Water Under the Battlefield

The episode starts inside a hotel in Viridian City with the sounds of Jessie's moaning and groaning from losing against Leaf. Meowth is outside the room, crossing his arms with a worried expression on his face.

Domino and James both soon arrive where Meowth is with also concerned looks as well. "Is she still crying after losing that Pokémon battle with Leaf?" Domino asked.

Meowth sadly nods in response. "I've been trying to cheer her up, but she won't come out of her room!"

"Maybe I'll try." James walks up to Jessie's hotel room and knocks. "Jessie, it's your friend, James. Come on, you lost many battles before. Why are you specifically bummed out about this one?"

Jessie answers James' question from the inside of her room. "Because it was against Leaf, my rival ever since at school!"

Domino smirks as she turns around and shrugs. "Oh well. I guess we will leave you here in Viridian City and head off to the next location without you!"

The sound of the door can be heard rattling as it opens and Jessie peaks her head out after what Domino said. "What do you mean by that? The league doesn't start until four days."

"We're heading to Cerulean City!" Domino answered.

Jessie gasped in shock at Domino's answer. "CERULEAN CITY?!"

The title screen shows.

"Water Under the Battlefield"

The scene shows the gang outside on the streets of Viridian City now.

"Why do you want to go back to Cerulean City, Domino?" Jessie questioned. "The last time we were there, you were arrested and almost sent to prison!"

Domino scoffs. "Yeah, I know, but that was a long time anyway, I want to go back to Cerulean City to prove a point."

"What point do you want to prove?" Meowth asked.

"That the Pokémon League Officials should pick me to be the Cerulean City Gym Leader and not Misty!" Domino answered. "Once I'm there, I'm gonna go to the Gym and challenge Misty to a Pokémon battle, and then beat her."

"That's great and all, but we're currently in Viridian City and Cerulean City is a little far away from here. How are we going to get there quickly? The league is in four days, Domino!" Jessie exclaimed, reminding Domino about the league starting soon.

"That's where I come in!" James pulls out a Poké Ball. "Charizard, I choose you!" He sends Charizard out from its Poké Ball. Once Charizard materializes, James hops on its back with a satisfying smile. "We can use my Charizard to get to Cerulean City with a snap of a finger!"

"Wow… okay that solves my question, I guess." Jessie soon hops on Charizard's back with Meowth on her shoulder.

Domino looks so hyped about going to Cerulean City. "Watch out Misty, because I'm going to prove a point!" She follows pursuit soon and also hops onto Charizard's back, holding on dearly to her blue Pokémon Egg. "Hang on, my baby, I got you!"

"Alright Charizard, take us to Cerulean City!" James ordered.

Charizard lets out a roar as the flame Pokémon spreads its wings and takes off in the air with the whole gang on their back.

It cuts to Charizard arriving in Cerulean City with the gang and the flame Pokémon right at the front doors of the Cerulean Gym. "Thank you so much, Charizard!" James recalls Charizard back in its Poké Ball.

Domino was so happy as she sprinted towards the Cerulean Gym building until she noticed a note on the double doors. "What's this?" She takes the note off the door as the gang huddles and Domino begins to read it. "'The Cerulean City is currently closed, please come back again soon' Are you kidding me?!"

Jessie just shrugs. "Oh well. Let's head back to Viridian City so I can start my training for the Kanto League Tournament! James, send Charizard back out."

"Hmph!" Domino grabs the doors and pulls them open. "But the doors are not locked. Maybe they just forget to take the note off." She enters the Gym and James follows her.

Jessie groans before following Domino with Meowth. "Just my luck…" She says.

It cuts to the Team Rocket trio spying on the gang entering the Cerulean Gym with their hot air balloon next to him after riding it from Viridian City to follow them.

"Those twerps thought they could get away from us by heading to Cerulean City?" Cassidy assumed.

Butch growls from having to travel so far. "Why are we so dedicated to stealing the twerpette's Meowth from the point that we have to travel so many miles from a hot air balloon?!"

"And that's not even the worst part. The worst part is that our home advantage is gone since they're out of Viridian City now!" Mondo added.

Muk burst out of its Poké Ball on its own. "Muk!"

The Team Rocket trio all hold their noses to block Muk's stench.

"Stop being a nuisance to our noses!" Cassidy says with a frustrated tone while recalling Muk in its Poké Ball and then proceeds to stand up. "Besides, we don't need Viridian City home advantage. Today will be the day that we will steal the twerpette's Meowth for the boss with no distractions this time!"

Butch crosses his arms. "And what's our plan this time, Captain Cassidy?"

"I have no plan!" Cassidy confidently says, holding up her index finger which causes her partners-in-crime to fall in disbelief.

"What do you mean no plan, Cassidy?!" Mondo says in disbelief.

"Relax, besides we got all the time in the world to think of one plan!" Cassidy says, but then she immediately gets one after saying that. "Well you look at that, I got a plan already!"

It cuts to the gang inside the Cerulean Gym, it's empty and they haven't spotted anyone in the Gym at all. The gang reaches to the battlefield and there is still no one to be seen.

