Digging Your Own Grave

The episode starts with the gang and Team Rocket glaring at each other.

"So what are you three doing here?!" Jessie asked while growling.

"Say something or prepare for a battle!" Domino added.

Cassidy laughs. "'Prepare?' The only ones that should prepare are you, twerps, and that's trouble!"

Butch grins. "And you all can make it double!"

Meowth groans in annoyance. "Here we go again…"

"To infect the world with devastation!"

"To blight all people in every nation!"

"To denounce the goodness of truth and love!"

"To extend our wrath to the stars above!"

"Cassidy!"

"And Butch, of course!"

"We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night!"

"Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!"

"I'm Mondo alright!"

Team Rocket looks on to see the gang has fallen asleep during their motto and is snoring.

"WAKE UP, YOU TWERPS!" Cassidy screamed out.

Cassidy's scream causes the gang to immediately yell and wake up.

"Alright, that's enough!" Jessie pulls out a Poké Ball. "This means war!"

Domino also pulls out a Poké Ball. "Yeah!"

The Team Rocket trio also pulls out a Poké Ball as well. Jessie and Domino have an intense stare-down with Team Rocket until James gets in the middle of it.

"Okay, let's not fight right now and try to figure out where Sabrina teleported us!" James suggested.

Jessie soon stops glaring and puts her Poké Ball back into her purse. "Fine, I guess you're right."

Domino soon follows after putting her Poké Ball away. "Okay." She grumbles.

The Team Rocket trio all looked at each other before they all nodded and put their Poké Balls away. The title screen shows.

"Digging Your Own Grave."

"Okay, so where the fuck are we?" Butch asked.

"That's what I'm trying to figure out!" James responded and continued looking around. He spots some houses in the distance. "Okay, so I think we're in a town because I spot some houses, but not a lot."

Domino starts shivering in fear. "I don't know if it's just me, but something about this town gives me the creeps."

"Well, I prefer Sabrina teleporting us to some town than a maze where we could've gotten crushed to death," Jessie says, sarcastically.

"You know, this is all your fault, twerpette!" Cassidy points at Jessie.

"How is this my fault?!" Jessie asked, frustrated.

"Maybe if you were a great Pokémon trainer and not lost to Sabrina, we wouldn't be here!" Butch responded in a frustrated tone.

"Hold on! Why are you three even here with us?" Meowth asked in suspicion.

Domino nods. "Yeah! Sabrina said that she was gonna teleport 'everyone' in the room, which means you three were in the battlefield room as well!"

"So why were you three secretly watching my Gym Battle with Sabrina?!" Jessie questioned the trio.

Team Rocket simply turned their back on Jessie, Domino, and Meowth.

"None of your business, twerpette!" Cassidy responded.

"Yeah, so worry about your own business!" Mondo added.

Meanwhile, James spots a huge tower in the distance after looking very close.

"Whoa, I spotted a huge building, guys!" James pointed out.

Team Rocket and the rest of the gang all joined in to look at the huge building.

"Should we get a closer look?" Jessie asked.

"My curiosity is speaking, so I say yes," Mondo answered.

The gang and Team Rocket both head to the building that James spotted. It cuts to the top floor of the building where we see two familiar people. A male with turquoise hair, and blue eyes, wearing a uniform with the letter Z on it, and a female with red hair, and brown eyes, and wearing the letter R on it.

"Zaid, are you sure the Pokémon Tower could be our hideout?" Rosie questioned.

Zaid nods in response. "Of course! This place is rarely visited and makes the perfect hideout for our organization."

"But this is a grave for deceased Pokémon, someone's bound to come in here," Rosie says.

"Don't worry, our grunts can take care of that." Zaid grins.

It cuts to a woman with blonde hair inside the Pokémon Tower with a bunch of flowers in her hand, walking through the tower, she was stopped by two people with uniforms on, showing the number zero.

"Where do you think you're going, miss?" One of the people said to the woman.

"I'm going to pay respects to my Krabby." The woman responded. "What do you think I was doing?"

"Sorry lady, but the Pokémon Tower now belongs to Team Zero!" One of the grunts says.

It cuts to Team Rocket and the gang walking toward the Pokémon Tower.

Domino shivers in fear. "Did we really have to be teleported to this place during the night? I have some bad feelings here."

