Move Along, Snorlax!

"Our heroes continue the trail towards Fuchsia City before they stumble over something that's gonna cause them to get sidetracked!"

The gang continues walking and minding their own business until they stumble upon a bridge over a cliff with water below it.

"A bridge?" Jessie questioned.

"Of course, it's a bridge! Quit questioning the obvious." Meowth says.

Jessie turns her attention to her Pokemon with a glare. "Shut it…"

"Uhh guys, look…" Domino starts pointing out something that's blocking the bridge's path on the other side.

Jessie, James, and Meowth all look to see a huge, bipedal, dark blue-green Pokémon with a cream-colored face, belly, and feet. Jessie immediately pulls out her Pokédex for information.

"Snorlax, the Sleeping Pokémon. A normal type. Very lazy. This Pokémon just eats and sleeps. As its rotund bulk builds, it becomes steadily more slothful."

"A Snorlax huh?" Jessie says, sounding interested.

"That Snorlax is blocking the other side of the bridge! We can't cross it!" James pointed out.

"Well this is too easy, we just send out a Pokémon that can just fly us over the cliff," Meowth suggested. "Anyone got a Pokémon that can fly."

"Neither Starmie, Clefairy, Bulbasaur, and Goldeen can fly. Sorry." Domino says.

James starts to think. "Let's see here… Koffing can float, but can't carry us over the cliff because of our weight. Pikachu can't fly, and neither can Charmander and Slowbro. Glastly can float, but he doesn't like sunlight and obviously can't carry us. Sorry, I can't do anything. What about you, Jessie?"

"Well, Meowth definitely can't fly, and neither can Nidoran, Squirtle, Electabuzz, and Ponyta. Pidgeotto can fly, but I don't think they can carry a human across…" Jessie answered.

The gang all look at each other with their eyes widened. "Uh oh…"

The title screen shows.

"Move Along, Snorlax!"

It cuts to show the gang walking on the bridge to get a closer look at the Snorlax at the end of it.

"So… what are we going to do?" Meowth asked.

"Maybe you can yell at it to wake it up, Meowth?" Jessie answered with a suggestion.

Meowth raises an eyebrow. "Why do I have to yell at it?"

"Because Pokémon to Pokémon talk?" James answered while not sure.

"I guess?" Meowth clears his throat. "If I get a sore throat, I'm blaming you, Jessie."

Jessie rolls her eyes. "Just yell at it already!"

Meowth gets ready to yell. "WAKE UP, YOU'RE BLOCKING THE EXIT!"

It seems like Snorlax didn't hear Meowth yell at all and continues sleeping and snoring.

Meowth starts coughing. "All that yelling for nothing!"

Domino gets an idea. "Hey, why don't you just use a Poké Ball, Jessie when Snorlax goes in, we could just quickly run before the Poké Ball breaks."

"Right! That's the first thing we should've done! And if it doesn't break out, you get a Snorlax. Win-win situation." James says.

"Alright!" Jessie pulls out an empty Poké Ball and throws it at the Snorlax.

Unfortunately for Jessie, the Poké Ball bounces off the gut of Snorlax and whacks Jessie in the face as she falls.

"JESSIE!" James and Domino immediately pull her back up.

"What gives?! Why didn't Snorlax go in the Poké Ball?!" Jessie immediately grabs her Pokédex off the ground for answers.

"Snorlax is the only Pokémon that trainers can only attempt a capture when it's fully awake. You can-"

Jessie groans, interrupting Dexter in the process. "Just great…" She puts her Pokédex back in her purse.

"So now we have to wake up, Snorlax, I assume," Domino says.

"Let's just try to push it out of the way," James suggested.

It cuts to the gang trying to push Snorlax out of the way with their arms, but it's no good as Snorlax is just way too heavy and it's not moving one muscle. The gang all give up and catch their breath for a little bit.

"This isn't going to work…" Jessie says.

"Any more bright ideas then?" Domino asked, looking annoyed.

"Let's just find a different way to Fuchsia City. There's no way this Route is the only way there. Jimmy, look at the map!" Meowth commanded.

James gets out his map and takes off his shades to look at it. "Well, technically Meowth is right. There is another way to Fuchsia City."

Meowth feels confident as he crosses his arms, closes his eyes, and smirks. "Told ya!"

"But it will require us to backtrack from the beginning of Celadon City to do so." James finishes.