"Hello, is anyone here?" Domino shouted.

"I think the Gym is closed, Domino. Does that mean we're trespassing?!" Jessie starts to panic about breaking the law.

"When they left the door unlocked, we're not technically trespassing, Jessie," Domino replied.

The gang soon heard three familiar female voices getting louder and louder in the battlefield area. "I can't believe you like to miss your chance to flirt with that cute guy, Violet!" "Hey! I got nervous okay?! You would've been nervous too, Daisy! Back me up, Lily!" "I like to choose not to get involved with this at all!" It was the three Sensational Sisters, Daisy, Violet, and Lily. The three sisters walked into the battlefield and they saw the gang and each group started staring at each other.

"What are guys like doing here?" Daisy asked.

"Yeah. Didn't you guys like to see the note at the front door?" Violet asked.

James answers the questions. "Well young ladies, the door was unlocked, so we assumed that you guys just forgot to take down that note and that's why we're here!"

The three sisters look and glare at Lily. "Lily! You told us that you locked the front door of the Gym before we headed out!" Daisy scolds

Lily rubs her head, embarrassed, and chuckles. "Oops…"

"What do you guys want anyways?" Violet asked the gang.

Domino steps up towards the three sisters, clutching her fist. "I challenge Misty, whatever she is, to a Pokémon battle! Not for a badge, but to prove that I deserve to be the Gym Leader of this Gym and not her!"

Daisy shrugs with a dumb smile. "Sorry to, like, burst your bubble, but Misty is once more out of town again."

Domino falls in disbelief after hearing that Misty is out of town again. "You gotta be kidding me…"

"Unfortunately we're not." Violet replied. "So we three are currently taking over the Gym as Misty is currently away."

"Why is Misty always away?" Jessie asked. "The last time we were in Cerulean City, Misty was way too!"

Meowth nods in agreement. "Yeah! What's the deal with the redhead and why is she always away and not running her Gym?"

The three sisters look at each other with confusion. "Last time?" Lily repeated what Jessie said in confusion. Daisy realized something and pointed it out. "Oh, I remember now! You guys totally saved our Pokémon from Team Rocket!" "And she was locked up in prison!" Violet says, pointing at Domino.

Domino growls from reliving that memory. "Yes… but I was falsely accused, besides that's all in the past. If I can't challenge Misty, then I challenge all three of you to a Pokémon battle. One each of your Pokémon against my three Pokémon, best out of three, and I'll be using a different Pokémon each round!"

The three sisters looked at each other and started thinking about the idea. "What do you think, girls?" Daisy asked. "Well, we do kinda owe them for saving our Pokémon from Team Rocket," Violet says earning a nod in agreement from Lily. "It is true, we do owe them." She says. The sisters break their huddle as Daisy announces to Domino they accept her challenge. "We three accept your challenge!"

Domino clutches her fist in excitement. "Yes!" She then starts speaking inside her mind. "If I can't beat Misty because she's away then I will beat her three sisters!" She then turns her direction towards her friends, Jessie and James. "Jessie, James, can you both do big favors for me?"

Jessie and James looked at each other before nodding in response. "Sure!" They both said.

Domino leans close to them so that the three sisters won't hear. "Jessie, is it okay if I use Meowth against one of the sisters?"

Jessie's eyes widened. "You want to use my Meowth in your battle? You got three Pokémon ready to battle, why not use them?"

"I feel like my Pokémon won't be that strong enough against experienced Gym Leaders like them. So, can I please borrow Meowth a little bit for this battle?" Domino asked nicely with a beg.

"I mean if Meowth is okay with it," Jessie replied, looking down at Meowth.

Meowth just shrugs in response. "Sure, I don't mind at all! Besides, this is the perfect opportunity for some training and to get stronger for the Kanto League Tournament!"

Domino picks up Meowth and hugs the talking Pokémon. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much!"

Meowth groans in annoyance from being hugged. "Let me go or I'll claw your face up!"

Domino's eyes widened and she let go of Meowth. "Sorry…"

"Wait, what favor do you want from me?" James asked before now having a confident look on his face. "Wait don't tell me, just like with Jessie you want to borrow one of my strong Pokémon as well for your battle too huh?"

"Oh yeah!" Domino presents her blue Pokémon Egg to James. "Will you watch and take care of my baby as I battle?"

James falls in disbelief before quickly getting back up and accepting Domino's Pokémon Egg to look after. "Okay…"

Domino bows as thanks to her friends. "Thank you both so much!"

"Hey don't sweat it!" Jessie replied with a smile. "Now go prove why you deserve to be a Gym Leader!"

Domino smirks and nods in response. "Right!"

It cuts to the pool battlefield of the Cerulean Gym with Domino, with Meowth by her side, standing on one of the platforms above the water and the three sisters standing on the other platform on the other side of the battlefield. "Alright, which of you sisters I'm going to take down first!" Domino yelled out from the other side.

"I'll go first!" Lily declared, stepping in front of her sisters against Domino, and pulling out a Poké Ball.

