Refine

Inside the main building of the Refining Headquarters, there were three people. Each of them, were doing separate things.

One is an idiot who has the talent of a one in a million genius, one is the head of a powerful division, and was also one of the top experts in the city, and the last one… is a narcissistic asshole that had his OP stats restricted.

They all were doing separate things. One was cursing at his master while being extremely respectful of the other person, the other was cursing at his disciple and sizing up the other person, while the OP-stats-restrict person, was now confused.

If Zhang Wei was speechless before, he was mute now. Many things had happened today, he came to the academy, he learnt some stuff, he was mocked like crazy by the system, and he witness an unbelievable occurrence regarding the system and the Godlike Author.

However, none of those can even compare with when he heard that this idiot named Asyraaf, had a Division Head as his master.

Who could believe it? This narcissistic idiot that thought he was so virtuous, that he even made Zhang Wei take a step back.

To be honest, Zhang Wei only viewed Division Heads as powerful people, because of his experience with Division Head Nar and the Headmaster.

Division Head Nar was elegant and cunning. She made people fall for her and use them to her complete advantage.

The Headmaster was poised, calm and collected. He exuded the presence of a leader and can make people bow to him by his presence alone.

Thus, he assumed that Division Heads, were characters that are synonymous with powerful and influential. That was the reason that he held them in high regard. So Asyraaf being a disciple, a direct one no less, dumbfounded him.

[Am I the main character, or are you?]

Though he didn't exactly dislike it, he was damn jealous. People must look at Asyraaf with reverence and awe. While when people looked at him, they all looked disgusted.

On the outside, they may act like they admire him because of his strength, but inwardly they all mock his ugliness.

The sad thing is, they weren't even trying to hide their disgust which makes it all hurt a lot more.

Division Head Syamil currently was eyeing Zhang Wei from top to bottom, what he saw kind of disappointed him.

Being the closest person to the legendary Alchemist rank, he had a very keen eyesight. He could see a person's aptitude with a single glance.

This was the reason why he got Asyraaf to be his disciple. This kid's aptitude was actually the best that he ever saw. Well second only to the scion of the Alvero Family. Both of them had Pinnacle Aptitude.

Not even the Mayor, the strongest Martial Practitioner is the city's entire history had Pinnacle Aptitude. He was glad he managed to swipe Asyraaf before the other Division Heads could.

Too bad he couldn't prevent Aron Alvero from falling into the hands of the Headmaster, but since he had a somewhat friendly relationship with him, it wasn't really a big lost.

When he heard about Zhang Wei, he was conflicted. He had heard that Zhang Wei had an absurd amount of Spirit Energy and was ready to fight for him from the other Division Heads, but alas Zhang Wei's aptitude was trash.

Refiners didn't really require that much Spirit Energy to refine weapons or pills, but they do require a great amount of comprehension and spiritual control.

A large pool of Spirit Energy might sound fantastic, but if one can't control it, it would be useless nonetheless.

With every increase in cultivation, Martial Practitioners' control over their own Spirit Energy increase exponentially.

In the hands of an expert, a stick could be a legendary sword, but in the hands of a novice, a legendary sword is nothing but a stick.

Since Zhang Wei's Spirit Energy was not really appealing to him, he backed down from fighting for Zhang Wei.

Never would he have thought that his disciple would not only be acquainted with him, but actually brought him here to present him to his master.

He was quite annoyed at how his disciple showed preferential treatment though.

"Well? What did you bring him here for? Are you showing off that you got a friend or something?" Division Head Syamil was interested as to the full extent of their relationship.

"As if retard!" Asyraaf's face was full of scorn. "I want you to give him the Dragon Pass."

"Hoho! Never would I thought that you would ask for that right away. I expected you to ask me for resources first." He wasn't surprised that his disciple asked him for something or bothered for that matter.

"I can give it to him… But you do know the rule, right?"

"Of course. Sir Roland would definitely be able to pass." Asyraaf face showed full confidence.

"Oh?" Division Head was fully interested at why his disciple was so confident with Zhang Wei's abilities.

While the two of them were sort of bickering, Zhang Wei could not help but interject, "Dragon Pass?"

Asyraaf turned to Zhang Wei and blushed, "Oh forgive me Sir Roland, I forgot it's your first day in this academy.

The Dragon Pass in an authorization symbol that allows you access to every formula in the Refining Division. Whether it be Pill Refinement or Weapon Refinement, you can view all of them."

His face was proud, as if he was helpful and was waiting for Zhang Wei to pat his head and tell him 'Good Boy'.

Zhang Wei heard that and was elated. When the system told him that it could refine any pills for him as long as they were under Level 6 with no need for materials, he was excited.

Then he found out that he had to acquire their formula before he could refine them, he flipped his shit. Though he never did find out why he could refine the Restriction Pill, when he didn't have its formula.

Since the Dragon Pass could allow him access to all formulas, of course he was happy. "So what do I have to do to earn it?" He was getting impatient.

"Simple, Sir only needs to refine a Level 5 pill under the observation of this old retard." Asyraaf said with a smile.

"… SHIT!"

Guys, ready for the horrifying ugly?

Oh and I'm planning a mass release soon.

It's not much, just around 4-5 chapters. Give or take.

Look forward to it.