Meowth falls in disbelief and then quickly gets back up. "Yeah, we have to wake this Snorlax up!"

"Where does the river below head into anyway?" James asked.

"I believe it flows into the ocean near Vermilion City," Domino answered.

Jessie starts to think of ways to wake up Snorlax. "Didn't Dexter say Snorlax sleeps but also eats too? Why don't we gather some food and maybe that could wake it up?"

"I'm willing to try anything at this point," Meowth admitted.

Domino nods. "Okay, let's gather some food then."

The gang all split up in each direction in the forest to gather as much food as they can and lay them out on the ground for Snorlax to wake up and eat, but unfortunately for the gang, that doesn't happen.

"Come on, wake up!" Jessie picks up an apple in the food pile and throws it at Snorlax from the other side of the bridge.

The apple hits and bounces off of Snorlax and then falls into the river below, making a splash. That didn't bother Snorlax one bit and the Pokémon continued sleeping.

Domino looks impressed by the fact that Snorlax is still sleeping after getting hit by an apple. "Wow… I bet Snorlax can even sleep through an Earthquake."

"Well if Snorlax isn't going to eat this grub…" Meowth grins and jumps onto the pile of food. "Don't mind if I do!" He starts eating it.

"Maybe we should look around for help?" Domino suggested. "Possibly head back to Lavender Town?"

"Domino, you know how much I hate backtracking!" Jessie pouted.

"Well Jessie, it might be the best option!" Domino fired back.

All of a sudden, the gang hears feminine familiar laughter from the distance as Team Rocket reveals themselves.

"Twerpette one and twerpette two arguing as always," Cassidy says with a grin.

"It's so hilarious no matter what they say!" Butch follows up.

Jessie groans in annoyance. "Them again…"

"To infect the world with devastation!"

"To blight all people in every nation!"

"To denounce the goodness of truth and love!"

"To extend our wrath to the stars above!"

"Cassidy!"

"And Butch, of course!"

"We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night!"

"Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!"

"I'm Mondo alright!"

"Alright, what do you three losers want now?" James asked, annoyed.

"What a terrific question to ask, sunglasses twerp. Why are we here, Butch?" Cassidy asked, still grinning.

"Well isn't that obvious? To steal that talking Meowth!" Butch answered.

"Like we always have been doing since the very beginning!" Mondo answered.

"Oh yeah?! You won't get me this time!" Meowth tries to run away, but all the food he ate immediately makes him exhausted and he falls in exhaustion. "Man…"

Jessie immediately gets an idea. "Hold on. Team Rocket, I'm willing to make a compromise with you."

"A compromise?!" Everyone said in shock at what Jessie just said, including her friends

Domino starts whispering in Jessie's ear. "Jessie, what are you doing?!"

"Just let me talk," Jessie whispers back and then turns to Team Rocket.

"A compromise, huh? So you're willing to actually give us your talking Meowth?" Cassidy questioned.

"Of course not! I will never let you three idiots have my Meowth." Jessie replied with an annoyed expression.

"Then it's an automatic no-deal then!" Butch responded.

"Yeah!" Mondo added.

Jessie just shrugs in response. "Okay, I guess you three don't want a strong Pokémon then."

This immediately grabs Team Rocket's attention.

"Strong Pokémon, you say! Now you got our attention!" Cassidy says.

"Well, do you see Snorlax on the other side of the bridge, blocking the path of the bridge?" Jessie points at the Pokémon. "If you can move it away from it so that we can cross, I'll let you keep it."

Team Rocket starts thinking about the offer. "Okay, group meeting!" They close in on each other for a huddle.

"Should we accept the offer?" Cassidy asked her partners-in-crime.

"And help those twerps?! Hello, we're the bad guys here!" Butch says.

Mondo joins in. "But we will get a Snorlax in return and we haven't given the boss a Pokémon for like a month! I'm desperate at this point."

Cassidy now looks concerned. "I think we have to help them. A Snorlax for the boss will definitely help us get promotions!"

Butch growls. "Fine, but I'm not liking it."

Team Rocket exits their huddle and directs toward the gang.

"Alright, we three have decided to accept your compromise," Cassidy announced.

The gang all high-fived each other in excitement.

Cassidy turns to Mondo. "Mondo, get the hot air balloon."

