The episode starts with the gang and Martin still riding on the boat, until Jessie spots Cinnabar Island in the distance.

"Is that Cinnabar Island ahead?" Jessie asked.

Martin nods in response. "Yep! We're coming up to Cinnabar Island!"

Meowth laughs. "About time we got here!"

Domino was smiling and staring at the island in delight. "Wow! The island is so beautiful!"

"I'm interested to see what it has stored with us!" James added, also smiling as well.

"Our heroes have finally arrived at the great Cinnabar Island! Jessie looks hyped up to challenge for her seventh Gym Badge pretty soon!"

It cuts to Martin parking his boat on the harbor as he and the gang get off of the boat and land on the harbor.

"Well, I'm heading to the Pokémon Lab, known as my home! You all can follow me there and I'll tell Professor Oak the truth." Martin starts walking off the harbor, and Jessie and her friends proceed to follow.

Oblivious with the gang and Martin, Jigglypuff jumps off from the boat and lands on the harbor. "Jigglypuff!" Then proceeds to walk off.

It cuts to the gang and Martin arriving at Pokémon Lab with Jessie and her friends staring at the building.

"Wow, this is the Pokémon Lab?" Jessie asked, staring at the building in delight.

Martin nods in response. "Yep. This is also the place where I programmed and made Polygon as well. I eat and sleep here because this is normally my home."

"Well, it's better than sleeping on the streets," Domino said while looking at the building.

"Let's go inside and look at the place," James says.

The title screen shows.

"LameBlaine."

It cuts to the gang and Martin inside the Cinnabar Island Pokémon Center as Professor Oak appears on the screen after accepting the call that Jessie made once they got inside.

"Greetings, Jessie! It's nice to know that you're calling so often now." Professor Oak says with a chuckle.

Jessie waves at the Professor. "Hey, professor! So I have some big news for you. One, I made it to Cinnabar Island!"

Professor Oak smiles in delight. "That's wonderful Jessie, although there's a surprise for you while you're there."

"There's a surprise for me?" Jessie asked.

Professor Oak nods in response. "So tell me what's the other big surprise, Jessie?"

"Oh right! So remember that someone hacked into the Pokédex a few days ago? Well me, Domino, and James have him right here!" Jessie says while moving out the way a little so that Martin can be seen on the screen.

"H-hey Professor Oak. My name's Martin." Martin introduces himself to Professor Oak and nervously waves at him.

Professor Oak stares at Martin and starts observing him. "Hmm… well I have to say, I'm interested, but why did you do it, Martin?"

"I just want to add my Pokémon I programmed into the Pokédex, that's all. I will happily show it to you if you want…" Martin sends out Porygon for Professor Oak to see.

Porygon materializes. "Porygon!"

Professor Oak stares at the Porygon in delight. "Wow! Martin, you created this?!"

Martin nods. "Yeah, I programmed it into existence. The only thing I changed in the Pokédex was adding my creation there. I didn't change any information on already-existing Pokémon. I just added Porygon to it."

"He gave us a free ride to Cinnabar Island, I'll say forgive him, professor," Jessie says.

Domino nods. "Yeah, he seems like a nice guy."

"I'll say you forgive and you forget," James added.

Meowth says something different. "It doesn't involve me so I don't care."

Professor Oak was looking at the Porygon from his screen, looking very impressed. "I have to say, Martin. The fact you managed to program something into existence, I am extremely impressed. I will happily keep Porygon right in the Pokédex, I'll just change the information to make the information true!"

Martin was smiling so much as he bowed to Professor Oak to say thanks. "Thank you! Thank you so much, Professor!"

Jessie smiles. "It's nice to see a happy ending to all of this. Professor Oak, I'll be heading over to the Cinnabar Gym now!"

Professor Oak nods. "Good luck, Jessie!"

Both Jessie and Professor Oak end their call as it cuts to Jessie and her friends walking on the streets of Cinnabar Island.

"I can't wait to meet the Cinnabar Gym Leader soon, I wonder what they're like?" Jessie asked while walking.

"Well, all Gym Leaders do come in all shapes and sizes after all," James responded.

"Whatever this Gym Leader is, me and Jess got this covered!" Meowth says, building confidence in himself.

"Don't get too cocky, that's the number one weakness for a trainer and a Pokémon," Domino says.

Jessie pumps her fist up and jumps in the air. "I can't wait to win my seventh badge!"

