As Gold as Stone

"Our heroes are still reaching the path to Vermilion City, but they're gonna come across something really amazing."

The gang comes across a golden bridge with so many trainers in line for something as their jaws drop in amazement.

Jessie looks at the golden bridge. "Whoa, check out this bridge!"

"It's amazing!" Domino added in.

"Is that real gold?!" Meowth asked in amazement.

"Look at all the trainers lining up." James pointed out. "I wonder what's the occasion?"

A black-haired male with a suit and tie approaches the gang. "They're all signing up for the Nugget Tournament!"

Jessie raises an eyebrow. "'Nugget tournament'? What kind of a tournament is that?"

The man starts to explain. "Many trainers that signed up will compete in the tournament. They will battle with their Pokémon on the Nugget Bridge. That's the name of the bridge."

"'Nugget Bridge'? I'll do you one better, call it the Golden Bridge. Now that's a better name!"

Jessie shushes Meowth. "Be quiet!"

"The winner of the tournament will receive a golden trophy shaped like a golden nugget called the 'Nugget Trophy' and also a mysterious Pokémon that they can have on their team!" The man pulls out the Nugget Trophy and a Poké Ball and shows them to the gang.

The gang immediately started staring in amazement, but Jessie is mostly focused on the Poké Ball.

"A new Pokémon? Now that's something I will definitely battle for!" Jessie says.

Domino starts daydreaming about water Pokémon. "Water-types are a common Pokémon type and this mysterious Pokémon could be a water type!"

James is more focused on the trophy as he has eyes shaped like dollar signs. "I bet that trophy is worth millions!"

Meowth realizes something. "Wait, so if you have the trophy and the Poké Ball in your hands, does that mean your-"

The man cuts Meowth's sentence off to reveal himself. "Yep, I am the host of the Nugget Tournament."

The gang gasps in shock after the host reveals himself.

"We should definitely sign up everyone!" Jessie suggested.

Domino nods. "Yeah, I want a brand new water-type Pokémon on my team!"

"And I want that golden Nugget Trophy that's worth millions!" James added.

Jessie pumps her fist in the air. "Let's sign up!"

The title screen shows.

"As Gold as Stone!"

It cuts to the Team Rocket trio who are secretly spying on the gang from afar.

Cassidy looks excited. "Did you see that trophy? It's so golden, it's definitely worth so much."

Butch nods in agreement. "We'll be rich in no time if we can get our hands on that trophy!"

Mondo is more interested in the Poké Ball. "I'm more focused on the mysterious Pokémon that the winner of the tournament will receive! It could be any Pokémon, it could actually help us steal that Meowth and spark plug!"

Cassidy smirks in confidence. "Too bad that I'm gonna win the tournament."

Butch laughed. "With your one Rattata? Yeah right."

"Um excuse me, Botch, but you only have one Pokémon as well." Mondo pointed out.

"THE NAME IS BUTCH!" Butch yelled, then he realized Mondo was right. "Oh, you're right. But you only have one Pokémon as well!"

"We have to get closer to get more information about this tournament!" Cassidy says as her partners-in-crime nod in agreement.

The scene cuts to the gang who are currently waiting in line to sign up for the Nugget Tournament.

"Geez, this line sure takes a long time to move," Meowth says, annoyed.

The female stranger with brown hair who is right in front of the gang looks behind her to face them. "Yeah, the line can get a little long. It's mostly because of people choosing what one Pokémon they want to use during the tournament."

The gang all look at each other in confusion.

"'One Pokémon?'" Jessie questioned.

"Oh, you don't know? You're only allowed to use one Pokémon only through the entire tournament."

The gang expressed total shock. "Only one Pokémon?!" They all said.

The brown-haired woman chuckles and nods. "It's better to tell you now than finding out later so that you don't hold up the line."

"Well thank you miss," Domino said.

James nods. "Yeah, thank you!"

The woman starts to introduce herself. "Oh, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Joanna! As you can see me waiting in line, I'm also gonna be competing in the tournament too. It's very nice to meet all of you."

The gang all start introducing themselves to Joanna.

"Nice to meet you too, I'm Jessie!"

"I'm Domino!"

"And I'm James!"

Joanna points out something from earlier. "Wait, you three sound different. Who was complaining about the line earlier?"

Meowth introduces himself as well. "That would be me, Meowth!"

Joanna gasps in shock about hearing Meowth speak the human language. "This Meowth can talk?!"