It cuts to Team Rocket's hot air balloon floating above the Snorlax with the Team Rocket trio in it. Grabbing cables come out from the bottom and extend down to the Pokémon.

"Alright twerps, just strap the cables to Snorlax's arms and legs!" Cassidy commanded from their balloon.

Jessie and her friends all nod. The gang begins strapping Snorlax's limbs with the cables.

"Okay, we're done!" Domino announced to Team Rocket.

Cassidy turns to Butch. "Okay, the twerps are ready. Turn up the burners."

Butch turns up the burners as Team Rocket's hot air balloon begins ascending more into the air. Unfortunately for the gang, the cables snap, sending Team Rocket blasting off.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Ding!

Jessie and her friends all groan in frustration and disappointment.

"Leave it to Team Rocket to screw everything up," Meowth says, expressing annoyance.

"The one time we actually wanted them to succeed," James added.

Jessie growls and then proceeds to throw another empty Poké Ball at the Snorlax. "Come on, just go in!"

The Poké Ball once more bounces off of Snorlax and back into Jessie's hands.

"Jessie, Snorlax is the Pokémon you can only catch when it's awake! Don't you remember that?!" Domino questioned.

"Yes, I do remember! I just want this dumb Snorlax to move out of the way so I can reach Fuchsia City!" Jessie responded by crossing her arms.

"Well, you're not going to catch it nor wake it up by chucking Poké Balls at it. We got to find a way to wake it up." James says.

"And how are we going to do that?" Meowth asked.

Domino gets an idea. "Oh! Let's sing a song to wake it up!"

"No! No! No! I am not singing a song!" Meowth objected.

"At this point, I'm willing to try any possible option here," Jessie says, agreeing to the idea.

James nods. "Same here for me too."

"But the song will be so bad and cringe!" Meowth says.

"That's the main point, Meowth," Domino revealed. "Bad singing will definitely wake something up, I know I will wake up to loud, obnoxious, and bad singing."

Meowth groans. "Fine, but if any other person hears us, I'm officially leaving you guys."

It cuts to the gang all getting ready to sing to wake Snorlax by coming up with the lyrics, beat, and everything.

"Okay, are we ready?" Domino asked the three.

Jessie, James, and Meowth all nod to signal that they're ready.

Domino clears her throat as she begins singing. "Oh Snorlax, would you please wake up for me? So that we can reach Fuchsia City!" She signals Jessie to continue.

Jessie continues the song. "Oh Snorlax, would you please wake up for us? So that we don't have to cuss!"

James also continues the song. "Please Snorlax, would you open your eyes? It wouldn't hurt if you try!" Then he signals Meowth to continue the song.

Meowth hesitates for a bit, before continuing to sing along. "Snorlax, just wake up so we can get through. Or I will use Fury Swipes on yooooooouuuuu!"

The gang finishes the song, but unfortunately, Snorlax is still asleep as the gang all fall in disbelief before getting back up.

"Great, I did all of that singing for nothing!" Meowth complains as he starts scratching its stomach repeatedly. "Wake up, you dumb Pokémon!

Snorlax continues sleeping without any signs of waking up at all.

Jessie sighs. "I can't believe I won't earn my fifth badge just because of some sleeping Pokémon that's impossible to wake up!"

"But there has to be a way to wake it up!" Domino begins thinking. "Wait, Dexter said Snorlax was a normal type, right? And since normal types are weak against fighting types, maybe we can use a fighting type to wake it up."

Jessie, James, and Meowth all perk up at Domino's idea.

"That's a great idea, Domino!" James praises.

Domino chuckles and rubs her head in embarrassment. "It's no problem."

"Although, does either one of us have a fighting type Pokémon?" James asked.

Jessie, James, and Domino both think of what Pokémon they have before sighing in frustration.

"Neither of us has one!" Jessie growls but then expresses happiness from getting an idea. "How about we use a fighting-type move instead?"

"Hey, that could work too!" Domino agreed.

Jessie pulls out a Poké Ball. "Squirtle, I choose you!" She sends out Squirtle.

"Squirtle!" The Pokémon cried out.

"Squirtle, use Submission on that Snorlax!" Jessie commanded.

Squirtle backs up for a little bit before it dashes toward the Snorlax. Squirtle tucks into its shell as it spins like a wheel, striking Snorlax with it. The Snorlax makes an unpleasant face from sleeping after being struck by the move.

