A Purr-fect Threat!

The episode starts with the gang on Route 22, Jessie is training by facing James' Pikachu with Meowth. Meanwhile, Domino is minding her own business and taking care of her blue Pokémon Egg.

"With the Kanto League Tournament close, Jessie is doing some serious training with James to get stronger and better to increase her chances of winning!"

James commands a move. "Pikachu, Thunder!"

"PikaaaCHUUUU!" Pikachu fires a massive beam of yellow electricity from its body at Meowth.

"Meowth, dodge it now!" Jessie countered.

Meowth quickly gets on his fours and dodges the Thunder by running out of the way on all fours. Meowth stands back up after dodging Thunder. "That was close!"

Jessie smiles in delight. "That was some nice dodging, Meowth!"

James nods in approval. "I have to say, keep this up guys and you will win the league in no time!"

All of a sudden, a bush starts rattling, getting the gang's attention as they look where that noise is coming from.

"What's that?" Domino questioned the shaking of the bush.

"It might be some Pokémon, stay back," Jessie warned, pulling out a Poké Ball and ready to battle whatever Pokémon was causing the bushes to rattle.

The Pokémon jumps up from the bush and cries out its name, starting directly at Meowth. "Persian!" It was a feline Pokémon with a pale tan exactly like Meowth's tan.

Meowth growls, staring directly back at the Persian. "Oh great, it's a dumb Persian!"

"A Persian huh?" Jessie pulls out her Pokédex.

"Persian, the Classy Cat Pokémon. Evolved form of Meowth. A normal type. Although its fur has many admirers, it is tough to raise as a pet because of its fickle meanness."

Meowth and Persian continued to stare down at each other, growing and hissing, while the gang all looked at each other with worried expressions.

The title screen shows.

"A Purr-fect Threat!"

Meowth starts explaining while staring at the Persian. "This is why I'm never evolving into a Persian. Not only they're ugly, but they're stupid too!"

Persian shouts towards Meowth in anger. "Persian!"

"Well, I think you should catch this wild Persian, Jessie," Domino suggested.

Meowth immediately looks back in disbelief. "WHAT?!"

"What do you mean, Domino?" Jessie asked. "I already have Meowth."

Domino shrugs. "I mean if Meowth is never going to evolve into a Persian, you might as well catch a wild one."

"Jessie, I swear you better not listen to her at all!" Meowth threatens with a glare.

Jessie sweats a little and starts rubbing her head. "I-I don't know."

James steps in with an empty Poké Ball in his hand. "If Jessie can't decide, then I'll catch this wild Persian! Ready, Pikachu?"

Pikachu bumps Meowth out of the way to face the Persian. "Chu!"

"Hey!" Meowth shouted.

As Pikachu and Persian now have a stare-down, before James can call out the first attack, the gang hears a shout of a trainer from the distance. "Persian, there you are!" It was a woman trainer with blonde long hair in, what looked like, a blue cheerleader uniform, sprinting towards her Persian and then proceeding to hug it. "I'm so happy you're okay! You made me worried, Persian! Don't run off like that ever again!"

Persian purrs and nuzzles its trainer. "Persian!"

The gang looked on at saw the blonde female trainer hugging their Persian. "I guess this Persian already has a trainer," Jessie says, earning a nod in response from both Domino and James.

Meowth rolls his eyes and crosses his arms. "Good, so I don't have to worry about you or James catching it."

The blonde trainer looks to see the gang staring directly at her, she gets up and immediately bows to introduce herself. "Where are the manners? I'm sorry to disturb you fine people but my name's Samantha! You may also call me Sam, either one works!"

The gang also starts introducing themselves to Samantha as well. "Nice to meet you, Sam. My name's Jessie! And this is Meowth!" Jessie looks at Meowth on her shoulder who just looks away, annoyed as the others continue introducing themselves. "My name is Domino!" "And I'm James! Sorry I tried to battle your Persian earlier, we thought it was a wild one."