Jessie chuckles and rubs her head. "Yeah, my Meowth can talk."

Meowth rolls his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, I'm a special Pokémon."

Joanna looks at Meowth in amazement. "So, you're gonna use your talking Meowth in this tournament, huh?"

Meowth crosses his arms in confidence with a smirk. "I'm sure Jessie will choose me for this. I'm definitely her strongest Pokémon."

However, Jessie was frowning. "I don't know, Meowth. I kinda want to use a Pokémon that I haven't used that often, let them get the spotlight, you know?"

Meowth falls in disbelief then quickly gets back up. "Aw come on, Jess! Pretty please?"

Jessie crosses her arms and shakes her head. "Sorry Meowth, my mind's already made up."

Domino starts thinking of what Pokémon she wants to use. "I only have three options, so I will use my Clefairy!" She sends out her Clefairy.

"Clefairy!"

"I already know what Pokémon I decided on. Pikachu, I choose you!" James sends out Pikachu.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu makes a face at Meowth, knowing Meowth will not get picked. Meowth glares at the Pokémon.

Joanna smiles. "Such wonderful and adorable Pokémon!"

"What Pokémon are you going to use, Joanna?" Domino asked.

"Well, I have been thinking a lot about what Pokémon I should choose and I finally have decided. I'll be using my Dodrio!" Joanna sends out her Dodrio.

"Dodrio!"

James turns to Jessie. "Hey Jessie, what Pokémon are you gonna use in this tournament?"

Jessie smirks. "I'm not telling. Unlike you three, I'll be keeping the Pokémon I'm using a secret so that my first opponent won't have a clue of what Pokémon I'll be using."

"Okay, suit yourself then," James responded.

"Pretty smart strategy huh, Joanna?" Jessie turns to Joanna, but she appears to be gone and Jessie is front in line.

"Ma'am, you're holding up the line…" the receptionist said.

Jessie falls in disbelief.

The scene cuts to Team Rocket wearing disguises, pretending to read a newspaper but secretly eavesdropping on the conversation between the gang and Joanna.

Cassidy chuckles. "It looks like it's our lucky day, trainers can only use one Pokémon in the tournament."

Butch chuckles as well. "That trophy is as good as ours!"

"I could really use a new Pokémon to fight with us!" Mondo says.

Team Rocket, who are still in disguise, quickly get in line to sign up for the tournament, but as they immediately get in line, they hear an unfortunate announcement from the receptionist.

"I'm sorry everyone, but the Nugget Tournament is now officially full. We like to apologize to everyone who has been standing in line for a long time."

The people who are in line started complaining and getting upset at the announcements and so does Team Rocket as well.

Butch stomps his foot in anger. "Well, that's just fucking great!"

Mondo frowns. "Maybe it isn't our lucky day after all."

Cassidy grits her teeth and clutches her fist in anger. "Time for Plan B."

Butch raises an eyebrow. "Plan B?"

"Team Rocket doesn't give up that easy, let's go!" Cassidy says as she heads out with Butch and Mondo following her from behind.

The scene cuts to near the beginning of the Nugget Tournament as the host is seen with a microphone in his hand.

"Alright trainers, the Nugget Tournament is about to begin very soon. Everyone who has signed up, please pay attention to the big screen for your very first opponent!"

Everyone including Joanna and the gang looks at the screen to see what their guest opponent is and as the television screen projects the first round of the tournament, the gang and Joanna will be facing random trainers for the first round.

"Let's hope neither of us loses in the very first round," Domino says.

"Jessie wouldn't have to worry about that if she picked me!" Meowth complained.

Jessie groans in annoyance. "Meowth, stop complaining!"

James gives a thumbs up. "Good luck everyone during the tournament!"

It cuts to Jessie's turn in the tournament as she and her opponent step up on the Nugget Bridge, ready to battle.

The host starts announcing. "Alright everyone, our next round is Jessie versus Matthew! Will both trainers please step on the Nugget Bridge!"

Jessie and her first opponent in the tournament, Matthew, both step on the Nugget Bridge, ready to battle.

"May the battle begin!"

Matthew takes out a Poké Ball. "Oddish, I choose you!" The trainer sends out a Pokémon that resembles more of a blue plant bulb or a root vegetable into battle.

"Oddish!"

"And Matthew is starting with an Oddish! Let's see what Pokémon Jessie chose for the tournament!"

