CHAPTER 2

-- Charlotte's Residence

Within the spacious room, a group of people were discussing matters at the palace a few days ago, and they were Charlotte's extended family.

"I know you think about our family's reputation, but because you're acting too much, Gabriella has run off somewhere," a middle-aged man said calmly. The man was none other than Duke Charlotte, Duke David Cyrllo Charlotte.

David sighed harshly, and he had been patient enough with Gabriella's troubles. "It's been three days since the incident at the palace, and I will prepare a search team for Gabriella."

"You also, Evan, prepare your search team. After embarrassing the family, She ran away at will. I will punish hER if found."

The few people in the room were just him and didn't budge.

"Father, don't punish Sister Ella. Sister Ella is innocent, father." Mia also spoke up. Even though Mia is only an adopted child, Mia loves Gabriella like a real sister. Likewise, Gabriella loves her two sisters and brother. Gabriella will only be rude to people who are not her family and disturb her.

"I do not want to." Evan rejected David emphatically.

All the Charlotte family knew that Evan hated Gabriella for not awakening her element, which made the Charlotte family ashamed of the other nobles.

"Leave her alone. It's not good she's not around. Our families are protected from the rotten garbage we have accommodated so far. And you, Mia, don't defend her. You're my sister. She's a nobody." Evan said, making the older man sitting at the end of the table, who had been silent for a long time, glance at him.

"Watch your mouth Evan, Gabriella, your sister. I wonder how you treat her like that," the old man said in a high tone. The older man was Charlotte's great master, Sebastian Ferdian Charlotte.

Considering Sebastian had bequeathed the duke title to David and lived in his manor in the western part of the Spinx kingdom, he didn't know what was always going on at the Charlotte residence. He had come just to celebrate his beloved granddaughter Gabriella's birthday in a few days. Sebastian is shocked to hear that his granddaughter was humiliated at Prince Gustav's birthday party to make Gabriella disappear somewhere. It made Sebastian furious to the top.

"Let me look for her, and if I find Gabriella, she will stay with me. No one can punish her, don't mess with me, David," said Sebastian finally, looking at David sarcastically. He could only silently hear his father's words. David knew very well this older man loved Gabriella.

Sebastian left the room, followed by his other wife, Gabriella's grandmother, Caroline Emily Charlotte. Caroline had been silent all this time while hugging Gabriella's mother, Duchess Eliana Emerald Charlotte.

Eliana only wept for her child, who had disappeared somewhere. She blamed herself for rarely being with her children and was busy with her own business, as the gathering of nobles. Eliana felt very sorry and was very afraid of losing the daughter she was carrying and was born with.

Mia knows the woman who has adopted her as her child is very sad because of the loss of Gabriella.

"Mother, sister will be fine. Calm yourself, mother." Mia said softly.

"Mia, I'm afraid of losing Gabriella..."

"… I'm sure, even if Gabriella causes trouble, there must be a reason." continued Eliana staring blankly in any direction.

Mia knows that the woman who has taken care of her since childhood is heartbroken and sad because her ego does not convey her love for Gabriella as a noble.

Mia sighed and hugged her mother. "Let's go to the room, mother," Mia said.

After entering her mother's room, Mia helps her mother to rest. Her mother was too weak from crying too long.

"Mom, rest. Mia wants to go back to the room."

Mia said, leaving her mother.

In Charlotte's family room, there are still 3 men sitting in their chairs. In one chair, a 12-year-old boy stared intently at David and Evan. That child was Gabriella's sister, Leon Gordan Charlotte.

Leon was mad at Evan for keeping Gabriella from coming home and disappearing. So far, only Gabriella and Mia had always wanted to play with him when everyone was busy with their own business.

"What?." Evan asked, seeing Leon staring at him.

Leon left the room with a flat and cold face. After entering his room, Leon immediately destroyed the vase on his desk. He was angry with his older brother and father for always blaming Gabriella.

"Sister, where are you?" Leon said quietly.

Leon shouted and ravaged the whole room, and the maids outside could only be silent. It was the first time they saw their young master so angry and sad. Leon's servants know that this young master is very close and dear to Miss Gabriella.

Already knew the news of the disappearance of Duke Charlotte's first daughter throughout the Spinx kingdom. They thought that making the young noble ladies rejoice because there is no rotten trash in this kingdom.

"Why did you make a decision that might cost us Gustav?" asked the number one man of the Spinx kingdom. He was the King of the Spinx, Watson Dustine Spinx.

"Father, I don't want to be engaged to her. That ugly woman will only embarrass us. He has no talent, after all. Why should I be engaged to that trash?" Gustav vehemently opposes his engagement to Gabriella.

"Gabriella doesn't have the element no doesn't mean she doesn't have Gustav's talent." The king tries to convince Gustav.

"Father pleases you with him because academically Gabriella is very good, of course, we have more advantages than Grandfather Sebastian, you know for yourself how powerful he is even though he is not a Duke anymore, he is not someone to be offended at random," continued the king of the Spinx.

Gustav thought for a moment. His father's words were true. The entire work knows the former Duke Charlotte's strength and power very well. Even though he no longer holds the title of Duke, he is still more powerful than Duke David.

"Never mind, father, my decision is unanimous. I want to get engaged and marry Tiana, the only Tiana I love. After all, Marquess Filarl is no less great than Duke Charlotte." Gustav reassured his father.

Watson sighed.

"Whatever, but later don't regret it."

"If that's what you want, your engagement will be valid when you debut at the age of 17 and make your wedding party after you reach the age of 19", continued the Spinx king.

Not long after, Gustav left the king's room and entered a middle-aged woman who still looked young, still very beautiful considering she was four years old. She is the Queen of the Spinx kingdom, Emily Liliana Spinx.

"Is that all right, my husband?" the Queen asked her husband.

"My Empress, you know how Gustav is. Later I will meet with Duke David to resolve this matter." replied the King.

The Queen just nodded her head. "I think Gabriella is very nice, but can't help it. Our son doesn't want her at all".

Queen Spinx sighed softly, and she knew how her second son's attitude was who only liked beautiful girls. After all, what man wouldn't want to marry a beautiful girl like Marquess Filarl's daughter.