"Hey! Snorlax's expression changed!" Domino pointed out.

Squirtle peeks back out from its shell with a happy expression.

"Great job, Squirtle!" Jessie praises her Pokémon with a smile.

Squirtle turns around to its trainer. "Squirtle!" The Pokémon cheerfully cries out.

However, a yellow-orange beam of energy hits Squirtle while it was turned around, which sent the Pokémon hitting a tree.

"SQUIRTLE!" Jessie called out.

The dust clears out to reveal that Squirtle has immediately fainted from the yellow-orange beam of energy.

"Shit!" Jessie immediately recalls Squirtle back into its Poké Ball.

"What the hell was that?" James questioned.

The gang turns their attention to the Snorlax with smoke coming from its mouth.

"I think that was a Hyper Beam move from Snorlax," Domino suggested.

"Now I have to find the nearest Pokémon Center," Jessie says, expressing annoyance.

"That Snorlax sure is strong…" Meowth admitted. "It took out Squirtle with one move!"

"Any other ideas?" James asked.

"How about we all just use all of our Pokémon at once?" Jessie suggested. "This has to wake Snorlax up or at least faint it!"

"Jessie, that could be extremely dangerous to go with that plan!" Domino says.

"I am willing to try anything just to get this Snorlax out of the way!" Jessie argued back.

Domino shakes her head no. "There has to be another way! Let's just make that a last-minute option!"

"Then what are we going to do to get this Snorlax to wake up?!" James says.

It cuts to the gang picking up and throwing rocks at the Snorlax, trying to wake it up, but Snorlax continues to sleep, not waking up at all.

"Starmie, use Water Gun and aim it at Snorlax's face!" Domino sends Starmie out of its Poké Ball.

"HYAH!" Starmie shoots out water and aims it directly toward Snorlax's face.

The water hits, but Snorlax still doesn't wake up and continues sleeping.

Domino sighs in disappointment. "Thank you, Starmie, it was worth a try." She recalls Starmie back in her Poké Ball.

Now it cuts to a montage of the gang trying to wake up Snorlax with many possibilities: Screaming out loud, using an air horn, bashing a pot with a wooden spoon that was in James' backpack to make loud noises, and maybe other possibilities to wake up Snorlax, but each attempt failed. The gang all catch their breath from exhaustion.

"That's it, we're gonna use every Pokémon now." Jessie pulls out her Poké Ball containing one of her Pokémon.

"NO!" Domino immediately stops Jessie. "I still have another plan!"

Meowth rolls her eyes. "Oh yeah? We tried everything!"

"Can't we just go with the last option?" James asked.

"Just trust me!" Domino pulls out one of her Poké Balls. "Clefairy, come on out!" She sends out Clefairy.

"Clefairy!" The Pokémon cried out.

"What's your plan with Clefairy?" Jessie asked.

Domino starts explaining her plan. "I'm going to ask Clefairy to use Metronome and I hope Clefairy will choose a fighting-type move. Snorlax's expression changed when Squirtle used Submission, another fighting-type move or two should wake it up!"

"Okay, what if the plan fails?" Meowth says.

"Then I guess we will go with the final option." Domino turns to Clefairy. "Okay Clefairy, use Metronome!"

Clefairy starts moving its fingers back and forth and repeating its name. "Clefairy! Clefairy! Clefairy!" Clefairy shoots multiple bubbles out at the Snorlax, but it doesn't do anything, not surprisingly.

Domino groans. "I hate the fact it's basically like a dice roll."

"I guess you just use Metronome again, Domino," James says.

Domino nods then turns to her Clefairy. "Use Metronome once more!"

Clefairy once more starts moving its fingers back and forth and repeating its name. "Clefairy! Clefairy! Clefairy!" The Pokémon starts slowly glowing white.

Jessie raises an eyebrow. "That's weird, Clefairy is evolving? But you didn't give them a Moon Stone, Domino."

Domino's eyes widened. "That's because they're not evolving… CLEFAIRY IS USING EXPLOSION!"

"EEP!" James shrieked.

"RUN!" Jessie and Meowth shouted.

The gang immediately starts running away from Clefairy to avoid the explosion. Clefairy uses Explosion, sending an extremely loud sound throughout the area that can be heard for miles. The gang slowly comes out of hiding after the move was used to see Clefairy has knocked itself out.