Lily's sisters wish her good luck. "Good luck, sis!" "Yeah, like, kick her butt for us!"

Domino pulls out a Poké Ball. "Clefable, you're up first!" She starts Clefable on the other platform of the pool battlefield.

Clefable materializes. "Clefable!"

"I'll start with Seaking, I choose you!" Lily chooses Seaking to fight against Domino's Clefable as she sends the Pokémon out.

Seaking materializes in the pool. "Seaking!"

Domino commands the first move. "Alright, Clefable, Metronome!"

Clefable starts moving its finger around while saying its cry. "Clefable! Clefable! Clefable!" Clefable gets surrounded by pink petals and then the Pokémon sends them directly towards Seaking.

"I think that was Petal Dance!" Domino confirmed.

"Seaking, like, dodge it by going in the water!" Lily countered.

"Seaking!" Seaking dives into the water of the battlefield to completely dodge the Petal Dance.

Clefable starts looking around the water in confusion, trying to spot Seaking. "Clefable?"

"Now use Horn Attack!" Lily commanded.

Seaking pops out of the water behind Clefable and attacks the fairy Pokémon as Clefable cries out in pain from taking damage. Seaking dives back into the water.

"Ah, Clefable!" Domino called out.

"Since the battlefield is surrounded by water, our water Pokémon totally has the advantage!" Lily states with a chuckle.

Meanwhile, Jessie and James are watching the battle from the sidelines. "I think Domino should've started the battle with her Starmie, so she could have the water-type advantage too," Jessie says.

"Maybe she wants to get the first win of the battle so that it would be much easier for her in the second round if she does use Starmie," James replied.

Lily's sisters start cheering for her from behind. "You got this Lily!" "Yeah, you have the water as your advantage!"

Domino starts to think to herself. "I have to find out how to beat Seaking when it dives into the water below us, but beforehand." She calls out her next move out loud. "Clefable, use Double Team!"

"Clefable!" Clefable makes illusion copies of itself surrounding its platform.

Domino smirks. "I hope your Seaking knows how to pick the right Pokémon!"

Lily grits her teeth. "Seaking, use Fury Attack!"

"Seaking!" Seaking pops out of the water and starts attacking the bunch of Clefable on the platform, but only hitting illusion after illusion.

"Now's your chance Clefable, use Double Slap!" Domino commanded.

"Clefable!" All the Clefable illusions disappear as the real Clefable slaps Seaking twice right on the face, dealing damage to the Pokémon as it dives back into the water.

"Seaking, use Rest while you're underwater!" Lily commanded.

While underwater, Seaking slowly goes to sleep while swimming around as its health completely heals up after getting hit by the Double Slap.

Lily smiles "And Seaking is all healed up! Even if they're asleep, you can't see my Seaking in the water. So go ahead and make your next move!"

"All I have to do is use Metronome and hope Clefable picks the right move that I need!" Domino fires back. "Clefable, use Metronome!"

Clefable starts moving its fingers while saying its cry. "Clefable! Clefable! Clefable!"

Domino starts talking inside her mind as her Clefable is performing Metronome. "Come on Clefable, pick the right move, I believe in you!"

Once Clefable stops moving its fingers, yellow powerful electricity shoots right out of Clefable and into the water, completely electrocuting the whole pool, including Seaking, crying in pain.

Domino laughs. "Yes! Clefable landed on Thunder, the move that I wanted!"

"Oh no, Seaking!" Lily called out.

A few seconds later, Seaking resurfaces from the pool, completely electrocuted and knocked out from the battle.

Domino cheers from her first-round victory. "And round one goes to me, Domino!"

Meowth, right next to Domino, nods in approval and claps. "Nice one, Domino!"

"Hey Jessie, Domino used the same strategy as you did with Meowth when you were battling Misty. Electrocuting the pool!" James pointed out.

"Hey, yeah you're right, James! Way to go, Domino!" Jessie cheered.

"Nice job, Clefable! Thank you so much for coming on top!" Domino recalls Clefable back in its Poké Ball.

Lily turns towards her sisters with a frown. "I'm sorry girls, I failed you both."

Daisy and Violet both pat Lily's back. "It's okay girl, we both know you tried your very best!" Daisy says, trying to cheer her sister up.

"I'll win this next round, just watch!" Violet steps forward on the platform, signaling she's next to Domino as she pulls out a Poké Ball. "I'm next, blonde!"

Domino chuckles before pulling out a Poké Ball as well. "Just a little reminder, since the pool is currently surrounded by electricity, you can't use your advantage of hiding under the pool!"

"Wasn't planning on it! Magikarp, I choose you!" Violet sends out Magikarp onto the battlefield platform.

Magikarp materializes and starts splashing up and down on the land. "Karp! Karp!"

Domino and Meowth both start laughing and pointing once they see Magikarp. "Are you serious, a Magikarp?! Wow, you're all giving up already?" Domino asked, rhetorically. "Maybe you should've trained it enough so it can evolve into a Gyarados," Meowth added.

