The path ahead was rugged, leading them deeper into the forest that covered the lower slopes of the Southern Mountains. The air grew cooler as the sun dipped below the horizon, and the first stars began to twinkle in the darkening sky. The forest was dense, the trees towering above them, their branches intertwining to form a natural canopy that blocked out much of the fading light.
As they walked, Selene kept a watchful eye on their surroundings. "We should make camp soon," she suggested. "It's getting dark, and we don't know what dangers might be lurking in these woods."
Wei Lin agreed, and they soon found a small clearing where they could set up camp. The group worked efficiently, gathering firewood and setting up a protective barrier around the perimeter of their camp. The fire crackled to life, casting flickering shadows on their faces as they settled down for the night.