Domino frowns. "Thanks, Clefairy…" she recalls her Pokémon.

"Okay, now can we use the rest of your Pokémon?" Jessie asked, looking over at Domino.

Domino groans in annoyance. "Fine, I have no other options anyway."

The gang all pull out each and available of their Pokémon's Poké Ball. They were about to send all of them out when they heard a police siren nearby.

"Huh?" The gang says in confusion, giving their attention.

The gang looks to see someone riding a police motorcycle towards them and that someone is Officer Jenny, riding a motorcycle towards them.

James' eyes widened and started sweating nervously. "The cops might have caught up with me." He quietly says to himself.

"What was that, Jimmy?" Meowth asked, raising an eyebrow toward him.

"Nothing!" James secretly lied with a chuckle.

Officer Jenny finally arrives at the scene and parks her motorcycle. "I heard an explosion at this very location. What happened?!"

Domino starts explaining what happened to Officer Jenny. "Forgive us, Officer Jenny, but we were trying to wake up this Snorlax from slumber because it's blocking the path to the bridge that we need to get to Fuschia City. I sent out my Clefairy and had it use Metronome and ended up using Explosion."

Officer Jenny looks at the sleeping Snorlax blocking the bridge and then at the gang. "You know, it's illegal to disturb a Snorlax when it's sleeping-"

The gang immediately widened their eyes in shock and began apologizing to Officer Jenny. "I'M SO SORRY!" "PLEASE DON'T LOCK US UP!" "DON'T TELL MY MOM PLEASE!" "WE DIDN'T KNOW!"

"EXCEPT-" Officer Jenny continued. "If the Snorlax is blocking a path where the trainer or trainers can't reach a certain location! So consider you all lucky!"

The gang all sighs in relief after Officer Jenny finishes her sentence and that they're not in trouble with the law.

"Officer Jenny, do you know how to wake up a Snorlax?" Jessie asked.

"Oh, that's easy to solve. You just need a Poké Flute!" Officer Jenny answered with a smile.

"A Poké Flute?" The gang all said, looking at each other weirdly.

Officer Jenny demonstrates the gang by pulling out a yellow recorder with a Poké Ball attached to it at the bottom. "This is a Poké Flute right here. You can wake up Snorlax with it and I believe it's the only way to wake up Snorlax. I thought everyone knew that."

Domino facepalms herself. "I completely forgot about that!"

"Wait, when did you get one, officer?" James asked.

"Every Officer in the Kanto region has one, just in case a Snorlax blocks something that we need to get access to. It comes in handy once in a while." Officer Jenny replied with a smile.

Jessie pulls out her Pokédex. "Why didn't you tell me about this?!"

"I was about to tell you earlier when I explained that trainers can only catch Snorlax when it's awake, but I was interrupted."

"Oh… sorry." Jessie puts her Pokédex away. She then turns to Officer Jenny. "May we borrow your Poké Flute, Officer Jenny? Pretty please."

Officer Jenny salutes. "Anything to help fellow trainers!" She happily gives Jessie the Poké Flute to borrow.

Jessie starts playing the Poké Flute, but the notes were extremely off-key and unpleasant to hear. James, Domino, Meowth, and Officer Jenny all covered their ears to prevent hearing Jessie's playing. Even Snorlax has a displeased look on its face while sleeping.

"MAKE IT STOP!" James shouted out.

Domino immediately takes the Poké Flute away from Jessie, stopping the terrible playing. James, Meowth, and Officer Jenny all sighed in relief as everyone uncovers their ears.

"That was terrible!" Domino scaled.

Jessie crosses her arms and pouts. "Well, I don't know how to play a Poké Flute!"

"James, can you hand me a cloth?" Domino asked.

James searches and pulls out a cloth in his backpack for Domino and gives it to her. Domino cleans the mouthpiece first of the Poké Flute before handing the cloth back to James and playing it for herself. Unlike Jessie, Domino plays it much better and she nails the notes. Snorlax slowly opens its eyes and faces the gang.

"It's up!" Meowth pointed out.

"Good luck to anyone who decides to battle it!" Officer Jenny says before taking her Poké Flute back and driving off the scene with her motorcycle.

The wild Snorlax perks up a big loud cry. "Snorlaaaax!"

Jessie quickly pulls out a Poké Ball. "Nidoran, I choose you!" She sends out her Nidoran to battle the wild Snorlax in front of her.