Meanwhile, Domino, Meowth, and James are watching the battle with the crowd from the sidelines.

"I wonder what Pokémon Jessie chose? Maybe Gyarados?" Domino suggested.

James' eyes widened. "I-I don't know about that. Gyarados could destroy the whole bridge if that happens."

Meowth glares at the bridge battlefield in frustration. "Jessie would've blown through this tournament if she picked me."

Back to the battlefield as Jessie's first-round battle is about to begin.

Jessie pulls out a Poké Ball from her purse. "Alright, I choose you!" Jessie throws her Poké Ball in the air as it opens revealing Ekans.

"Ekans!"

"Jessie has chosen Ekans, the poisonous snake Pokémon! Let's see which trainer will be victorious in battle!"

Matthew starts the battle with the first move. "Alright Oddish, use Sleep Powder!"

"Quick Ekans, dodge it!"

Oddish uses Sleep Powder, but Ekans was able to dodge it by slithering out of the way.

"Now Glare, Ekans!"

Ekans uses Glare to scare and stun Oddish from being afraid as Oddish is now paralyzed and its speed decreases.

"Come on Oddish, Acid!"

Oddish tries to use Acid, but it's too stunned by Ekans' Glare.

Jessie snaps her fingers in excitement. "Now use Wrap!"

Ekans starts wrapping around Oddish and strangling it as Oddish starts taking damage.

Matthew looks worried. "Absorb, quick!"

Oddish starts using Absorb and draining health from Ekans while being wrapped around it as Ekans now take damage with Oddish recovering 50% of health.

Jessie grits her teeth. "Ekans strangle harder with Wrap and then use Bite!"

Ekans strangles Oddish harder with Wrap and then bites Oddish's face. Oddish takes a lot of damage and officially faints as Ekans unwraps Oddish.

"Oddish, no!" Matthew shouted after seeing their Pokémon faint.

The host starts announcing. "And it looks like Oddish is out for the count and Jessie and her Ekans move on to the next round of the Nugget Tournament!"

The crowd cheers as Jessie moves on, including Domino, James, and Joanna, while Meowth just looks annoyed.

Jessie picks up her Ekans and hugs them. "I'm so proud of you, Ekans!"

"Ekans!"

The scene cuts to the middle of Joanna's first opponent in the tournament.

"Dodrio, Drill Peck!" Joanna commanded.

"Tentacool, dive in the water below the bridge to dodge!" The random trainer immediately commanded after.

Dodrio lunges at Tentacool for a Drill Peck, but Tentacool dives into the water below the Nugget Bridge to dodge the move.

"Tri Attack Dodrio, let's go!"

Dodrio warms up and fires a Tri Attack in the water below the bridge and a huge explosion under the water occurs which causes a huge splash of water that sends Tentacool back on the bridge. Tentacool immediately faints while static electricity is surrounding the Pokémon as the trainer gasps in shock and returns Tentacool.

"What a strategy by Joanna as she moves onto the next round of the tournament!" The host announced.

Joanna pulls out Dodrio's Poké Ball with a smile. "Good job, Dodrio."

The Pokémon smiles back. "Dodrio!"

Joanna returns Dodrio as she steps out off the bridge. It cuts to the gang who watched the entire battle.

"'Tri Attack?!'" Jessie says in shock.

"Tri Attack and Drill Peck are two really strong moves that a Dodrio can learn. I think Joanna is gonna be one tough obstacle in this tournament." Domino explained.

"Jessie wouldn't have a problem with her if-" Meowth cuts off his sentence from seeing Jessie glaring at him and quickly shuts up.

James whispers in Meowth's ear. "I would stop complaining if I was you."

Meowth rolls his eyes in response and whispers back. "Yeah, yeah…"

Domino's first round for the tournament is about to begin as we see her and her opponent on the bridge ready to battle.

"Clefairy, go!" Domino sends Clefairy into battle.

"Clefairy!"

Domino's opponent pulls out a Poké Ball. "Machop, I choose you!" The trainer sends Machop into battle to battle Clefairy.

"Machop!"

Domino's eyes widened. "Uh oh, a Fighting-type…" she says, quietly. "Clefairy, Metronome!"

Clefairy starts moving their fingers back and forth and repeating their name. "Clefairy. Clefairy. Clefairy." Clefairy starts hopping up and down, using the move Splash.

Domino falls in disbelief. "Of all the moves out there, it chose Splash?!"