"Domino, you're already scared of bugs, what could you possibly be scared of at this time? Buildings?" Meowth says rhetorically.

Domino growls. "Jessie!"

Jessie groans in annoyance. "Meowth, be quiet!"

James looks annoyed. "Guys, can we focus here?"

Cassidy turns her attention to her partners-in-crime and starts whispering. "Wow, they fight just like we do."

Butch nods. "Never thought we all had something in common with the twerps." He whispers back.

Mondo shrugs. "Life is filled with surprises."

Jessie realizes something. "Hey James, why don't you pull out your map and try to find out where we are by that building?"

"I don't think the building is on the map, so I can't really identify our location with it, sorry," James responded.

Jessie frowns. "Just great."

As the gang and Team Rocket start getting closer and closer to Pokémon Tower, they start hearing someone crying in the distance. Which got everyone's attention.

"Is that someone crying?" Domino asked.

"It sounds like a female crying," Mondo confirmed.

Everyone started running towards wherever the crying was coming from and after a few seconds of running, they came across the same blonde-haired woman from earlier, on the ground crying her eyes out. Jessie was about to step forward to ask what was wrong, but Domino stopped her.

"Are you crazy? This could be a trap, that could be a g-ghost just ready to scare you!" Domino says, shivering.

Jessie rolls her eyes. "Stop being ridiculous, Domino." She walks up to the crying blonde woman. "Hey, what's wrong?"

The blonde woman sniffles. "I-I came to the Pokémon Tower to pay respects to my Krabby who I miss so much, but I was kicked out by these people with the number zero on their uniform."

"WHAT?!" Everyone was shocked.

"P-Pokémon Tower?" Mondo gulps.

The blonde woman nods and sniffles once more. "It's true."

Jessie turns her attention to the gang and Team Rocket. "We gotta do something now!"

The gang nods in response.

"How could anyone do this? What monsters!" Domino growls.

Cassidy whispers to her partner-in-crimes once more. "This doesn't look like Team Rocket's doing."

"I haven't heard anything from one of our members or a word from the boss about taking over Pokémon Tower. That is suspicious." Butch whispers back.

"Are you three going to help us?" Jessie asked Team Rocket.

Cassidy and Butch look at each other then look back at Jessie with a nod.

"Alright, we will call a truce," Cassidy says.

"You guys can go. I'll stay here." Mondo looks down in sadness.

Everyone turns their attention to Mondo after what he just said.

"Mondo, what are you talking about?" Butch asked.

"Yeah, what's up?" James added.

"Well… I think I shouldn't go in, because of-"

Mondo gets cut off after Cubone lets itself out of its Poké Ball.

"Cubone…" Mondo finishes his sentence.

Cubone immediately recognizes the building as Pokémon Tower and sheds a tear. "Cubone…"

Mondo picks up Cubone and hugs the crying Pokémon. "I know, Cubone, I know."

The gang all look at each other, expressing sadness for a bit before looking back.

"Why is Cubone sad?" Jessie asked.

Mondo looks down at the Cubone that he's currently hugging. "Is it okay if I can tell them, Cubone?"

Cubone thinks about it a little bit before nodding. "Cubone."

Mondo starts explaining. "This is the place where Cubone's mother is buried."

"I already heard about this story before, but I'm cool about hearing it again," Meowth says.

Mondo starts telling the story. "This happened a year ago."

It cuts to a flashback with Mondo narrating.

"Cubone and their mother, a Marowak, are in the tall grass. They decided to go out for a walk since it was a nice day."

It shows Cubone and Marowak walking through the tall grass and communicating with each other.

"All of a sudden, two no-good thugs came out of nowhere."

Just like Mondo said, two thugs approached Cubone and Marowak in the grass.

"Look what we got here! A Cubone and a Marowak." One of the thugs grins.

The other thug also grins as well. "You always said you wanted a Marowak, huh?"

"Exactly!" The first thug throws an empty Poké Ball at Marowak.

"One of the thugs tried to catch Marowak, but Marowak refused to be captured."

Marowak swats the Poké Ball away with its bone.

The thug growls. "Okay, I guess I'll just settle for a Cubone and evolve it." They pull out another empty Poké Ball and throw it at the Cubone this time.