"Ran!" The Pokemon cried out.

"Be careful, Jessie! That's one tough Snorlax!" James warned.

Domino nods in agreement. "Yeah, be careful!"

"Double Kick!" Jessie commanded.

"Ran!" Nidoran jumps up and kicks Snorlax twice in the gut.

Snorlax stands still and doesn't react to the super-effective move at all, which sparks Jessie's confusion.

"Why didn't it react?!" Jessie asked in disbelief.

"Nidoran is too small to deal a lot of damage to a big Pokémon like Snorlax!" Domino answered.

Jessie's eyes widened. "Uh oh…"

"Snorlax!" The Pokémon jumps up high in the air

"What's it doing?" Jessie now asked in confusion.

Nidoran looks up and sees Snorlax falling directly toward her. "Ran!" The Pokémon cries out from wordiness.

"JESSIE, I THINK THAT'S A BODY SLAM!" James shouted.

"OH NO!" Jessie shrieked. "Nidoran, quickly dodge it!"

Nidoran quickly gets out of the way before the Snorlax could land on her.

"Fury Swipes!"

"Ran!" Nidoran tries to scratch Snorlax's gut over and over, but once more Snorlax doesn't look affected at all by the move.

"Jessie, Nidoran is too small! Switch out, quickly!" Domino commanded.

Jessie doesn't reply and grits her teeth in frustration.

"Snorlax!" The wild Pokémon opens its mouth as a yellow-orange beam comes out of its mouth and starts heading toward Nidoran.

"Shit, Hyper Beam!" Jessie warned. "Dodge it, Nidoran!"

Nidoran manages to dodge Snorlax's move once more as the Hyper Beam strikes a nearby tree, destroying it. Smoke comes out of Snorlax's mouth.

Jessie pulls out an empty Poké Ball from her purse. "Poké Ball, go!" She throws the Poké Ball right at Snorlax.

The Poké Ball hits Snorlax as the Pokémon goes in. The Poké Ball immediately breaks out, signaling a failed capture.

Jessie snaps her finger in frustration. "Dang it!"

Domino calls out to Jessie. "Jessie, you have to weaken a Pokémon first before capturing and you barely did any damage to that Snorlax!"

"I was testing my luck, thank you very much!" Jessie responded. "Nidoran, Bite!"

"Ran!" Nidoran jumps onto Snorlax's face by using its belly for a boost and bites its face.

"Snorlax!" Snorlax cries in pain from the move, taking some damage, and trying to get Nidoran off.

Jessie laughs. "There you go, Nidoran! Keep holding on!"

With Nidoran still hanging on with its bite, Snorlax runs to a nearby tree and headbutts it, causing Nidoran to take a lot of damage from holding onto its face, as the Pokémon drops to the ground. Snorlax also took damage from headbutting a tree.

Domino gasped. "That was Headbutt!"

"That sure took Nidoran off," James says.

"That's gotta hurt for both of them!" Meowth added.

"NIDORAN!" Jessie called out. "Are you alright?!"

Nidoran was still on the ground, showing no signs of getting up until a miracle happened. Nidoran did get up.

"Nidoran, you're got back up!" Jessie says in delight.

Nidoran starts taking deep breaths. "Ran… Ran… Ran…" Until she gives out one loud cry. "RAAAAAAAAN!" After the yell, Nidoran starts glowing white.

Jessie and her friends all immediately gasped in shock at what they were experiencing as they start finishing their sentences. "NO WAY-" "NIDORAN IS-" "EVOLVING!"

Meowth starts smiling and sheds a tear. "I knew you were gonna be special someday, bud."

Nidoran slowly starts changing appearance from evolving as the white light disappears, revealing Nidoran has fully evolved.

"Rina!" Jessie's newly evolved Pokémon cried out.

Jessie immediately pulls out her Pokédex from her purse.

"Nidorina, Poison Pin Pokémon. Evolved form of Nidoran, the female version. A poison type. The female's horn develops slowly. Prefers physical attacks such as clawing and biting."

Jessie clutches her fist. "Nidorina, Double Kick, let's go!"

Nidorina starts dashing towards Snorlax faster, jumps up, and kicks Snorlax right in the face.

"Snorlax!" The wild Pokémon cries in pain from the super-effective move. However, instead of attacking. The Snorlax just closes its eyes and starts sleeping.