The trainer smirks. "Alright Machop, Low Kick!"

Machop delivers a Low Kick right at Clefairy as the Pokémon takes a lot of damage, but it's still in the battle.

Domino starts sweating in fear. "Clefairy, use Metronome once more!"

Once again Clefairy starts moving their fingers back and forth and repeating their name. "Clefairy. Clefairy. Clefairy." Clefairy falls asleep as it uses Rest as Clefairy's health is fully healed now.

Domino's jaw dropped. "Come on, can't you use a move that can deal damage?!"

"Alright Machop, Leer!"

Machop uses Leer, which lowers Clefairy's defense by one stage as the Pokémon is still asleep.

"Now Low Kick once more!"

Machop delivers another Low Kick as Clefairy takes even more damage than before. Clefairy immediately wakes up from being hit and it looks like it's close to fainting.

Now Domino is more nervous than before. "Clefairy, Metronome!"

For the third time, Clefairy starts moving their fingers back and forth and repeating their name. "Clefairy. Clefairy. Clefairy."

Domino's opponent crosses their arms in anger. "You're not gonna win if you keep spamming Metronome like-"

Clefairy uses Psychic and the move hits Machop, as the Pokémon takes major damage and immediately faints from the super effective move.

"NO, MACHOP!" The trainer yelled.

"With the luck of the draw, Domino and Clefairy will be moving on to the next round!" The host announced.

Domino immediately hugs Clefairy. "I knew you could do it, Clefairy!"

"Clefairy!"

Now it goes to Jessie, James, and Meowth in the crowd who watched the battle.

"Domino really won by just using Metronome?" Jesse said.

"Talk about the luck of the draw," James said.

"With that kind of luck, Domino should buy a lottery ticket," Meowth said.

Now it cuts to James and his opponent on the Nugget Bridge as they are about to battle.

"Pikachu, I choose you!" James sends out Pikachu on the Nugget Bridge, ready to battle.

"Pikachu!"

James' opponent pulls out a Poké Ball. "Eevee, let's go!" The trainer sends out a small, mammalian, quadrupedal Pokémon with primarily brown fur into battle.

"Eevee!"

Meanwhile, in the crowd, Jessie spots the Eevee. "An Eevee?" Jessie pulls out the Pokédex from her purse.

"Eevee, the normal-type Pokémon. Its genetic code is irregular. It may mutate if it is exposed to radiation from element stones."

Both Domino and Jessie share confused looks about the Pokédex's information about Eevee as it cuts back to the battle.

James calls out the first move of the battle. "Pikachu, Thunder Wave!"

"Dodge it, Eevee!"

Pikachu uses Thunder Wave, but Eevee manages to dodge the move.

"Now Quick Attack!" The trainer commanded.

Eevee dashes at Pikachu and attacks it quickly as Pikachu takes damage.

"EEP, Pikachu Swift!"

Pikachu uses Swift and automatically delivers as Eevee takes damage.

"Eevee, Sand Attack!"

Eevee gets sand in Pikachu's eyes as the Pokémon is now blind from the sand.

"CHU!"

"Pikachu, ThunderShock!"

Pikachu tries to use ThunderShock, but due to sand being in its eyes, the attack misses Eevee.

"Now Eevee, use Double Team!"

Eevee uses Double Team as illusory copies of itself are now on the battlefield of the bridge, confusing Pikachu.

James starts sweating from being worried. "Pikachu, find the real Eevee and use Thunder Wave!"

Pikachu closes its eyes and focuses on finding the real Eevee. The Pokémon uses Thunder Wave at a random Eevee and Pikachu guessed right as that was the real Eevee. The Pokémon gets paralyzed as the illusion copies disappear.

"Eevee!" The trainer yelled in shock. "Quick Attack!"

Eevee tries to use Quick Attack, but couldn't move because of being paralyzed.

James smirks. "Alright Pikachu, Quick Attack!"

Pikachu starts dashing at Eevee.

"Pikachu, Pikachu, Pikachu!"

Pikachu strikes Eevee with a Quick Attack as the Pokémon takes damage.

"Eevee!"

James clutches his fist. "ThunderShock!"

"Pikachu!"

Pikachu uses ThunderShock and the move strikes and hits Eevee as the Pokémon gets electrocuted and faints.

The trainer falls to the ground. "Eevee!"

"And James and Pikachu move on to the next round in the tournament!" The host announced.