Domino expresses annoyance. "Like that…"

A familiar voice was heard from the gang, especially Jessie. "Well, look at what we have here!" It was Leaf, who revealed herself to Jessie and the gang. "Long time no see, Jessie."

"Leaf…" Jessie groans. "This is the big surprise Professor Oak was telling me about?" She starts glaring at her rival. "What do you want?"

"Oh nothing, just I want to say that finally you and your little friends got here. With the amount of time you took, I was assuming that you finally gave up and went home!" Leaf laughs.

"I'll have you know that I am taller than you and I'm still growing!" James replied to her with an angry tone.

"I will never give up! I've come this close to winning all required eight badges for the Kanto League Pokémon Tournament and I'm not giving up while I'm this far!" Jessie said with fire in her eyes.

"Look at you, gaining confidence like you always do. You never change at all, Jessie." Leaf crosses her arms and chuckles.

"I could say the same thing to you, Leaf. Still being a meanie as usual." Jessie also crosses her arms to copy Leaf.

Domino facepalms. "Why call her a meanie?" She says quietly to herself.

"Well you see, I already earned my Volcano Badge." Leaf pulls out her Badge case and shows her Volcano Badge. "I could head to the next Gym Location right now, but because you are so pathetic about getting left behind, I'll wait till you win the Badge and then I will set off. Now what do you say to me?" She smirks.

"I'll say, you made a great mistake doing that, because I'm going to win the Volcano Badge right now!" Jessie sprints off towards the Cinnabar Gym.

"Wait up, Jessie!" James starts sprinting off to follow Jessie as Domino and Meowth also follow.

Leaf chuckles. "Another win for Leaf by teasing her!"

It cuts to Jessie seeing the Cinnabar Gym, but she stops once she sees Officer Jenny and a person in a suit standing at the entrance of the Gym.

"What's this?" Jessie questioned, confused.

Domino, James, and Meowth catch up with her as they catch their breath from sprinting.

"I would appreciate it if you stop running like that unless I'm on your shoulder!" Meowth says.

"Guys, look." Jessie points at Officer Jenny and the person in the suit as her friends look where she is pointing.

"What's going on?" Domino also questioned as well.

"Let's find out what's happening then," James suggested, getting a nod reply from Jessie, Domino, and Meowth.

The gang starts walking towards Officer Jenny and the person in the suit as they look back at them.

"What are you kids doing here?" Officer Jenny asked.

"We're sorry Officer Jenny, but we're wondering what happened to the Cinnabar Gym, you can tell us?" Jessie asked.

Officer Jenny crosses her arms and frowns. "The Cinnabar Island Gym Leader, Blaine, hasn't been showing up to work today."

"WHAT?!" The gang all yelled out in shock.

The person in the suit closes their eyes. "Such disappointment indeed. I thought I'll never see the day, a Gym Leader walking out!"

"Excuse me sir, but who are you?" Domino asked the person in the suit.

The person in the suit opens his eyes and introduces himself. "Ah yes, I'm one of the Kanto League Tournament admins, Hefford. It's nice to meet you three."

"A Gym Leader walking out…" James starts thinking.

"Yeah, the last Gym Battle Blaine had was with a trainer who had a Lapras. After he lost the battle, Blaine suddenly disappeared and he left this note too. It contains a riddle." Officer Jenny hands the note to Jessie.

Jessie accepts it as the gang gathers around to read the note Jessie starts reading it out loud. "'No matter what, I will always be there to keep a roof over your head even if I'm abandoned. What am I?'"

Hefford lowers his head. "Unfortunately if Blaine doesn't come to this Gym until the clock strikes midnight, this Gym will be closed off until we get a new Gym Leader."

The gang immediately gasped in shock.

"WHAT?!" Jessie shrieked. "But I came all this far for a Gym Badge! I have to challenge the Gym Leader!"

"Can't you just get a substitute Gym Leader or something?" Domino asked.

James shakes his head. "That's not gonna work unless the Pokémon League knew Blaine was going to be away for a while from the Gym."

Hefford nods. "The kid with the sunglasses is right. Substitute Gym Leaders are only assigned if the official Gym Leader notifies the Pokémon League. Blaine unfortunately didn't."

Jessie turns to her friends. "Come on, we're going to find Blaine!"

The gang sprints off as it cuts to the gang on the streets of Cinnabar Island, looking around.