"Oh no! Is it going back to sleep?!" Jessie asked in disbelief.

"No! That's just rest, Jessie! It puts Snorlax to sleep for a little bit, but Snorlax is fully healed!" Domino explained.

Jessie grits her teeth. "Drat! But we can still deal a lot of damage! Nidorina, Double Kick once more!"

"Rina!" Nidorina jumps up and kicks Snorlax once more right in the face. Snorlax takes major damage and remains sleeping.

"Double Kick again!"

Nidorina kicks the sleeping Snorlax twice once more and Snorlax takes damage once more, but this time Snorlax wakes up and immediately opens its mouth as a yellow-orange beam starts forming.

Jessie grits her teeth, seeing the Hyper Beam. "Nidorina, Double Kick Snorlax's chin quick!"

"Rina!" Nidorina immediately dashes toward Snorlax's chin and delivers a devious Double Kick right to it, interrupting and canceling the Hyper Beam Snorlax was about to use.

"Snorlax!" The wild Pokémon cried out before slowly falling to the ground in pain and exhaustion.

Jessie pulls an empty Poké Ball from her purse and winds up her throw. "Poké Ball… go!" She throws the Poké Ball toward Snorlax.

The Poké Ball strikes Snorlax, sending the Pokémon inside as the Poké Ball lands on the ground and starts wiggling. It wiggles three times, before clicking. Signaling a successful catch.

"Yes!" Jessie immediately goes over and grabs the Poké Ball containing the new Pokémon she caught. "I caught a Snorlax!" She poses in victory.

"Rina!" Nidorina poses with her trainer.

Domino, Meowth, and James all clap for Jessie on her new successful catch.

"Congrats Jessie!" Domino says.

"You earned it!" James added.

"Congrats on the new evolution too!" Meowth also added.

The Poké Ball in Jessie's hand glows white before getting transported to Professor Oak's lab.

Jessie goes over to hug her newly evolved Pokémon. "I'm so proud of you, Nidorina!"

"Rina!" Nidorina happily cries out.

"Oh! Now that Nidoran finally evolved into Nidorina-" Domino reaches into her backpack and takes out the Moon Stone she's been keeping ever since Clefairy gave it to her on Mt. Moon. "Do you want Nidorina to evolve into Nidoqueen right now?"

Jessie stares at the Moon Stone for a little bit before taking it and turning to Nidorina. "What do you say, Nidorina, do you want to evolve into Nidoqueen right now?"

Nidorina looks at the Moon Stone before shaking her head no. "Rina!" ("I want to become stronger before evolving again!")

"Nidorina says she wants to become stronger before evolving again!" Meowth translated.

Jessie nods in approval before putting the Moon Stone in her purse. "I respect your decision! Good job today, you really made me proud, now return." Jessie recalls Nidorina back in her Poké Ball.

"Now that the bridge is finally cleared, let's head back on the trail to Fuchsia City!" Domino says.

Jessie and her friends all crossed the bridge as they continued the path to Fuchsia City.

"So, who's the Gym Leader of Fuchsia City if I might ask?" Jessie's curiosity asked.

Domino thinks for a little bit. "I think the Gym Leader is Koga."

James' eyes widened from Koga being mentioned.

Jessie notices and looks at James. "You're okay, James?"

"Oh yeah, I'm totally okay. Mhm!" James nods.

"Well whoever this Koga guy is, we can take them, right Jess?" Meowth says with confidence and a grin.

Jessie smiles right back. "Damn right, Meowth!"

Domino frowns. "Don't get too confident now, guys."

"Let's hope I don't have to deal with another sleeping Snorlax ever again…" Jessie sighs in relief. "Because that was so stressful."

"Hey, you're Nidoran evolved, I would say all that struggle was worth it!" James says with a smile.

"Hey, you're right! Geez, I hope Professor Oak won't mind taking care of my Snorlax." Jessie chuckles.

It cuts all the way back to Professor Oak's lab in Pallet Town as a Poké Ball, from Jessie, transported here and resting in the transportation machine.

Professor Oak chuckles. "Another Pokémon caught by Jessie. I wonder what Pokémon she has caught this time!"

The Poké Ball opens up to reveal the Snorlax.

"Snorlax!" Snorlax begins sleeping right in the middle of the lab.

Professor Oak sighs. "Looks like I need to get the bulldozer…"