James immediately goes up and hugs Pikachu. "I'm so proud of you, Pikachu!"

"Cha!" Pikachu nuzzles James.

We see a montage of Jessie, Domino, James, and Joanna defeating their two next opponents in the Nugget Tournament as the four trainers are now the final four competitors of the tournament.

Jessie chuckles and rubs her head. "Looks like we four are the last competitors in the tournament."

Joanna nods. "We were bound to face each other at some point in the tournament."

James shrugs. "Whatever happens, happens!"

"Good luck everyone!" Domino says.

"Alright, the last four competitors in the Nugget Tournament, please pay attention to the screen and your semifinal opponent will be revealed!" The host announced.

Jessie, James, Domino, and Joanna pay their attention to the screen as the semifinal matchups have been revealed to the gang and Joanna. James versus Domino and Jessie versus Joanna.

"It looks like we're up first, Domino. Are you ready to lose?" James teased with a smirk.

"Trust me, you're the one who will be losing." Domino teased back.

It cuts to the Nugget Bridge with Domino and James standing on opposite sides of the bridge with a Poké Ball in both of their hands.

"Clefairy, go!"

"Pikachu, you can do it!"

Domino sends Clefairy to the battlefield as James sends Pikachu to the battlefield.

"Clefairy, use Metronome!"

Clefairy starts moving their fingers back and forth and repeating their name. "Clefairy. Clefairy. Clefairy." Clefairy starts dashing at Pikachu, looking to use Mega Kick.

James shrieks. "EEP, Pikachu dodge it quickly!"

Pikachu jumps over Clefairy, dodging the Mega Kick entirely.

"Thunder Wave!"

"You dodge it now, Clefairy!"

Pikachu uses Thunder Wave as Clefairy tries to dodge the move, but Clefairy fails to do so as the Thunder Wave paralyzes Clefairy.

"NO, CLEFAIRY! Quick Metronome!"

Clefairy tries to use Metronome, but can't because of being paralyzed.

James smirks. "Alright, Pikachu, Quick Attack!"

Pikachu dashes at Clefairy and strikes it with a Quick Attack as Clefairy takes damage.

Domino starts sweating in fear. "Metronome!"

Clefairy tries to use Metronome once more, but the paralysis got to the Pokémon once more.

James raises an eyebrow. "Do you have any other moves other than Metronome? Alright Pikachu, use ThunderShock!"

Pikachu uses ThunderShock as the move nails Clefairy and the Pokémon takes even more damage and is close to fainting.

James crosses his arms. "I would give up right now, Domino."

Domino starts to think. "With Clefairy being paralyzed and Metronome being a dice roll, I got to take the chance one more time." She says to herself. "Clefairy, Metronome once more!"

Clefairy, this time, manages to avoid the paralysis and use Metronome as Clefairy starts moving their fingers back and forth and repeating their name. "Clefairy. Clefairy. Clefairy."

James shakes his head. "You're really gonna roll the dice-"

The sound of the ground shaking can be heard as James cuts off mid-sentence and starts to look around in confusion and so does Pikachu. The move Clefairy used was Earthquake. Earthquake deals so much damage from being super effective to Pikachu as the Pokémon immediately faints.

James shrieks once more. "EEP, NO!"

The host is shocked at this. "And Domino once again moves on with just using Metronome! This has got to be the luckiest person on the planet!"

James returns Pikachu to its Poké Ball. "You did great, Pikachu. You deserve a long rest." James looks at Domino. "Great battle, Domino!"

"Same with you, James!" Domino once again hugs Clefairy.

Now it cuts to Jessie and Joanna on the bridge with Ekans and Dodrio already on the Nugget Bridge as well.

"And our next semifinal matchup is Jessie versus Joanna! Whoever wins this battle will move on to face Domino in the finals. May the battle begin!"

Joanna calls out the first move of the match. "Dodrio, Double Team!"

Dodrio makes illusion copies of itself as it confuses Ekans.

"Ekans, Acid!"

Ekans uses Acid but it, unfortunately, hits a fake copy, then another one, and another one.

"Drill Peck, Dodrio!"

The real Dodrio nails Ekans with a Drill Peck as the illusion copies disappear.

Jessie yelled. "AH, EKANS! Quick, use Glare!"

Ekans uses Glare at Dodrio, the Pokémon is now paralyzed and its speed has decreased.

"Dodrio, use Agility!"

Dodrio was about to use Agility despite being paralyzed as the Pokémon raised its speed.