"Oh, that's alright!" Samantha responded with a chuckle. "It's a common mistake after all. I and Persian were training for the Kanto League Tournament and I guess they sensed a Meowth nearby and sprinted off." She then notices Meowth on Jessie's shoulder. "Ahh, I guess Persian was right. Sorry, my Persian isn't friendly towards Meowth."

"Persian!" Persian growls and hisses at Meowth which Meowth responds by hissing right back at the Persian.

"I guess our Pokémon have something in common because my Meowth doesn't like Persian that much." Jessie chuckles and rubs the back of her head.

"Yeah! So stay away from me you oversized Meowth betrayer!" Meowth shouted directly at Persian.

Persian immediately fires back directly towards Meowth. "Persian! Persian!"

"What did you say about my mother?! I'll claw you to death!" Meowth tries to claw Samantha's Persian but Jessie holds him back.

"Meowth, stop it, now!" Jessie demanded as she looked at Samantha. "My dear apologies, Sam."

"It's fine." Samantha chuckles. "That gives me an idea though. How about you and I have a little battle? I could use a little training for the League Tournament."

"You're in the Kanto League Tournament too?!" Jessie says, a little shocked.

Samantha nods as she pulls out her badge case and shows the gang her eight Gym badges. Some Gym badges look a little different from what Jessie has. "I worked hard for these badges and it paid off!" Samantha closes her badge case and looks at Jessie, very interested in something. "How about you show me your badge case, Jessie?!"

Jessie was caught off guard by how Samantha was so interested in her badges but agreed. "Oh um sure, okay!" She pulled out her badge case from her purse and was about to show her badge case to Samantha.

Meowth steps in and interrupts Jessie before she can. "Hold it, Jess, before you do that, I want to teach this Persian some manners. Battle her, now!"

Jessie chuckles and rubs her head embarrassingly. "Is it cool if we battle first before I show you my badges?"

Samantha nods with a smile. "Oh sure! Just a one-on-one battle with your Meowth vs. my Persian?"

Jessie also nods with a thumbs-up. "You got it!"

It cuts to Jessie and Samantha standing further away from each other to make a battlefield in the middle as they start getting ready for their battle. "Ready, Meowth?" Jessie says, looking at her Meowth.

"Ready as ever!" Meowth hops onto the battlefield, looking ready to fight the Persian.

Samantha looks at her Persian. "Alright Persian, ready to score another win for us?"

"Persian!" Persian jumps onto the made-up battlefield. As soon as Persian does, both Persian and Meowth start snarling and glaring at each other.

James decides himself to be the referee of the Pokémon battle. "This battle is between Jessie with her Meowth and Samantha with her Persian! This will be a one-on-one battle. May the battle begin!"

Jessie commands the first move of the battle. "Meowth, use Slash!"

However, Samantha also follows up with the same move Jessie commanded just now. "You also use Slash too, Persian!"

Both Meowth and Persian's claws glow white as both felines' claws collide together with both Pokémon gritting their teeth angrily at each other.

"Now Thunderbolt!" Jessie commanded.

"Take this!" Meowth's body starts getting surrounded by electricity and sends out a bolt of lightning right at Persian, as the Pokémon gets electrocuted, taking damage. Persian immediately draws back to its side of the battlefield, still able to fight after taking a Thunderbolt.

"So that Meowth can learn Thunderbolt, huh?" Samantha said to herself quietly before commanding her next move out loud. "Alright, Persian, Iron Tail!"

"Persian!" Persian's tail begins to turn metallic as it starts dashing toward Meowth, about to strike the talking Pokémon with its metallic tail.

"Dodge it quick, Meowth!" Jessie quickly countered.

Meowth gets on all fours and dashes out of the way as Persian strikes, the evolved form hitting the ground after missing Meowth. Meowth gets back on his legs and taunts."Ha! Miss me!"

"Now Meowth, Fury Swipes!" Jessie commanded.

Samantha commands the same move that Jessie does again. "You use Fury Swipes too, Persian!"