Violet immediately grits her teeth at Magikarp getting insulted. "Like I know my Magikarp is stronger than any average Magikarp. So, like, throw your next Pokémon in already!"

"Fine, geez! Starmie, I choose you!" Domino sends out Starmie next into the battle.

Starmie materializes onto the platform of the battlefield. "HYAH!"

Domino starts out the round with the first move. "Starmie, use Water Gun!"

Starmie sends out water right at Magikarp from its gem, avoiding going into the electrocuted water below.

Violet quickly counters with her move. "Magikarp, dodge it with Splash!"

"Karp!" Magikarp splashes up from the platform so high to avoid Starmie's Water Gun. Magikarp was so high from the ground that it amazed the gang.

"Look at that, James!" Jessie says from seeing how high Magikarp is.

"Magikarp terrifies me more now…" James admitted.

Domino immediately questions Magikarp's height from the ground when it uses Splash. "What the absolute hell?!"

Violet chuckles. "I told you to not underestimate my Magikarp!"

Magikarp soon lands back on the platform, still flopping on it. "Karp! Karp!"

Domino grits her teeth. "No way I'm not going to be taken down by a Magikarp! Starmie, use Rapid Spin!"

"HYAH!" Starmie spins like a saw blade, using the tips of its appendages as a cutting edge. Starmie starts spinning right over the water below to avoid being electrocuted and right at Magikarp.

Violet commands the same move from before. "Splash, once more!"

"Karp!" Magikarp splashes up high once more on the battlefield to dodge Starmie's Rapid Spin, as the Pokémon stops spinning as the Pokémon is at the edge of the platform, about to fall into the electrocuted water.

"STARMIE, DON'T FALL IN THE WATER!" Domino yelled out.

Starmie immediately stops itself from falling into the electrocuted water as the Pokémon sighs in relief before getting landed on by Magikarp from above.

"Karp! Karp!" Magikarp starts flopping while on top of Starmie.

Domino gasped at what she was seeing. "Starmie, get Magikarp off of you!"

Starmie starts struggling to get Magikarp off of it, which the Pokémon does so, but not without getting exhausted.

"Now use Tackle!" Violet commanded.

"Karp!" Magikarp tackles Starmie right into the electrocuted water below the battlefield. Starmie gets electrocuted and faints from the battle.

"STARMIE, NO!" Domino yelled out in shock.

Meowth scoffs and laughs. "I can't believe you got taken down by a Magikarp!"

Domino growls at Meowth's comment before recalling her Starmie back into its Poké Ball. "Don't forget that you're up next, hairball! You better not let me down!"

"Magikarp, you did so great, return!" Violet recalls Magikarp back into its Poké Ball before she turns to get sisters with a smile on her face. "I did girls! I did it!"

Daisy and Lily both smile back at Violet, hugging her sister. "Nice job, girl!" Daisy says. "Yeah, you did amazing, sis!" Lily added.

"Thank you, girls!" Violet turns to her sister, Daisy. "Alright sis, your turn! You know what to do!"

Daisy nods before stepping up to the plate to face Domino next as she pulls out a Poké Ball. "Dewgong, I choose you!" She sends out her Dewgong onto her platform of the battlefield.

Dewgong materializes as it cheerfully claps its hands. "Dewgong!"

Domino grabs Meowth as the talking Pokémon yelps. "Alright Meowth, I choose you!" She throws Meowth onto her platform on the battlefield while the talking Pokémon is screaming while doing so.

"Well this is it, if Domino wins, she proves her point, if Daisy wins, the sisters win," Jessie stated.

James nods in agreement. "With the water being electrocuted, I don't know if Meowth is going to get to Dewgong to use his sharp claws for attacks."

Meowth growls while looking back at Domino. "You could've been a little more gentle!"

"I don't care, just use Thunderbolt!" Domino says, commanding the first move of this round.

Electricity starts flowing around Meowth's body before sending a powerful bolt of lightning at Dewgong, as the Sea Lion Pokémon cries out in pain from taking damage from a super-effective move.

Domino smirks. "How do you like them apples?"

Daisy still had a smirk on her face. "Dewgong, use Rest!"

Dewgong slowly falls asleep as it recovers its energy and heals up after Meowth's Thunderbolt.

Domino raises her eyebrow. "So? I can just use Thunderbolt again and your Dewgong will still be asleep! Meowth, Thunderbolt once more!"

"Time to end you for good, sleepy head!" Electricity flows around Meowth's body once more before sending another bolt of lightning right at Dewgong.

"I don't think so! Dewgong, use Sleep Talk!" Daisy commanded.

"Sleep talk?!" The gang all said together from hearing that move for the first time.

While Dewgong was asleep the Sea Lion Pokémon releases a white or multicolored beam from the horn on its head at Meowth, obliterating the Thunderbolt and hitting Meowth in general as the talking Pokémon takes damage.

"Ow! What the hell was that?!" Meowth asked, shocked and confused.

Daisy answers with a smirk. "That was Sleep Talk! Like, once Dewgong is asleep, Dewgong will still use one of its moves even when asleep and it looks like my Dewgong chose Aurora Beam!"