"Wrap now!"

Ekans wraps itself around Dodrio, squeezing the Pokémon as Dodrio takes damage.

Joanna looks worried. "Dodrio, Drill Peck!"

Dodrio tries to Drill Peck Ekans while the Pokémon is wrapped around it, but can't as the paralysis affects Dodrio.

Jessie snaps her fingers. "Bite, let's go!"

Ekans bites Dodrio as the Pokémon takes even more damage.

Joanna starts sweating. "Dodrio, shake Ekans off of you!"

Dodrio tries to do so and it succeeds, flinging Ekans in the air.

"Now use Tri Attack!"

Jessie's eyes widened. "Oh no, Tri Attack!"

Dodrio looks up and uses Tri Attack while Ekans was in the air as the move hits the Pokémon and then it crashes down to the bridge, taking major damage.

"EKANS!" Jessie shouted.

As the smoke clears, Ekans is still up and able to battle, but looks badly damaged.

Jessie sighs in relief. "Acid!"

Ekans uses Acid and the move hits Dodrio as the Pokémon takes damage.

Joanna takes out a Paralyze Heal. "Here, Dodrio!" She uses the Paralyze Heal and cures Dodrio of its paralysis.

Jessie looks focused. "Bite!"

Ekans lunges at Dodrio to use Bite.

"Drill Peck, now!"

Dodrio tries to use Drill Peck on Ekans, but the Pokémon bites its middle beak before it can use the move.

Joanna's eyes widened. "Oh no!"

Jessie clutches her fist. "Wrap around it!"

Ekans starts wrapping around Dodrio's body and squeezing the Pokémon, dealing damage.

"Dodrio, try to get out of it!" Joanna commanded while worried.

Dodrio tries to get out of Ekans' Wrap, but can't as Ekans can hold on.

"Acid!"

Ekans uses Acid and hits Dodrio directly in the face as the Pokémon falls to the ground and faints.

"YES!" Jessie pumps her fist in the air and goes over to hug Ekans.

Meanwhile, Joanna returns Dodrio to its Poké Ball. "You did great, Dodrio. You deserve a nice rest."

"Jessie will move on and face Domino in the Nugget Tournament finals!" The host announced.

Joanna walks over to Jessie and shakes her hand in respect. "That was a good battle, Jessie. Your Ekans is really impressive. Good luck in the finals."

Jessie nods in response. "Thank you! Your Dodrio is also really impressive too, I thought my Ekans fainted there with your Tri Attack."

It cuts to the crowd, Domino and James clapping for Jessie as Meowth pulls Domino down to his height.

"Hey!" Domino yelled out.

Meowth shushes Domino's mouth. "Look, I want you to beat Jessie and that Ekans in the finals of the tournament. Teaching her a lesson about not picking me. I'm rooting for you, don't let me down."

Domino raises an eyebrow. "You're not going to cheer for your trainer? Meowth, I think your jealousy has reached high numbers. You should be happy that Jessie is using Pokémon she hasn't used yet."

Meowth glares at Domino. "Don't make me change my mind."

It cuts to the finals of the Nugget tournament, Jessie versus Domino as they both step on the Nugget Bridge.

Domino smirks. "Hey Jessie, if you beat me in this tournament, you don't have to owe me a bike anymore!"

Jessie rolls her eyes. "As I said earlier, I wasn't gonna get you a new bike anyway."

Domino glares at Jessie. "I see how it is! Well if I beat you or will pay for my bike then!"

Jessie chuckles "You're on! Ekans, let's go!"

"Clefairy, go!"

Both Jessie and Domino send out their Pokémon to battle as the finals are about to begin.

"Ekans, Acid!"

Ekans shoots out Acid from its mouth right at Clefairy as the Pokémon takes damage.

"Clefairy, Metronome!"

Clefairy starts moving their fingers back and forth and repeating their name. "Clefairy. Clefairy. Clefairy." Clefairy uses Double Team as illusions of Clefairy start appearing, confusing Ekans.

"Try to find the right Clefairy Ekans and use Bite!"

Ekans lunges at one of Clefairy to bite it, but it was one of the illusions as it disappears and Ekans drops down.

"Metronome, Clefairy!"

Clefairy starts moving their fingers back and forth and repeating their name. "Clefairy. Clefairy. Clefairy." Clefairy starts dashing at Ekans, about to go for the move, Mega Kick.