Both Meowth and Persian's claws glow white once more as they start striking at each other over and over with both claws colliding with each other over and over with neither Pokémon backing down on one another.

"Wow, James, this battle is so intense," Domino says from the sidelines.

James nods. "Meowth has a hatred for Persian and Persian has a hatred for Meowth. It was no surprise that these two Pokémon wanted to make things intense."

After countless clashes with each of the feline's claws, Persian gets the upper hand by putting its tail right in front of Meowth for a distraction and striking the talking Pokémon with its back claws as Meowth cries out in pain and takes damage.

Meowth gets back up with a glare on his face. "That was a dirty move, Persian!"

Persian gave Meowth a snarky reply with a grin. "Persian!"

"Focus more on the battle Meowth and use Thunderbolt!" Jessie commanded.

Electricity begins to flow around Meowth's body as he sends a bolt of lightning right to Persian.

Samantha immediately counters. "Conduct it with your Iron Tail!"

This command made Jessie shocked. "What?!"

Persian jumps up in the air and turns around as its tail glows white then becomes metallic. The electricity from Meowth's Thunderbolt begins to be conducted by Persian's metallic tail, then Persian slams its electrical Iron Tail right on Meowth.

"AH!" Meowth screams out in pain from getting hit by Persian's electric Iron Tail and then immediately falls to the ground in pain.

"MEOWTH, NO!" Jessie called out.

Domino and James both look impressed too after what Samantha commanded. "What type of move was that, James?!" Domino asked.

"Metal can conduct electricity, so Sam used Persian's Iron Tail to conduct Meowth's Thunderbolt and use it right back at him with also the damage from that Iron Tail too!"

Meowth slowly gets up, still able to fight. "I'm… not done yet!" Then he winces in pain after static electricity surrounds his body, signaling paralysis.

Jessie starts getting worried and thinks to herself. "Oh no, Meowth is paralyzed. I still have to take the risk and hope Meowth lands the hit." She then commands her next move out loud. "Meowth, Fury Swipes!"

Meowth tries to dash towards Persian, but the paralysis stops dead in his tracks as he is down one knee and winces in more pain.

Jessie's eyes widened in fear. "Oh no!"

"Now it's time to finish this battle. The one move that always ends in my favor with these battles!" Samantha points directly at Meowth with her finger. "Persian, use Bite!"

"Persian!" Persian dashes towards Meowth with large teeth surrounding its face then bites down right on Meowth as the talking Pokémon screams in pain and then faints from the battle.

"MEOWTH!" Jessie sprints towards her Meowth for support.

James declares the battle. "This battle is now over, Samantha and Persian are the winners!"

"We did it, Persian! Another win for us!" Samantha hugged her Persian when it was running towards her and her Persian started purring while being hugged.

Jessie, while holding her unconscious Meowth in her arms, walks towards Samantha with a smile. "That was a great battle! Your Persian is very strong!"

Samantha smiles and bows. "Thank you! Your Meowth wasn't bad either."

"Oh, since our battle is now over, I'll show you my badges now." Jessie reaches into her purse to pull out her badge case, but Samantha interrupts her.

"Oh, that's fine. We probably most likely have the same badges anyway." Samantha chuckles before her smile fades away once turning around away from Jessie and speaking inside of her mind. "There's no way she's one of the two people that have beaten Giovanni. Her Meowth looks extremely weak."

It cuts to the Team Rocket trip spying on the gang as always after watching the battle between Jessie and Samantha. "The twerpette's Meowth got destroyed by that girl's Persian."

Butch looks very confused. "That Meowth destroyed the boss' ultimate weapon yet lost to a Persian? How does that make sense?!"

"Well in defense, that girl's Persian looks very strong. I say we steal it!" Mondo suggested.

Cassidy immediately shakes her head. "No! Our mission by the boss' orders is to steal the talking Meowth and that's it!"