Violet and Lily both praise Daisy for her strategy. "Good going, girl!" Violet says. "Yeah, you're, like, so awesome!" Lily added.

Domino starts thinking in her mind. "I can only use Thunderbolt because it's the move in Meowth's moveset that can reach Dewgong without going in the water! Whatever, if it ain't broke don't fix it!" She now commands her next move out loud. "Thunderbolt again!"

For the third time, Meowth sends a bolt of lightning from its body, surrounded by electricity, right at Dewgong. "Take this!"

Daisy also commands the same move she used before. "Sleep Talk again!"

A light blue ball of energy forms on Dewgong's horn while the Sea Lion is sleeping, then multiple light blue beams of energy fire at Meowth, destroying the talking Pokémon's Thunderbolt again and then hitting Meowth, completely freezing Meowth.

"MEOWTH, NO!" Jessie screamed from the sidelines.

"HE'S BEEN FROZEN!" James added.

Daisy chuckles. "And it looks like Dewgong's Ice Beam was chosen this time, freezing your Meowth completely!"

Domino was staring at Meowth, frozen, completely in disbelief and defeated.

Dewgong's eyes open back up. "Dewgong!"

"And guess who's back awake as well! Alright, Dewgong ends this battle with a-" Before Daisy could call out her next move, the entire building starts shaking, causing everyone, but Meowth who was frozen, to stumble around.

The three sisters start hugging each other in fear while screaming. "Like, what is happening?!" Lily questioned in fear. "I don't know girl!" Violet answered. "Is it an earthquake?!" Daisy assumed.

"What is that, James?!" Jessie questioned in fear.

"I-I don't know, but I'm scared!" James answered.

Domino remained calm before everyone's question of what was happening is answered as a big tank burst from the wall with a big red letter R on it as familiar evil laughter was heard as the top of the tank opened up a little with the Team Rocket trio appearing slowly from the tank, holding onto bazookas.

Cassidy and Butch start doing their motto. "Prepare for trouble!" "And you can make that double!" "To infect the world with devastation!" "To blind all people within every nation!" "To denounce the goodness of truth and love!" "To extend our wrath from the stars above! "Cassidy!" "And Butch of course!" "We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night!" "Surrender now or you will surely lose the fight!" Mondo jumps in front of them for his line. "I'm Mondo alright!" Muk breaks out of its Poké Ball to appear in the motto. "Muk!" The Team Rocket trio soon hold their noses from Muk's stench. "Get back in your Poké Ball now!" Cassidy demanded, recalling Muk to its Poké Ball.

"TEAM ROCKET!" The gang shouted.

Daisy realizes that they have seen the trio before. "Wait, aren't you, like, the three losers who tried to steal our Pokémon last time?"

"We won't be losers this time, observe!" Cassidy shoots her bazooka and out comes a pink ball, hitting the sisters and then Dewgong as they get splattered with a pink substance.

"Like, what is this sticky stuff?!" Violet tries to get out of it but is trapped in it. "I can't get out!"

Dewgong cries out from being stuck. "Dewgong! Dewgong!"

"It's Team Rocket's most chewy, sticky, and delicious gum! First examples are free!" Butch says, firing their gum bazooka at Jessie and James.

Jessie and James try to get out but they're trapped. "I can't get out!" Jessie exclaimed. "This gum is too sticky and powerful!" James added.

"And we haven't forgotten about you, blonde!" Mondo fires his gum bazooka right at Domino.

Domino tries to dodge it by diving in the water from the platform she's standing on over the pool, stopping herself from realizing the water is electrocuted. "I forgot…" Then she gets hit by the gum bazooka and is now stuck too. "I can't believe my Thunderbolt also screwed me too!"

"And looky there, your battle also did us a favor by freezing Meowth so that he won't be struggling or putting up a fight when we're gonna steal it!" Cassidy presses a button.

Soon, robotic hands come out in front of their tank as the robotic hands extend the platform where the frozen Meowth is and grab him, retrieving where Team Rocket is.

"Jessie, send out a Pokémon, they're gonna get Meowth!" James demanded.

"I'm trying but-" Jessie tries to reach into her purse to pull out a Poké Ball, but the gum is so strong that she can't reach it. "This gum is so sticky that I can't reach my purse!"

Soon the sounds of everyone else struggling and trying to get out of Team Rocket's gum are heard, but they can't get out.

Butch laughs. "Look at them, they're too stuck. Let's get out of here!"

"On it!" Mondo says, going back in their tank, Butch and Cassidy following, then the tank reverses and starts leaving the Gym through the home Team Rocket created earlier, with the frozen Meowth still in the grasp of the tank's robotic arm.

"I can't believe it, we're going to steal Meowth this time!" Butch says with a smile on his face.

"Looks like all of those failed attempts have finally paid off!" Cassidy added with a smile on her own.

"This calls for a victory chant!" Mondo declared.

The Team Rocket trio starts chanting all together, thinking they have won. "We finally got Meowth! We finally got Meowth! We finally got Meowth!"