"EKANS, DODGE IT QUICK!" Jessie shouted.

Ekans immediately dash out of the way to dodge the Mega Kick move from Clefairy.

"No way she can win this by just spamming Metronome," Jessie said quietly to herself.

Meanwhile, while the battle is happening, it cuts to the river below where Team Rocket is underwater with scuba diving suits as they surface.

"Okay, ready for the plan?" Cassidy asked her partners-in-crime.

Butch and Mondo both nod in response.

"Let's do this!" Butch said in excitement.

"Let's steal a trophy and a Pokémon!" Mondo declared.

As Team Rocket dive back underwater to go forward with their plan, they, unfortunately, run into a Gyarados as it looks mad at them. Team Rocket hug each other in fear as the Gyarados use Hydro Pump and send Team Rocket blasting off to the sky.

"LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Ding!

Domino, Jessie, and their Pokémon turned their attention to the sky as they heard familiar voices.

Jessie questioned the familiar voices. "Was that…"

"Let's just continue our battle…" Domino responds.

Both Jessie, Domino, and their Pokémon go back to paying attention to the battle.

"Ekans, Glare!"

Ekans glares at Clefairy as the Pokémon is now paralyzed.

Domino growls. "Paralyzed once again. Alright, use Metronome!"

Clefairy tries to use Metronome, but can't because of paralysis.

"Use Wrap!"

Ekans wraps around Clefairy as the Pokémon starts taking damage.

"Metronome, Clefairy!"

Clefairy once again tries to use Metronome, but paralysis strikes once again.

"Alright Ekans, Bite!"

Ekans bites Clefairy as it takes even more damage.

Domino starts sweating. "Come on Clefairy, use Metronome!"

Clefairy once again tries to use Metronome, but can't as paralysis strikes once more.

Domino falls in disbelief then quickly gets back up. "AW COME ON!"

Jessie smirks. "Ekans, wrap that Clefairy even tighter!"

Ekans starts tightening up the wrap even more as Clefairy is crying in pain and taking a lot of damage.

"CLEFAIRY, METRONOME!"

Clefairy slowly starts moving its fingers, it can't cry out its name from being wrapped by Ekans, but it was able to pull Metronome off. Clefairy uses Psychic and nails Ekans with it and is super effective as the Pokémon faints.

Jessie is immediately shocked. "NO WAY!"

Domino jumps up to celebrate. "WE DID IT CLEFAIRY, WE WON!"

"Clefairy!"

"And that's it, Domino has won the Nugget Trophy and the Pokémon with it, and by only using Metronome of course!" The host announced

The crowd immediately starts cheering and clapping, especially Meowth because of Domino winning. It cuts to Domino being presented with the Nugget trophy and the Poké Ball containing the mysterious Pokémon. Then it cuts to the gang meeting up with Joanna.

"Congrats on winning, Domino!" Joanna said with a smile.

Domino smiles back. "Thank you so much!"

Jessie crosses her arms in anger. "I can't believe I lost."

"Stop crying Jessie, you lost, get over it," Meowth says with a grin.

"Domino, let's see what the mysterious Pokémon is!" James says in excitement.

"Oh right, I hope it's a water Pokémon!" Domino pulls out the Poké Ball that she won from the tournament. "Poké Ball go!" She throws the Poké Ball to send out the mysterious Pokémon she won.

The mysterious Pokémon that Domino is revealed to be a-

"Bulbasaur!" It cries out.

Domino froze in shock as Jessie and James just looked at each other in wordiness.

"Well Domino, if you don't want the Bulbasaur, I'll happily take it," Jessie suggested with a grin.

"It's… it's… PERFECT!" Domino picks up Bulbasaur and hugs it. "With a grass-type on my side, I have an advantage against any other water-type Pokémon trainers!"

Jessie sighs in sadness. "I always wanted a Bulbasaur. It was the first Pokémon I was gonna choose as my starter."

James and Meowth both pat Jessie's back.

"Well, I hope you enjoy your Bulbasaur, Domino. I'll be heading off now. Bye, guys!" Joanna waves goodbye at the gang.

"Bye, Joanna!" "See ya!" "Bye-bye!" Jessie, James, and Domino all wave goodbye back as they go their separate ways.

"What a fun little tournament! Domino also has gotten a new friend as well and our heroes continue the path to Vermilion City with Jessie aiming for her third badge. Let's hope this tournament has also been good training for Jessie as the journey continues!"
