it would be something powerful.