"Then they tried to capture Cubone, but Marowak stopped that too."

Marowak steps in front of Cubone and swats the Poké Ball away. "Marowak!" ("Leave us alone!")

"You are one annoying little pest are you, huh?" The thug reaches into their backpack and pulls out a crowbar.

"Then one of the thugs pulled out a crowbar and started walking towards Marowak and Cubone."

"We can do this the easy way or the hard way, your call?" The thug with the crowbar starts walking toward Marowak.

"Marowak!" The Pokémon throws its bone toward the thug with the crowbar in defense.

The thug gets hit and knocked down. "OW!" They quickly get back up. "YOU STUPID POKÉMON!" The thug goes in for a whack.

The Marowak quickly picks up its bone and collides it with the thug's crowbar. They quickly turn to Cubone, who was just standing there innocently. "Marowak, Marowak!" ("Run Cubone, run!")

Cubone quickly runs away from what is happening.

"Chase that Cubone! I'll take care of this Marowak!" The thug commanded their buddy.

"Cubone quickly ran out of there and thankfully they were too fast for the other thug that was chasing them. But as for Marowak… I'm afraid to say that they, unfortunately, killed them."

The flashback cuts to an alleyway on the streets with Cubone sitting there and crying.

"Cubone was crying in an alleyway, luckily I was able to hurt it."

It shows a flashback of Mondo walking on the streets, in regular clothing, before hearing Cubone crying. "Huh?" He looks and sees Cubone crying as he slowly approaches the Pokémon. "Hey, are you okay like one?"

Cubone looks up to see Mondo, sniffling, without a skull on its head.

"At that time, Cubone wasn't wearing a skull. So I saw how sad Cubone was."

Flashback Mondo frowns. "I can see you're not… I found this in the tall grass. It looked like the skull of a Marowak." He pulls out Marowak's skull and shows it to Cubone. "Here."

Cubone looks at the skull of their mother. The Pokémon slowly approaches Mondo and grabs the skull, before putting it on and starts bursting into more tears. "Cubone!"

Mondo picks up Cubone and hugs the Pokémon deeply, letting the Pokémon cry into its chest. It cuts to the present time.

"And that's how me and Cubone became pals." Mondo finishes his story.

"Now I feel bad blasting them off every time, but they tried to steal Meowth many times after all," Jessie said in her thoughts with a sad expression.

"Wow… I'm really shocked." Cassidy admitted.

"Damn Mondo, you almost made me cry." Butch was also admitted as well.

Mondo chuckles and hugs Cubone. "Sorry about that."

Domino turns to the blonde woman with a smile. "Don't worry, we're gonna stop these people who ever kicked you out of the Pokémon Tower."

The blonde woman looks at Domino and nods. "Please do, I miss my Krabby so much!"

It cuts to the gang and Team Rocket entering Pokémon Tower and walking. It was extremely dark and no one could see anything.

"James, can you send out Charmander for light?" Jessie asked.

"Actually… no, I can't." James chuckles in embarrassment.

"Why?" Domino asked.

"Well, I kinda don't want to use Charmander as the light for every situation when we're in a dark room. They will start to think their only purpose is light and I kinda don't want that to happen." James explained.

"Well, that's just dumb…" Meowth says.

"Then what are we going to do for light? I can barely see shit in this tower!" Butch accidentally runs into a headstone. "OW-"

Cassidy quickly covers Butch's mouth to shut him up. "You're gonna alert them that we're here! Keep your mouth shut!" She lets go of his mouth.

"I do have to agree with Butch's question. What do we do for light?" Mondo asked.

All of a sudden, Gastley lets itself out of its Poké Ball. "Perhaps I can help!"

Meowth groans. "Oh great, it's the other talking Pokémon that I completely forgot."

"Gastly, what are you doing out of your Poké Ball?!" James immediately asked.

"The Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town is my home! I used to hang out here all the time!" Gastly explained.

"So we're in Lavender Town?" Jessie questioned.

"Of course, you slow idiot!" Gastly insulted.

Jessie growls in frustration. "Shut up, you purple ball of gas!"

Team Rocket starts secretly chuckling to each other about what's currently happening.

Gastly noticed Team Rocket. "What are these good-for-nothing fools doing here?"

"HEY!" Team Rocket shouted.