Jessie starts thinking about the riddle as she recites it. "'No matter what, I will always be there to keep a roof over your head even if I'm abandoned. What am I?' Is it… a best friend?"

Domino shakes her head. "No, you wouldn't abandon a best friend, right?"

"Depends on the situation," Meowth says.

Jessie yells at Domino, being angry about this situation. "Okay, how about you try to figure it out, Domino!"

"Okay, okay, geez!" Domino now starts thinking about the riddle. "Hmm… this could be it. An abandoned building!"

"Hmm, buildings can always keep a roof over your head and they can be abandoned. Yeah, I think that's it, Domino!" James says with a smile.

Domino rubs her head embarrassedly with a chuckle. "People do say I am good at riddles."

After minutes of walking, it cuts to the gang arriving at what looks like a decrepit, burned-down, and abandoned mansion as it looks pretty beaten up.

"This mansion looks pretty abandoned, it also looks like it was burnt down," Jessie stated, observing the mansion.

"Or maybe the owners are just too lazy to fix repairs." Meowth chuckles.

Domino turns around and notices how far they are from Cinnabar Island. "Look how far we are from the main square of Cinnabar Island. No wonder this place was abandoned, you're away from almost everything."

James notices a mailbox with the mansion's name and points it out. "'Pokémon Mansion.' So that's what this place is called."

Meowth sarcastically claps. "Bravo, what a creative name!"

"Enough talking! Let's head inside and find Blaine!" Jessie starts walking to the burned-down mansion as Meowth, Domino, and James follow her.

Once the double doors of the mansion open, the gang completely sees the rubble inside the burned-down mansion.

"Geez, what happened to this mansion?" Domino asked.

"I believe it was a great place to live in before it got burnt down," James says.

"You get a nice place to live in and then it burns down to the ground." Meowth shakes his head. "That's some terrible luck there."

"It would make sense for Blaine to hide here," Jessie says as she and her friends step inside the mansion.

As the double doors of the burned-down mansion close, the gang shrieks as they can only see nothing but the pitch-blackness of the mansion.

"Guys, I can't see anything!" Domino yelled out.

Meowth starts looking for his trainer while panicking. "Jessie, where are you so I can hop onto your shoulder?!"

"Don't worry, I got it under control!" Jessie pulls out a Poké Ball. "Rapidash, light the way!" She sends Rapidash out.

Rapidash materializes. "Neigh!" The Pokémon immediately lights up its surrounding area from its flames.

"Oh! Thank you, Jess, because that reminds me!" James also pulls out a Poké Ball as well. "Charmeleon, I need your assistance!" He sends out Charmeleon.

Charmeleon materializes. "Charmeleon!" The Pokémon lights up more of the area with its flame, but not as much as Rapidash.

The gang all run towards where Rapidash and Charmeleon are for light as they all smile in glee.

"Thank goodness for light and thank goodness for Rapidash and Charmeleon!" Domino said, cheerfully.

"Yeah!" Jessie, James, and Meowth all say together to agree with Domino's statement as Rapidash and Charmeleon happily look at each other from receiving praise.

It cuts to the gang now walking through the hallway of the Pokémon Mansion with their fire Pokémon giving them light. They stopped at the door and slowly opened it.

"Blaine?" Jessie called out as she and her friends peeked through the room.

The gang's eyes widened when they saw a bunch of Muk and Grimer in the room, staring at them. "Muk!" "Grimer!" They don't look happy fool being disturbed

Jessie slowly closes the door and then looks at her friends. "RUN!"

Jessie, the gang, and their Pokémon immediately start running down the hall in shock as the Grimer and Muk bust down the door and start following the gang.

Domino spots some stairs to the next floor that they're running towards. "Get to the stairs!"

The gang and their Pokémon run to and then up the stairs quickly. The Grimer and Muk look on as they give up chasing them and go back to the room they were in before. Everyone catches their breath.

"That was a close one," James says while taking deep breaths in between words.

"That room also smelled awful too! Yuck!" Meowth says while gagging in disgust.

"This building is huge, who knows where Blaine is? Besides, was he even telling the truth?" Jessie asked.

An unknown voice was heard, getting the gang's attention. "Oh, it's true, alright." A bald person with gray hair on his sides and brown eyes, with a Magmar as light, walks towards the gang. "Because that person is me," Blaine reveals himself to the gang. "I thought I heard screaming downstairs."

"So there you are!" Jessie grits her teeth at the Gym Leader. "Why did you abandon the Gym?!"