"HOLD IT!" The voice of a girl was heard, causing the Team Rocket trio to stop their victory chanting and look at who was in front of them. It was the Cerulean Gym Leader Misty, crossing her arms with an angry expression on her face. "You three dumb losers better let go of Meowth right now!" Misty demanded the criminal trio.

Cassidy uses the microphone inside their tank to communicate back. "Oh yeah?! What makes you think we won't just run you over, you annoying pest?" She turns to Mondo. "Run her over!"

"Here we go!" Mondo pulls the lever to control the tank's movement as it starts going towards Misty.

"I don't think so!" Misty quickly pulls out two Poké Balls. "Starmie and Staryu, take out their front wheels with Rapid Spin!" She sends out both Starmie and Staryu.

As Starmie and Staryu materialized, they were already spinning and damaging the front wheels of Team Rocket's tank, preventing them from going even more forward.

"That brat just took out our front wheels! Mondo, go in reverse!" Butch ordered with a frustrated tone.

"But if we go in reverse, we're gonna go back where we came from, in the Gym!" Mondo replied, a little worried.

Cassidy growls, also frustrated. "Then I guess we will deal with that redhead brat ourselves!"

The top of the tank opens up as the Team Rocket trio appears with their gum bazookas in their hands. "You think you can stop us?!" Butch says, rhetorically as he and his partners-in-crime start firing their gum bazookas right at Misty.

"AH!" Misty quickly starts dodging every single blast coming her way by moving out of the way fast, including her Pokémon as well.

After blasting their gum bazookas many times at Misty, Team Rocket soon ran out of gum ammo in their bazookas. "Dammit, out of ammo! Let's deal with that annoying twerp with our Pokémon!" Cassidy demanded as she, Butch, and Mondo all pulled out a Poké Ball, ready to send out their Pokémon into battle. "Raticate, go!" "Primeape, get her!" "Marowak, you're up!"

Team Rocket's Pokémon materializes. "Raticate!" "Primeape!" "Marowak!"

The Team Rocket trio soon commands their Pokémon to attack. "Raticate, Hyper Fang!" "Primeape, Cross Chop!" "Marowak, Bonemerang!"

Raticate dashes towards Staryu with its teeth glowing white and getting sharper. Primeape goes towards Starmie, its hands glowing white and crosses them. Marowak throws its bone toward Misty's Pokémon.

"Dodge those moves, Starmie and Staryu!" Misty countered.

Staryu manages to move out of the way to dodge Raticate's Hyper Fang and Starmie also moves out of the way to dodge Primeape's Cross Chop, but both Pokémon were caught off guard by the bone that Marowak threw, hitting Starmie and Staryu right in their gems, fainting and retrieving to Marowak.

Mondo laughs. "Bingo! Two at the price of one!"

Cassidy and Butch both smile seeing Misty's Pokémon knocked out by Marowak. "Nice job, Mondo!" Cassidy praised. "Yeah! Now we can get out of here!" Butch added.

Misty grits her teeth and recalls Staryu and Starmie back in their Poké Balls. "Staryu and Starmie return!" She pulls out a different Poké Ball from her pockets. "Not so fast, I still have one Pokémon left! Poké Ball, go!" Misty sends out her last Pokémon into battle.

What materialized was a Pokémon with blue, bipedal duck-like features. "Golduck!"

"What the 'duck' is that?" Cassidy asked, raising an eyebrow and making a pun.

Butch joins in with a pun of his own. "I have no 'ducking' clue."

Mondo laughs. "It's three against one, we're gonna 'waddle' ourselves to the finish line!"

"Won't count on it! Golduck, use Surf!" Misty commanded.

"Golduck!" Golduck creates a huge wave and rides on top of it as the huge wave starts heading towards Team Rocket and their Pokémon.

Their Pokémon starts shaking in fear and Team Rocket huddles themselves, also in fear. "DUCK!" Cassidy yelled out with a non-intended pun. "Yeah, I see one, up there!" Butch jokingly replied at Cassidy's non-intended pun. "Oh, how the tides have turned on us…" Mondo says, making another pun.

The big wave that Golduck creates completely floods Team Rocket, their Pokémon, and their tank. This causes Raticate, Primeape, and Marowak to faint, Team Rocket to be flung back by hitting their tank, and their tank is now surrounded in static.

The water also causes Team Rocket's tank to malfunction and let go of Meowth, who isn't frozen anymore because of the water from Golduck's Surf melting the ice. "Hey, I'm not frozen anymore!" Meowth looks behind him to see the tank surrounded by static and quickly runs to Misty and hides behind her.

The tank soon blows up, sending the Team Rocket trio blasting off and their fainted Pokémon. "Don't worry guys, we can fix our tank with some 'duck' tape!" Mondo laughs at his pun until receiving a blow right on his head from Butch. "ENOUGH WITH THE DUCKING DUCK PUNS!" Butch screamed out, before he also received a blow from his head, but by Cassidy. "LOOK WHO'S QUACKING!" Cassidy replied, frustrated. "LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Ding!

