After his meeting with the Gorillas ended, Dezhong lied to Kong and the others, saying he was going for a light jog through Eastern Desper and would return later in the night. With his house still sealed off by the police, he was made to stay with the Gorillas, so it was important they knew of his whereabouts occasionally. 

Getting the chance, Dezhong slipped into the Shadow Realm, hoping to find Sil, Balkium, and Dark Prince still discussing the situation concerning the Shadow Caverns. 

Upon his arrival, Dezhong met with Dark Prince and Sil, who had already prepared a report for him. Amid the report, Balkium approached with a few Nightmares for the others to ride with him to the Badlands.