Blaine looks down and closes his eyes. "A Pokémon trainer like you wouldn't understand."

Rapidash starts staring angrily at Blaine's Magmar. The Pokémon immediately grew hatred of it. "Neigh…"

Magmar stares back at Rapidash with a glare of its own. "Magmar…"

"What do you mean?" Domino asked with a raised eyebrow. "Don't you know your responsibilities as a Gym Leader?! You're about to lose your Gym Leader's license!"

"So what." Blaine shrugs it off. "Pokémon battles are not fun anymore like they used to be. What's the point of even battling if the trainer only cares about winning more than their Pokémon." He turns around. "Now if you excuse me, I'm going back to my room to isolate myself." Blaine walks back to the room he was in and his Magmar follows him.

The gang all look at each other expressing worriedness, except for Meowth.

Meowth shakes his head. "If he doesn't wanna battle, then just let him lose his Gym Leader status. I don't care!"

"No! I came all this way for a Gym battle and to win my seventh Gym Badge, I'm not going to have my time wasted by the Gym being closed!" Jessie walks towards the room where Blaine is, her friends and their Pokémon follow as they open the door.

Blaine and his Magmar were staring out in the window with their back turned. "What do you people want now?"

Jessie clutches her fist. "I challenge you to a Gym battle and as a Gym Leader, you have to accept it no matter what!"

Blaine laughs. "You think that's going to put me back to battling? Listen here kid, I'm done being Gym Leader, just wait for whoever they send to serve as the next Gym Leader."

Magmar turns around to look at Rapidash with a glare. "Magmar…"

Rapidash growls at Magmar with hatred in its eyes. "Neigh!"

Meowth notices this and immediately turns to Jessie. "Um, Jess, we should leave because these two don't like each other."

Jessie immediately turns her attention to Rapidash. "Rapidash, are you okay?"

Rapidash looks back and nods. "Neigh!"

Blaine saw how Jessie checked on her Pokémon with a side-eye before quickly turning back.

"Jessie, I think that we should leave before this we're here all day and it gets even more dark," Domino says.

Out of the corner of James' eyes, he spots a journal on the table. "What's this?" He walks towards the journal to have a clear look and picks it up.

Jessie groans. "Fine, but Blaine, you better look into my challenge and I hope you accept! Come on guys." Jessie, her friend Domino, and her Pokémon Meowth both turn around and start heading to the stairs, James is still staring at the journal that he picked up.

"Jimmy, are you coming?!" Meowth shouted.

This causes James to shriek. "Eep! I am!" He places the journal in his back pocket and hurries to catch up with his friends.

It cuts to the outside where Jessie, her friends, and their Pokémon are walking away from the Pokémon Mansion.

Jessie starts complaining. "This is just great, it took me like a week to get to Cinnabar Island and now the Gym is gonna get closed down because Blaine won't accept any challenges."

Domino pats Jessie's shoulder, trying to make her feel better. "Look on the positive side, we can have a nice relaxing day on Cinnabar Island. We can go to the beach and go swimming, build sand castles, all of that!"

Unfortunately, Jessie is still upset. "I didn't come here to relax, I came here to win a Gym Badge!"

"I'm just trying to make you feel better! Besides, the Gym will be shut down and all we can do is relax for a little bit before heading to the next city." Domino responded.

Jessie groans from Domino making a point. "I guess you're right, but I'm still not going to be happy about it!"

James was too busy looking inside the journal he grabbed in the Pokémon Mansion. "Hmm… interesting."

Meowth looks at James. "Whatcha got there, Jimmy?"

Jessie and Domino then look at James, noticing the journal as well. "Where did you get that?" Jessie asked.

"Inside the mansion, it's full of diary entries," James answered. "I'm going to read an entry." He cleared his throat and was about to read an entry from the journal.

All of a sudden, Meowth gets grabbed by a grabber from up in the sky. "HEY!"

"HUH?!" The gang shrieked before immediately looking up and seeing Team Rocket's balloon hearing familiar laughter. Meowth was being held by the grabber under the basket.

Cassidy starts up the motto. "Prepare for trouble!"

Butch then follows up. "Make it double!"

"To infect the world with devastation!"

"To blight all people within every nation!"

"To denounce the goodness of truth and love!"

"To extend our wrath to the stars above!"

"Cassidy!"

"And Butch of course!"

"We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night!"

"Surrender to us now you will surely lose the fight!"

