"Master of the mountain," she began, her voice carrying through the clear air. "We seek your wisdom."
For a long moment, the hermit remained silent, his face hidden in the shadow of his hood. Then, slowly, he raised his head, revealing a weathered face marked by years of solitude and contemplation. His eyes, sharp and clear, seemed to pierce through Wei Lin, as if he could see into the depths of her soul.
"You seek wisdom," the hermit echoed, his voice raspy yet strong. "But wisdom comes with a price. What is it that you wish to know?"
Wei Lin straightened, meeting his gaze with calm determination. "We are in search of the ancient seals that protect the balance of the world. Darkness has risen, threatening to break those seals and plunge the world into chaos. We believe you may have knowledge that can aid us."