"We have a truce with them, they want to help out whoever's throwing people out of the Pokémon Tower," Domino answered.

"Hmm… perhaps it's the Pokémon ghost," Gastly suggested.

"'Pokémon ghost?'" Everyone said in confusion.

"Isn't that basically you?" Meowth questioned.

Gastly shakes its head no. "I'm a ghost-type Pokémon, not a Pokémon ghost. Huge difference!"

Meowth has a confused expression. "What's the difference?"

"Yeah, it sounds the complete same!" Butch says with a confused look as well.

"Let me rephrase that. A Pokémon spirit!" Gastley says. "It's a Pokémon that's been dead in the past, but has risen back from the afterlife. I bet it's just to haunt these Pokémon Towers!"

"I still don't see the difference," Jessie says.

"You absolutely moron! There is a difference!" Gastly responded.

Domino starts to think. "I think I see it. Ghost-type Pokémon are their own Pokémon species as a whole, while a Pokémon ghost or Pokémon spirit, whatever, is not?"

"Bingo! The blonde gets it!" Gastly says.

"So what happens if you die and come back to life? Are you a ghost-type Pokémon ghost?" Cassidy asked.

Gastly groans. "No, because I can't die, you absolute moron! Ghost-type Pokémon can't die because we're already ghosts!"

"But then that would make you a Pokémon ghost then… right?" Mondo asked

"You know what, forget what I said. Point is, there's a Pokémon ghost that's been haunting these towers." Gastly said.

Domino starts to shiver in fear. "I-I hope it's friendly."

"So how could you help us again? That's the main reason why you let yourself out of your Poké Ball." James asked.

"Oh right! I can just turn into a candle, watch!" Gastly turns itself into a candle as the Pokémon lights up the current floor of the Pokémon Tower they're on.

"Wow, cool!" James turns to everyone. "Alright everyone, follow me and Gastly for light!" He starts guiding everyone as the gang and Team Rocket follow them.

Domino starts looking at the tombstones of many deceased Pokémon while walking and frowns. "I feel bad for the trainers seeing their Pokémon sadly pass away from their eyes."

"I-I can't imagine my little Rattata passing away like that. I hope it lives forever." Cassidy pulls out Rattata's Poké Ball and hugs it.

"The one thing that would definitely make me cry is if I see Mankey dying." Butch also pulls out her own Pokémon's Poké Ball, which is Mankey and hugs it.

Mondo looks down at Cubone, still holding the Pokémon in his arms. "We're gonna live life together to the fullest, Cubone!"

"Cubone looks at Mondo and smiles. "Cubone!"

Mondo hugs Cubone and the Pokémon hugs back. The gang was looking at seeing Team Rocket hugging their own Pokémon.

Jessie whispers to the gang. "Wow, for bad guys, they sure really care about their Pokémon."

James, Domino, and Meowth all nodded in response.

"I know, it's like they're completely new people," Domino whispered back.

Team Rocket looks at the gang with suspicious expressions.

"What are you guys talking about?" Cassidy asked.

"NOTHING!" The gang immediately responded.

"Just talking about who could be behind this." James lied.

"Oh… okay," Butch says.

Mondo notices some stairs. "Hey guys, I see stairs up ahead." He pointed out.

"They must be stairs heading to the next floor. Let's take them." Domino says.

James and Gastly led everyone else towards the stairs as they went up to the next floor. As the gang and everyone were walking, all of a sudden, a Pokémon appeared right in front of them."

"Haunter!" The Pokémon cried out, trying to scare them.

It worked Domino as she screams and hides behind Jessie and starts shivering in fear with her eyes closed. "I-is that the Pokémon gh-ghost?"

"No, you idiot! That's just a regular Haunter!" Gastly responded.

"A Haunter huh?" Jessie pulls out her Pokédex from her purse.

"Haunter, the gas Pokémon, a ghost and poison type. The evolved form of Gastley. Because of its ability to slip through block walls, it is said to be from another dimension."

"Interesting." Jessie puts her Pokédex away and then pulls out an empty Poké Ball. "I was always interested in catching a ghost-type Pokémon!"

Cassidy grins as she pulls out an empty Poké Ball as well. "Not if I catch it first, twerpette!"

Jessie shoots a glare at Cassidy. "Oh yeah?" Poké Ball, go!"