Misty looks at the sky where Team Rocket blasts off with a satisfying smile. "That was a close one! Thankfully I showed up at the right time." She then looks at Meowth. "Are you okay, Meowth?"

Meowth dusted himself off. "Even though I got frozen and almost kidnapped where I can't free myself or do anything, I'm fine."

It cuts to Misty spraying the gum off of the gang and her sisters with Golduck shooting water out of its mouth with everyone being free.

"MEOWTH!" Jessie runs up to Meowth, picking him up, and hugging her Pokémon. "I'm so glad you're okay and unfrozen too!"

Meowth points to Misty behind him. "Thanks to the redhead or I would've been a goner!"

Jessie looks at Misty who waves at her as she smiles at the redhead. "Hey Misty! It's nice to see you again. Thank you so much for saving my Meowth!"

James nods in agreement. "And for helping us get out of that gum too!"

Misty chuckles and rubs her head. "Oh, it was nothing." She then receives a group hug from her three sisters out of nowhere.

"Welcome back, little sister!" Daisy said with a smile.

"Yeah! You also did awesome by kicking some criminal butt!" Violet added, also smiling.

"Way to go sis!" Lily also added with a smile of her own.

"Aww, stop it, you guys!" Misty chuckles from embarrassment.

Domino clears her throat as Misty turns around to see Domino with her arms crossed. "Well, it's about time you showed up!" Domino says.

"Oh… hey Domino." Misty awkwardly waves hello to her.

"Thanks for saving us and Meowth, I'll appreciate that, but that's all now in the past. I challenge you to a one-on-one non-Gym Pokémon battle!" Domino pulls out a Poké Ball and aims it directly at Misty.

Misty smirks before giving out her answer. "Okay, I'll accept your challenge. But fair warning, my Golduck is very strong!"

Golduck battle cries. "Golduck!"

"I've never seen that Pokémon before." Jessie pulls out her Pokédex and aims it at Misty's Golduck.

"Golduck, the Duck Pokémon. The evolved form of Psyduck. A water type. Often seen swimming elegantly by lake shores. It is often mistaken for the Japanese monster, Kappa."

"I don't care how strong your Golduck is, I'm still going to beat you!" Domino declared.

It cuts to the outside of the Gym, next to the hole where Team Rocket creates with their tank. Domino and Misty are standing far away from each other to create a battlefield around them as the two girls are having an intense staredown. The sisters, Jessie, James, and Meowth are on the sidelines, ready to watch this battle.

"Wait, does that mean my battle with Domino is counted as a draw?" Daisy asked.

Violet shrugs and answers. "I guess so."

"You did great out there anyways, girl!" Lily complimented.

Misty looks at her Golduck. "Ready, Golduck?"

Golducks nods in response and jumps onto the made-up battlefield. "Golduck!"

Domino still has her Poké Ball in her hand from earlier. "Bulbasaur, I choose you!" She sends Bulbasaur into battle.

Bulbasaur materializes. "Bulbasaur!"

Domino commands the first move of the battle. "Bulbasaur, use Razor Leaf!"

"Bulba!" Bulbasaur sends out razor-sharp leaves from under its bulb right at Golduck.

Misty quickly counters. "Golduck, use your Fury Swipes!"

"Golduck!" Golduck avoids Bulbasaur's Razor Leaf by slashing the razor-sharp leaves with its claws in half.

Misty continues with her attack. "Now use Disable!"

Golduck's eyes glow blue and a blue aura appears around it, then Bulbasaur soon gets surrounded by a blue aura as well, as it can't use Razor Leaf for a while now.

Domino grits her teeth. "Great, the only super-effective move I have and I can't use it! Alright, Bulbasaur, use your Sweet Scent!"

"Bulba!" Bulbasaur releases a pink powder from the flower on its back right at Golduck as the duck Pokémon feels a little dizzy and relaxed.

Domino also continues with her attack. "Now use Sleep Powder!"

Misty's eyes widened and countered. "Golduck, dodge it, quick!"

Bulbasaur releases a sparkling light-blue powder from the bulb on its back right at Golduck. The duck Pokémon couldn't dodge it at all from the Sweet Scent still in effect as Golduck fell asleep.

"Oh no!" Misty says in shock.

"I wonder what Domino's gonna do while Golduck is asleep," Jessie says.

James nods in response. "This could be interesting."

"Alright Bulbasaur, use Growth!" Domino commanded.

"Bulba!" The bulb on Bulbasaur's back glows white and grows larger, increasing its attack.

Golduck continued sleeping as it was heard snoring.

Domino commands the same move from before. "Use Growth again!"

Once more, the bulb on Bulbasaur's back begins to glow white and grow a little bit more in size, boosting its attack more.

Misty looks to see that her Golduck is still sleeping. "Come on, Golduck! I know you like being lazy, but this is ridiculous!"

To everyone's shock, Domino uses the same move again for the third time. "Use Growth once more!"

Bulbasaur's bulb glows white and grows in size for the third time as its attack increases more.

"I don't get it, why is she spamming the same move?" Meowth asked.