Mondo finishes it off. "I'm Mondo, alright!"

"Team Rocket!" The gang shouted in frustration.

"The one and only!" Cassidy responded. "Thank you for donating one talking Meowth in the good name of Team Rocket!"

"We will be on our way now!" Butch says, waving goodbye at them.

"Sayonara, twerps!" Mondo added.

"Meowth, use Thunderbolt!" Jessie commanded.

Meowth starts spewing out electricity from its fur, but the grabber is not affected by it. "It's not working!"

"Oh yeah, did we forget to mention our grabber is electricity-proof?" Cassidy informed the gang with a laugh.

"After many years of getting electrocuted, what do you think we are, idiots?" Butch rhetorically says.

"Yes! Charmeleon, Flamethrower! Melt the metal on that thing holding onto Meowth!" James commanded.

"Charmeleon!" Charmeleon shoots out fire from its mouth and starts heading towards where Team Rocket is in the air.

Mondo quickly pulls out a Poké Ball. "Ditto, transform into Charmeleon and use Flamethrower too!" He sends Ditto out.

Ditto materializes and transforms into Charmeleon and shoots out a more powerful Flamethrower which completely overpowers the real Charmeleon's Flamethrower and the Pokémon dodges it by moving out of the way.

"Damn!" James cursed.

"Rapidash, you go for it and use Fire Blast!" Jessie commanded.

"Neigh!" Rapidash opens its mouth and shoots out flames in the shape of the kanji towards Team Rocket.

Mondo looks at his Ditto. "Ditto, transform!"

Ditto then transforms into Rapidash and uses a more powerful Fire Blast overpowering the actual Rapidash's move and then Rapidash moves out of the way in time.

Domino grits her teeth. "We can't do anything, they just keep using Ditto to counter our moves!"

Cassidy laughs. "It's over for you, twerps!"

"Meowth is finally ours for the taken!" Butch added with a laugh of his own.

"I feel like celebrating already!" Mondo says.

Unfortunately for Team Rocket, the balloon stops ascending upwards because of the weight from Ditto transforming into Rapidash.

Cassidy notices first. "Wait, why aren't we moving?!"

Butch turns to Mondo. "Mondo, recall Ditto or untransform it!"

"But what if they have Rapidash use another move on us!" Mondo countered.

"Well, we're not moving because of Ditto's weight now!" Cassidy argued back.

Team Rocket stops arguing once they hear an unknown voice. "Magmar, Fire Blast!"

A kanji-shaped flame pops a hole from Team Rocket's balloon, as it falls towards the ground, with the trio screaming, and crashing. Hitting the ground causes the grabber holding onto Meowth to break and is flung into Jessie's hands.

Jessie catches her Meowth. "Meowth!" Then hugs her Pokémon.

Meowth groans. "I think I'm gonna throw up…"

"Now who did that?!" Cassidy said, she and her two partners looked around and then saw Blaine standing there with his Magmar.

"Magmar, Mega Kick them away!" Blaine ordered once more.

"Magmar!" Magmar starts dashing towards Team Rocket.

"Ditto, transform into-" Mondo looks to see his Ditto fainted from the impact of the balloon crashing into the ground. "Oh…"

Magmar sends Team Rocket blasting off with a muscle-packed powerful kick.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Ding!

Blaine walks towards the gang to check up on them. "Are you three and your Meowth alright?"

The gang all nodded in response with smiles.

"Thank you for saving my Meowth, Blaine." Jessie bows for her thanks.

"You came at the right moment!" James puts the journal in his pocket and then recalls Charmeleon.

Blaine looks at Jessie. "I saw how much you cared about your Rapidash back there and also your Meowth from those crooks. You have earned my respect and approval. I will accept your Gym challenge."

Jessie gasped. "Really?! Awesome!"

It cuts to the battlefield of the Cinnabar Gym. Blaine and Jessie are standing opposites from each other on the battlefield with their Pokémon as Domino, James, and Meowth are watching from the sidelines.

"This Gym battle will be a simple one-on-one match, do you agree with those rules?" Blaine asked his challenger.

Jessie nods in agreement for a response. "I'm good with that!"

Blaine turns to Magmar. "My Pokémon will be my Magmar!"

"Magmar!" Magmar walks onto the battlefield, ready to fight.

Jessie turns to her Rapidash. "Then my Pokémon will be Rapidash!"