"Poké Ball, go!" Cassidy shouted.

Both Jessie and Cassidy throw their Poké Balls toward the wild Haunter. But Haunter quickly dodges them by disappearing and repairing them to a different spot.

"Ha Ha Ha Ha Haunter!" The Pokémon appears to be laughing at Cassidy and Jessie for their failed attempt.

Jessie growls. "Meowth use Scratch on Haunter!"

"Rattata, you use Hyper Fang!" Cassidy sends out Rattata.

Meowth's sharp claws glow white as he tries to scratch the wild Haunter, but Meowth's claws go through the Pokémon, not affecting it at all. Then Ratatta tries to bite the Haunter, only the Rattata to go through the Pokémon, once again not affecting Haunter.

Haunter laughs again. "Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!"

"What?! Why didn't Scratch work?!" Jessie said, confused.

"And why didn't Hyper Fang work?!" Cassidy stomps her foot in frustration.

"Normal-type moves are immune to ghost-types, you complete idiots!" Gastly said while still in candle form.

Jessie and Cassidy both look dumbfounded. "Oh." They both said.

The Haunter soon flees the scene by floating up and going through the ceiling of the floor.

"Aw, man! I really wanted that Haunter." Jessie frowns.

Cassidy rolls her eyes at what Jessie said. "Rattata, return." She recalls Rattata back in its Poké Ball.

"Now that we watched your two's clown show. Can we get going now?" Butch demanded.

"I see another stack of stairs." Domino pointed out. "Let's head up."

Everyone nods in agreement as they start heading towards the stairs. It cuts to the top of the Pokémon Tower where Zaid and Rosie are at. They seem to be discussing their next plan.

"Okay, we took over the Pokémon Tower. What's our next plan then?" Zaid asked.

Rosie starts thinking of a plan until she thinks of one. "I heard around these towers that a Pokémon soul is haunting these very towers that we're in right now. If we can capture and secure it, I bet a Pokémon's soul would make some good money."

Zaid nods in approval. "I like that plan. Then it's settled, but how do we make this Pokémon ghost appear?"

"I'm sure the security cameras that we set up around the tower will catch it, then we will just get our Team Zero members to go after it," Rosie explained. "Speaking of security cameras."

Zaid and Rosie both go over and check their security cameras and then they spot the gang and Team Rocket walking on the cameras.

"More intruders, just great." Zaid rolls his eyes.

Rosie notices something about the group and her eyes widen. "Wait a minute…" She looks closer and then once she realizes, she gasps.

"What is it, Rosie?" Zaid asked.

"These are the same annoying people that stopped our Cubone plans in the forest!" Rosie pointed out. "Look!"

Rosie backs away so that Zaid can look closer. As he does, he realizes as well.

"No way!" Zaid growls. "I thought we got away from those stupid foolish people! Send in the squad."

Rosie nods and pulls out a walkie-talkie to communicate with her members. "This Rosie, intruders are on the third floor of the Pokémon Tower and these intruders need to be dealt with, immediately!" She puts the walkie-talkie away.

It cuts back to the gang and Team Rocket walking, as they head upstairs to the fourth floor, as soon as they reach the fourth floor, they are stopped in their tracks as two individuals with the number zero on their uniform appear in front of them.

"Where do you think you're all going?" One of the Team Zero grunts asked the gang and Team Rocket.

"Who are you guys?!" James asked.

The Team Zero grunt grins. "We're members of a criminal organization known as Ruthless Zero, also known as Team Zero!"

"And you punks are trespassing on our property!" The other Team Zero grunt says.

"'Ruthless Zero?'" The gang and Team Rocket all said and looked at each other in confusion.

Until Mondo remembers and gasps. "These are the same people that tried to steal my Cubone!"

Then soon everyone remembers them now.

"But they have members now?!" Domino said in disbelief.

The two Team Zero grunts and pull out Poké Balls. "Nidorina, go!" "Go get them, Growlithe!" They sent out their Pokémon into battle.

Cassidy looks at the gang and Mondo. "Mondo, you go with the twerps. Me and Butch will take care of these guys."

Butch and Cassidy both pull out their own Poké Balls and both send out Rattata and Mankey.

Mondo eyes widened. "B-but-"

"Just go!" Butch demanded.

