It was a beast of shadow and flame, its body shifting between solid form and ethereal smoke. Its eyes burned with a fiery light, and its massive claws scraped at the energy chains that bound it, sparks flying with every movement.
"That... is not what I was expecting," Darian whispered, his face pale as he stared at the creature.
Selene's voice trembled. "It's an Abyssal Titan... one of the primordial creatures of chaos. They were thought to be extinct."
Wei Lin's gaze narrowed as she studied the beast. "Extinct or not, it's still chained. And we're here for answers, not a fight."
But even as she spoke, the beast's glowing eyes locked onto them, and the ground beneath their feet shook violently. The chains crackled, weakening as the creature strained against them, its roar echoing through the chamber like thunder.
"It's waking up!" Mara shouted, her daggers at the ready. "We need to move!"
