Olivia came back to the room and saw Robert still there, sitting by the bed, gazing at Denisa sleeping peacefully. He moves a little when he sees Olivia approach with two bowls of water, one warm and the other cold, to help clean Denisa.
"She will wake up," Olivia assures Robert, as he stares at Denisa with regret. Not being able to save her has been his nightmare.
Robert nods his head, hoping it is true. Denisa has been sleeping for the past three months; it was Robert's powers that helped keep her alive, as he couldn't risk the health of the child.
"It's already three months, Olivia," Robert murmured, looking at her, but the restlessness in his voice was loud.
Olivia heaved a sigh while sitting by the edge of the bed and took the towel, dipping it in the cold water and then in the warm water to balance the temperature, just the way Denisa used to prefer it, and cleaned Denisa's face and neck, holding her hands in hers and wiping it clean.