"Listen, guys. Instead of a Meowth, would it be better if we give the boss a Persian instead? I could just see it now." Mondo starts fantasizing about Giovanni petting a Persian by his side while narrating in the background. "That Persian will be the ultimate Pokémon for Giovanni and Team Rocket! Once we're the ones that stole Persian for him, he will give us raises and I'll be a top agent!" Mondo ends his fantasy.

Butch grins. "I like the sound of that! Good thinking, Mondo!"

Cassidy crosses her arms and looks away. "Alright, you somehow convinced me to steal that Persian, now I'm on board with it."

"Awesome! I just got the perfect plan to do so, let's do it, team!" Mindi leaves with his partners-in-crime to start working on their plan.

It cuts back to the gang with Samantha as they're just sitting on logs and chatting with each other.

"So, how did you end up with Persian, Sam?" Domino asked.

"Oh, well you see, Persian was my very first Pokémon as a Meowth." The scene starts showing Samantha's flashback of how she met Persian as we see Samantha walking in the woods while she's narrating.

"I was simply just walking in the woods to take a nice walk and to enjoy nature, but all of a sudden I came across an Arbok."

Arbok jumps out in front of Samantha and the Pokémon cries directly at her, angrily. "Arbok!"

"I had no idea why it was angry at first, so I simply turned around and started heading back, until another Arbok blocked my path!"

Samantha turned around and was about to head in another direction until another Arbok appeared and said its cry directly at her, angrily. "Arbok!"

"AH! Please let me go, I don't know what I did!" Samantha starts backing away slowly until she bumps into a tree behind her.

"I was starting to think I accidentally ran into an Arbok's nest nearby. I thought it was over for me, until…"

As Samantha closes her eyes, ready to accept her fate, she hears the cry of a Meowth. "MEOWTH!" Then a few swipes and scratches. She slowly opens her eyes to see the two Arbok slithering away and then a Meowth in front of her, looking at the Arbok. "A-a Meowth?" Samantha stuttered.

The wild Meowth turns around to face Samantha with a smile. "Meowth!"

"After that moment, me and Meowth had a great bond as Meowth would let me catch them."

The flashback cuts to Samantha holding out an empty Poké Ball towards Meowth. "Do you really want to be my Pokémon, Meowth?"

Meowth immediately nods in agreement. "Meowth!" The Pokémon jumps up and taps on the Poké Ball, letting itself be captured.

"And after that, Meowth and I set out on an adventure together! However, there was a problem… Meowth always comes out short during battles."

The flashbacks cut to a montage of Meowth losing and losing to trainers, then it cuts to the Pewter City with Samantha fighting Brock with Meowth and Onix on the battlefield.

"Meowth and I couldn't even get our first Gym badge."

"Onix, use Slam!" Brock commanded.

"Onix!" Onix slowly starts descending its rock tail onto Samantha's Meowth as the Pokémon starts shaking in fear.

"MEOWTH, NO!" Samantha called out.

"After so many losses and then the Gym Battle against Brock, my Meowth lost all hope in battling and didn't want to battle anymore."

The flashback cuts to Samantha against a Pokémon trainer. "You think your Pokémon has a chance against my Pokémon?" The trainer says, holding out a Poké Ball with a smirk look on their face.

"Just watch me! My Meowth is going to destroy you!" Samantha then looks at her Meowth which looks sad and not in the mood to battle. "Meowth, are you alright?"

Meowth sighs and turns around. "Meowth…"

"I tried everything to cheer Meowth into battle again, but almost everything didn't work."

The flashback cuts to a montage of Samantha trying to cheer Meowth up by trying to feed it Pokémon food, giving them cat toys, and then catnip.

"Until…"

It now cuts to Samantha talking to her Meowth. "Meowth, would you please cheer up and battle again? I-I can't become a Pokémon Master if you can't cheer up." She starts shedding tears as Meowth continues to sit there with a frown. Samantha looks back up at her Meowth. "Okay, what about this? I'll train you so hard until you evolve into a powerful Persian so that you're not a Meowth anymore. Will you go back to battling? What do you say?"