"Whatever she is doing, let's hope this is Domino's strategy," James says.

"Or she's a complete idiot and doesn't know what she's doing." Jessie countered.

Golduck's eyes open, as the duck Pokémon is now awake. "Golduck!"

Misty smiles in delight from seeing her Golduck awake. "Finally you're awake, Golduck! Now use your Hydro Pump!"

Domino quickly tries to counter. "Try to put it back to sleep with your Sleep Powder, Bulbasaur!"

"Golduck!" "Bulbasaur!" Both have a Pokémon battle cry as Bulbasaur releases a sparkling light-blue powder from its bulb right at Golduck, but Golduck opens its mouth and releases a powerful stream of water that obliterates Bulbasaur's Sleep Power and hits the Seed Pokémon dead in the face, flinging Bulbasaur back, and hitting the ground while crying in pain.

"BULBASAUR, NO!" Domino cried out.

Misty chuckles, thinking she won the battle. "Well, it looks like I won, Domino. It was a nice battle, wasn't it?" Until she looks to see Bulbasaur starts glowing completely white. "What's this?!"

"B-Bulbasaur?" Domino stuttered in shock seeing her Bulbasaur glow completely white.

Bulbasaur starts changing its features, slowly evolving. Once the white glow fades away, it's revealed that Bulbasaur has evolved. "Ivysaur!" Domino's newly evolved Pokémon cried out.

The gang gasped in shock from the sideline. "Bulbasaur evolved into Ivysaur!" James pointed out. "Ivysaur, huh?" Jessie says, pulling out her Pokédex and aiming it at Ivysaur.

"Ivysaur, the Seed Pokémon. The evolved form of Bulbasaur. A grass and poison type. The bulb on its back grows by drawing energy. It gives off an aroma when it is ready to bloom."

The three of Misty's sisters widened their eyes seeing that Bulbasaur evolved. "This is like… so bad news, girls."

Domino smiles in delight from seeing her seed Pokémon evolve. "I'm so glad you evolved for me! Alright, Bulba- I mean Ivysaur, use Razor Leaf!"

"Ivysaur!" Ivysaur sends out more razor-sharp leaves right at Golduck, except they are bigger and sharper this time.

Misty tries the same strategy she used earlier. "Golduck cut through them with your Fury Swipes like last time!"

Golduck tried to slash through Ivysaur's razor-sharp leaves, but Golduck couldn't do it this time as these razor-sharp leaves were more powerful and difficult to cut through than before. Golduck ends up getting hit by them and cries in pain. "Golduck!" Golduck falls to the ground from the Razor Leaf and faints from the battle.

"OH NO, GOLDUCK!" Misty sprints towards her Golduck.

Domino pumps her fist in the air and hugs her Ivysaur. "We did it, Ivysaur, you won the battle for me!"

"Ivysaur!" Ivysaur nuzzles its trainer in delight.

Misty sighs as she smiles and recalls Golduck. "You did great, Golduck. Return and get a good rest."

It cuts to the gang, Misty, and her three sisters all at the entrance of the Cerulean Gym and looking at each other, ready to say goodbye.

Misty praises Domino with her battling skills. "Well, that was an awesome battle, Domino. You did fantastic against me and my sisters too!"

Domino smirks and crosses her arms. "Yeah, but that also means I won and the League should've picked me as the Cerulean Gym Leader!"

Daisy interrupts Domino's little celebration. "Hold on here! Like, we all know I had you beat, you're just lucky that Team Rocket interrupted at the last moment. So we will just call it a draw."

"She has a point, Domino." Jessie chuckles.

Meowth nods. "You can't deny that!"

Domino sighs and puts her head down. "Yeah, whatever. Can we leave now?"

"Oh, sure!" James pulls out a Poké Ball. "Charizard, come on out!" He sends out his Charizard, which roars once the flame Pokémon materializes. "Back to Viridian City, right?" James asked.

Jessie nods. "Yep! I'm heading back to Route 22 to arrive at the Indigo Plateau before the opening ceremony of the Kanto League Tournament starts!"

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get out of here!" Meowth demanded.

The gang all hopped on Charizard's back as the flame Pokémon spread its wings, getting ready to fly away.

Misty and her sisters wave goodbye to the gang. "Bye, Jessie! It's nice to see you again and good luck in the league tournament!" Misty says.

The gang waved goodbye back to the four sisters. "Thank you, Misty! It was nice seeing you too!" Jessie replied.

"Oh Domino, I almost forgot." James slightly opens his leather coat to reveal Domino's blue Pokémon Egg inside. "Here's your egg back." He hands Domino her egg back.

Domino smiles in delight and happily takes her Pokémon Egg back. "Thank you so much for looking after it, James!"

"Alright, Charizard-" James points at the sky. "Take off!"

Charizard roars as it starts flying back to Viridian City with the gang on its back.

"After a major victory against the Gym Leader, Misty, Domino has proved herself that she can be a competitive Gym Leader if only she was selected for the job! Did the league administrators make the wrong choice? Who knows, but the journey will continue!"
