Meeting 'MY' Family

"Master, did something happen? You seem to have changed. If you need any help for anything, please tell me," Mila said with a clear tone.

If it was someone who didn't know about her true colors, they would have easily trusted her. But as her creator, I knew that she suspected that I had awakened or found some treasure and used it. However, this idiot didn't know that I could see through her face.

Glancing at her from the side, I said, "I realized that the world is very cruel, and I need to get strong to protect my family from any kinds of danger."

"Awww Master, I didn't know you were such a cutie," Mila teased me while pulling my cheeks. But what she said next piqued my interest.

"But are you sure you want to save your 'family'?" she said with a playful face.

What did she mean? Is there something wrong?

Before I could ask her what she meant, we reached the dining table, and I immediately understood what she meant. I got hateful gazes directed at me, or should I say at the boy.

"Yare Yare This seems to be that cliche family plot where the father had a loving wife but she died giving birth to his son, and father hates his son for taking away the love of his life. He then marries other women who hate the first child as he could be a threat to her son's inheritance."

Pushing my thoughts aside, I looked at a middle-aged man who seemed to be my father. And beside him was a woman who looked at me with disgust.

Well, she should be my step-mom, and the kid who seemed to be six or seven years old beside her must be my step-brother.

"Morning father, mother," I greeted them with a little bow.

My father looked at me strangely and nodded lightly, but my stepmom looked at me with disgust. "What were you so busy with that you came late to breakfast, making us wait, you disgusting brat?!!" she spat at me with venom in her voice.

I tried my best to keep my composure and replied calmly, "I am sorry mother, I was feeling a little bit sick."

"Hmph, you better know your place," she said with a sneer.

As I sat down at an empty chair and began eating, my stepbrother, who appeared to be around six or seven years old, kept glaring at me.

"Mommy, why is he here?" he whined, pointing at me with a fork.

My stepmom replied with a smirk, "He's just a bastard child, my dear. He's not worth paying attention to."

I gritted my teeth and tried to ignore their comments, focusing instead on the symbol of the phoenix on the soldiers' uniforms.

My guess was right, this was the Dukedom of Richmond, one of the richest dukedoms in the kingdom of Rosilla. And if that was the case, then my full name must be 'Lloyd Richmond'.

My head was throbbing with pain as if someone had struck it with a hammer. I felt dizzy and my vision was blurred, making everything look like it was underwater.

I could hear the sound of blood rushing in my ears, and my heart was pounding so hard that it felt like it was about to burst out of my chest. The memories of this body were overwhelming, and I could feel the weight of its past weighing down on me.

Everything was a blur, and I could see flashes of a boy who must be the other me.

The pain was almost unbearable, and I had to close my eyes and take deep breaths to keep from passing out. Despite the pain, I forced myself to keep going. I knew that I needed to sort through these memories if I was going to survive in this new world.

Despite feeling a million emotions at once, I kept a straight face and finished my breakfast in silence. After what felt like an eternity, I could see my family looking at me, but no one spoke. The pain in my head was unbearable, and my vision was blurred.

I excused myself, knowing that my stepmom and stepbrother wouldn't hesitate to hurl more insults my way.

I stumbled back to my room and closed the door, collapsing onto the bed. I felt like my head was splitting into a million pieces. I could barely see anything; everything was a blur.

'I hope you have a good story 'Lloyd' '