Rapidash walks onto the battlefield, staring down the Magmar with anger in its eyes. "Neigh…"

Domino notices this from the sidelines. "Rapidash looks very mad here…"

"Maybe the Rapidash is just so determined to win?" James guessed.

"Whatever it is, I don't care, I just want to witness a good battle!" Meowth says.

Blaine starts off the battle with the first move. "Magmar, use Fire Blast!"

Jessie quickly countered. "Rapidash, you use Fire Blast too!"

"Magmar!" "Neigh!" Both Magmar and Rapidash open their mouths and shoot out a flame shaped like a kanji right at each other. Both moves collide which causes smoke to surround the battlefield. Rapidash couldn't see anything from the smoke and was looking around for Magmar.

"Magmar, Mega Kick!" Blaine commanded.

From the shadows of the smoke, Magmar lands a kick with great power right at Rapidash as it gets flung back and cries in pain. "Neigh!" The smoke clears out from the battlefield.

"Rapidash!" Jessie called out.

Blaine smirks. "Unlike your Rapidash, my Magmar can easily move through smoke and knows where anything is!"

Rapidash slowly gets up, still ready to fight. "Neigh…"

Jessie commands her next move. "Okay, Rapidash hit it with a Take Down!"

"Dodge it!" Blaine quickly countered.

Rapidash starts charging at Magmar, but the spitfire Pokémon quickly moves out of the way to dodge as Rapidash forcefully stops in its tracks.

Blaine orders the next move. "Now use Fire Blast!"

"Magmar!" Magmar opens its mouth and sends a kanji flame right at Rapidash.

"Dodge it and use your Agility!" Jessie quickly countered.

Rapidash quickly moves out of the way to dodge the Fire Blast and then begins running around Magmar in circles with extreme speed, with Magmar getting confused from trying to see Rapidash.

Blaine looks confused as well. "Uhh… Mega Kick!"

Magmar tries to powerfully kick Rapidash but hits nothing but air.

Jessie clutches her fist. "Take Down!"

Rapidash stops running in circles to run charge at Magmar, strikes the Pokémon with a Take Down, and gets flung back as Magmar cries in pain. "Magmar!"

"Magmar!" Blaine calls out.

"This battle can go either way!" Domino says, getting interested in this battle.

Magmar slowly gets up and remains to fight. "Magmar!"

"But Magmar isn't going down that easy," James says.

Meowth chuckles to himself. "Magmar has such a goofy face!"

Blaine commands the next move. "Magmar, SmokeScreen!"

"Magmar!" Magmar opens its mouth and releases thick black smoke that surrounds the battlefield.

Jessie starts to get worried and begins to think to herself. "Magmar can easily move through smoke… then I got to keep Rapidash moving," Jessie yells out her next move. "Rapidash, keep moving through the smoke with your Agility!"

"Neigh!" Rapidash keeps moving through the smoke with its extreme speed. As the smoke clears the battlefield, Rapidash doesn't see Magmar at all. "Neigh?"

Jessie tries to warn Rapidash that Magmar is actually behind the Pokémon. "Rapidash, behind you quick!"

Blaine quickly commands the next move. "Mega Kick!"

Before Rapidash could react, Magmar sent a powerful kick right at the Pokémon. "Neigh!" Rapidash gets taken down to the ground.

Jessie shrieks. "No! Rapidash!"

Domino frowns. "I guess that's it for Rapidash…"

James nods. "Blaine's Magmar is very strong."

Meowth scoffs. "Oh please, I would take it down with my claws."

Blaine crosses his arms. "Well it was a nice battle, Jessie, I do see-" Blaine cuts off his sentence at what he was seeing on the battlefield. "What?"

Rapidash starts slowly getting up, somehow still ready to battle as the Pokémon starts breathing heavily.

Domino and James both gasped in shock seeing Rapidash still able to fight. "No way!" "Rapidash is still going!"

"Rapidash… you still want to go?" Jessie asked her fire horse Pokémon, feeling concerned.

Rapidash turns to its trainer with fire in its eyes and nods in response. "Neigh…"

Jessie smiles and nods. "Alright, use Agility!"

Rapidash starts moving in circles around Magmar once more, trying to confuse the spitfire Pokémon again.

Blaine grits his teeth. "Magmar, SmokeScreen!"

Magmar once more opens its mouth and releases a thick black smoke and it surrounds the battlefield. Jessie and Blaine both remain silent for the smoke to clear up as it does reveal Rapidash angrily on top of Magmar, trying to stomp its head, but Magmar moves its head to dodge it.