The gang and Mondo both head up to the fifth floor as Cassidy and Butch stay behind to fight the two Team Zero grunts with Rattata and Mankey. It cuts to the gang and Mondo with Cubone arrives on the fifth floor.

"C-Cassidy and Butch." Mondo looks down in sadness.

"Cubone…" Cubone tries to comfort Mondo.

Jessie looks at Mondo and smiles. "I'm sure they're alright."

"I have never seen them win a battle…" Meowth says quietly to himself.

All of a sudden, two more Team Zero grunts pop up in front of the gang and Mondo.

"Just great, more of them!" Domino said in annoyance.

"Flareon and Vaperon, let's go!" The two Team Zero grunts send out their Pokémon.

"Jessie, you take Mondo with you. I and Domino will take care of them." James says

Jessie nods as Meowth hops onto his trainer's shoulder, as Jessie and Mondo rush towards the stairs leaving James and Domino with the grunts. James battles them with Gastly and Domino sends out Clefairy to battle the grunts. It cuts to Jessie, Meowth, and Mondo with Cubone, arriving on the sixth floor.

"I bet I know who's the two idiots behind all of this," Jessie says while growling.

Mondo nods in agreement. "Right!"

"Come on, let's go!" Meowth commanded.

"Cubone!"

As Jessie and Mondo were about to rush towards the stairs, they were stopped by an unknown voice.

"Be gone, intruders. Leave this place!" It said,

"Wh-what was that?!" Jessie asked, afraid.

All of a sudden, an unknown purple spirit appears right in front of the stairs.

"Be gone intruders. Leave this place, now!" The purple spirit demanded.

Jessie pulls out her Pokédex, trying to identify it.

"Pokémon not found." Dexter unfortunately says.

"Dexter can't identify it. Meowth, Thunderbolt!" Jessie commanded.

Yellow sparks surround Meowth's body and he fires a bolt of yellow lightning from its body at the purple spirit, but the move goes through the spirit.

"Shucks!" Meowth says.

"Get out! Leave this place!" The purple spirit demanded once more.

"It's not… attacking us?" Mondo notices and then he gets an idea. "I think this will help!" He starts reaching into his pockets and pulls out a scope.

"What's that?" Jessie asked.

"It's a Silph Scope. I believe this scope can identify ghosts." Mondo explained.

"How did you get that anyway?" Meowth asked.

"Me, Cassidy, and Butch kinda secretly stole it from the hideout. We were planning on selling it soon, but I'm glad we haven't yet." Mondo chuckles in embarrassment.

"Just put them on!" Jessie demanded.

Mondo puts on the Silph Scope and looks at the purple spirit. Then he gasps in shock at what the scope identified.

"It's… Marowak, Cubone's mother." Mondo confirmed.

Both Jessie and Meowth also gasped in shock. "MAROWAK?!"

"Get out! You shouldn't be-" The ghost Marowak cuts her sentence off after seeing her son in Mondo's arms. "C-Cubone?"

"CUBONE!" Cubone wiggles out of Mondo's grasp and runs over to its ghostly mother and hugs her.

The ghost Marowak hugs her son back, Jessie, Mondo, and Meowth all smile at the moment, but it was soon interrupted after a huge vacuum sucks up the ghost Marowak away from Cubone.

"AH!" The ghost Pokémon screamed.

"WHAT?!" The three yelled out.

"CUBONE!"

Zaid and Rosie reveal themselves to the three with Zaid carrying a huge vacuum on his back as they're both laughing.

"Nice to see you, pest again!" Rosie says.

"But we will be taking this ghost Marowak with us!" Zaid added.

"You good for nothing, heartless criminals!" Jessie insulted the two.

"Let go of Marowak!" Mondo demanded.

"Cubone!" The Pokémon glares at the two.

"Let me out, let me out!" The ghost Marowak tries to break free of the vacuum, but no good.

Rosie smirks. "This vacuum is one hundred percent ghost-proof, which means no ghost can simply escape it!"

"Bye-bye, pest!" Zaid waves goodbye.

Ruthless Zero immediately dashes towards the stairs and heads to the seventh floor.

"After them!" Jessie starts following them towards the stairs with Meowth, Mondo, and Cubone following alongside her.