Blaine immediately commands Magmar as he is seen worried. "Magmar, throw Rapidash off of you now!"

"Magmar!" Magmar sends Rapidash flying in the air by punching it right in the fire horse Pokémon's gut.

"Neigh!" Rapidash cries out from getting sent flying in, but the Pokémon lands on its feet on the battlefield as Rapidash and Magmar both have a stare-down.

Jessie looks determined to finish the Gym battle. "Alright Rapidash, I know how much you want to end this. Let's do it and land that Horn Drill!"

Rapidash kicks its legs on the ground and says it cries from being determined. "Neigh…" then it starts rotating its horn on its head like a drill with a lot of speed and then starts dashing at Magmar with a battle cry. "NEIGH!"

Blaine looks the most worried and quickly counters with his move. "Magmar, you can't let that Horn Drill hit you. Use Confuse Ray!"

"Magmar!" Magmar's eyes glow red and it stares right down at Rapidash who is charging towards the spitfire Pokémon, but Rapidash becomes confused.

"Neigh!" Rapidash cries out from being confused and then the Pokémon turns its direction and starts heading toward the wall of the Gym with its Horn Drill from being confused.

"RAPIDASH, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Jessie screamed out.

James also screams out. "RAPIDASH IS HEADING TOWARDS THE WALL!"

Rapidash crashes into the wall of the Gym with its Horn Drill as everyone looks away from the impact. After a few seconds, everyone looks and sees Rapidash is stuck in the wall from its horn

"Neigh!" Rapidash is struggling, trying to get its horn out of the wall.

"RAPIDASH, GET OUT OF THE WALL!" Jessie ordered with a scream.

With all of its power, Rapidash gets out of the wall, unfortunately, some of the horn on top of Rapidash's head breaks off and is in the wall. This caused everyone, even Blaine, to gasp in shock as Rapidash immediately fell to the ground and fainted.

"RAPIDASH!" Jessie immediately runs towards her Pokémon, even Domino, James, and Meowth as well.

It cuts to the Cinnabar Pokémon Center with the gang sitting in the waiting room and waiting for Nurse Joy to come out and tell them the news.

The door opens and the gang immediately perks up to see Nurse Joy and she tells them Rapidash's status.

Nurse Joy smiles. "Rapidash is going to be okay. I attached the broken part of its horn back with the most powerful glue we have and then wrapped it around with duct tape."

The gang all smile, especially Jessie, all smile in delight. Jessie runs up to Nurse Joy shedding a few tears.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much!" Jessie bows her head to Nurse Joy a lot of times.

Nurse Joy nods. "You all may see Rapidash now."

Jessie was the first one to enter the recovery room as her friends and Nurse Joy followed after. Rapidash was awake and lying there on its bed with its horn back on its head now duct-taped. The fire horse Pokémon was looking disappointed in itself.

"Hey Rapidash, I'm so happy you're okay!" Jessie says with a smile.

However, Rapidash doesn't change expressions and still looks disappointed. "Neigh…"

"What's wrong with Rapidash?" Domino asked, looking at James for an answer.

"I guess Rapidash is very disappointed in itself for losing to Blaine's Magmar," James answered.

This causes Jessie to be confused and looks at James. "Wait what? I know Rapidash lost to different Pokémon before when they were Ponyta, but Rapidash never felt this bad from losing to them at all. So why Blaine's Magmar, specifically?"

"Whatever the answer is, something about losing to Magmar crushed Rapidash's confidence," Domino says, with a frown.

"See? I told you, I would-" Meowth stops himself from seeing Domino and James glaring at him and keeps his mouth shut.

Nurse Joy gives the update on Jessie's Rapidash. "It's best to let Rapidash rest here for a few days so that the glue can dry, even when it dries, don't remove the duct tape until a couple of days after, to make sure the part of its horn stays on."

Jessie and her friends nod in response.

"Thank you again, Nurse Joy." Jessie bows to the nurse once more.

Nurse Joys smiles. "No problem, Jessie. It's my job after all." She opens the door and leaves the recovery room.

"Jessie came close to winning her seventh Gym Badge, but just fell a little short, but I know Jessie isn't giving up that easily. With determination in her eyes, to win it for Rapidash, Jessie's rematch will be here soon. Can the results be different this time? Find out as the journey continues!"