It cuts to Ruthless Zero reaching to the seventh floor from the Pokémon Tower which appears to be the final floor.

Rosie pulls out a Poké Ball. "I'll send out Electrode to use Explosion, creating a hole in the floor so we can escape!"

Zaid nods. "Good idea!"

"Electrode, Explosion!" Rosie sends out Electrode.

"Electrode!" The Pokémon glows white then it blows up, creating a massive hole in the top of the Pokémon Tower.

Rosie then recalls Electrode back. She then turns to Zaid. "Ready?"

Zaid nods. "Ready."

"STOP RIGHT THERE!" Jessie, Meowth, and Mondo all arrived on the seventh floor.

Rosie laughs. "You're too late, once our members apply the safety net at the bottom, we will be taking this ghost Marowak with us!"

Zaid looks at the bottom and doesn't see any of their members at the bottom with a safety net. "Um… Rosie, I don't see any safety net."

"WHAT?!" Rosie then looks down as well and also sees no safety net. "B-but how's that possible?!"

"It looks like all of your members got destroyed by a battle from our group!" Jessie pulls out a Poké Ball. "Okay, Kakuna-"

"CUUUUBBBBBOOOOOOONE!" Cubone interrupts Jessie by crying out loud then it starts to glow white.

Jessie, Meowth, and Mondo all expressed shock at seeing Cubone evolving. Then the glow white disappears, revealing Cubone has evolved into Marowak.

"Marowak!"

"C-Cubone, you evolved!" Mondo sheds a tear but then expresses anger. "Marowak, use Bonemerang!"

"Marowak!" Mondo's newly evolved Pokémon throws its bone right at the vacuum that Zaid has strapped on.

"Uh oh…" Rosie and Zaid said.

The vacuum then explodes, sending Rosie and Zaid through the hole they made earlier and blasting off, screaming while doing so.

After blasting Ruthless Zero off, Marowak runs over to its ghostly mother, now free, and hugs her. "Marowak!"

"Cubone… I'm so proud of you. Even if you have evolved, you will still always be my baby." The ghostly mother Marowak hugs her child back.

Jessie, Meowth, and Mondo all look on smiling seeing Marowak hugging its mother. The ghost Marowak starts ascending to the sky to the afterlife as Marowak waves goodbye to their mother and she waves goodbye back. It cuts outside where Team Zero grunts are exiting the Pokémon Tower while being handcuffed and guided by police officers to police vehicles. It then shows the gang with Officer Jenny.

Officer Jenny salutes the gang. "Thank you three for stopping a criminal organization from taking over Pokémon Tower!"

Jessie chuckles. "It was no problem, officer!"

"Yeah, we did everything that we could to help!" Domino added.

"I guess we're off on our way now," James says.

The gang all wave goodbye at Officer Jenny and she waves goodbye back at them as we see the gang walking away.

"Alright, so I'm assuming we're heading back to Saffron City?" Meowth questions.

"Actually… Maybe I'm not ready for Sabrina yet. With the punishments, what would happen if I lost to her the third time?" Jessie shivers in fear.

Domino's eyes widened. "Good point."

"Well let's see here." James pulls out a map and takes off his sunglasses. "The nearest city, other than Saffron, from Lavender Town with a Gym is Fuchsia City. We just got to head south from here."

"Alright! To Fuchsia City we go!" Jessie starts walking south with Meowth on her shoulder and Domino and James following her.

Domino frowns a little. "You know, I kinda wish Team Rocket was here so I can thank them for helping us."

"I guess the only way Team Rocket will be on the winning side is by teaming with us!" James joked.

James, including Jessie, Meowth, and Domino all laugh at the joke. All of a sudden, the wild Haunter from earlier appears behind the gang from a long distance.

"Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!" The Haunter starts following the gang by floating in the direction they're going while keeping its distance, to not get spotted.

It cuts to where Team Rocket is currently at.

"No fair, why does your Pokémon get to evolve first?!" Cassidy asked in disbelief.

"You're so damn lucky!" Butch growls.

"It's because I give my Pokémon more love than you two buffoons! Isn't that right, Marowak?" Mondo hugs his newly evolved Pokémon.

Marowak smiles. "Marowak!"

Cassidy and Butch both look at each other with annoyed expressions on their faces.