Meowth looks at Samantha, uncrosses its arms, and nods. "Meowth."

Samantha immediately hugs her Meowth, crying in tears of joy. "Thank you so much, Meowth!"

"And after that, Meowth and I began training together hard. After a little help with rare candies and battling wild Pokémon, it finally happened."

The flashback cuts to the near end of the battle between Samantha's Meowth and a wild Caterpie. "Meowth, use Scratch on that Caterpie!"

"Meowth!" Meowth's claws glow white and sharpen as they scratch the Caterpie, causing the wild Pokémon to cry out in pain and faint.

Samantha pumps her fist in the air. "We did it, Meowth!"

"Meowth!" Meowth starts slowly glowing white as Samantha looks on in amazement.

"Y-you're… evolving!" Samantha exclaimed.

The evolution process begins as Meowth slowly starts evolving into a Persian. Once it's completed, the glow slowly fades away to reveal that Samantha's Meowth is now a Persian. "Persian!"

The flashback officially ends as it cuts to the present time with Samantha finishing her story. "After Meowth evolved into Persian, everything began to change. We started winning battles with trainers left and right, and then we easily won all eight requirement badges for the League Tournament!"

The gang looked amazed by Samantha's story and James was crying after it ended. "Such a sad story." He cries into his elbow as Domino pats him on the back for support.

Jessie has her eyes wide open, connecting the dots. "So that's why your Persian despises Meowth because it's reminding them about their past where they couldn't win any battles."

Samantha nods in agreement. "I guess that might be the case then."

"Hey Meowth, how come you hate Persian so much?" Jessie looks down in her arms at her unconscious Meowth, forgetting that her Meowth fainted from the battle earlier. "Oh… I forgot."

Samantha chuckles before standing up. "Come on, we should head back to Viridian City so we can heal our Pokémon after that battle. My Persian could use a good healing as well!"

Jessie looks at Samantha with a smile and nods. "That would be great!"

It cuts to the gang and Samantha walking on the Route, heading back to Viridian City until Domino spots something. "Check this out, guys." She pointed out as the gang and Samantha stopped walking to look. It was a Pokémon Center strangely on Route 22.

"That's odd, I never heard of a Pokémon Center on this route?" James says, confused.

"Maybe it was recently built! Lucky us, huh?" Jessie replies with a smile. "Let's go in!"

As Jessie and her friends start heading towards the strange Pokémon Center, Samantha stands behind for a little bit, having a suspicious look on her face before following the gang in the supposedly Pokémon Center. As the group walks in, Nurse Joy pops up behind the counter with a smile. "Welcome to the Pokémon Center! How may I help you?"

"Yeah, I have a question. Was this Pokémon Center recently built? I haven't seen one on this Route before." Samantha asked with a raised eyebrow.

The Nurse Joy nods with a smile. "While certainly yes it has been recently built!" She then looks at Jessie's unconscious Meowth. "Your Meowth sure looks tired, may I heal the little guy up?"

"Oh, um sure!" Jessie was about to walk towards the counter to hand over her Meowth to Nurse Joy for healing.

Samantha extends her arm to stop Jessie. "Hold on, Jessie." She turns towards Nurse Joy and pulls out a Poké Ball. "I would like my Persian to be healed first, please, before any other Pokémon."

The Nurse Joy happily nods. "Well certainly! Our doctor will surely accept your Persian to heal!"

A guy with green hair, wearing glasses, a mask, and a doctor's outfit walks over to the group and extends his hand to Samantha for the Poké Ball. After Samantha glaring at the apparent doctor, she hands the Poké Ball over as the doctor turns around and heads to the back.

"We will be back soon with your fully healed Persian!" Nurse Joys says with a smile before following the doctor to the back.

"Gee, I wonder how long it's going to take?" Domino asked, scratching her head.

"I hope it doesn't take that long," Jessie replied. "because I also have my Meowth to heal as well!"

James looks at her friends with an annoyed look. "Just be patient guys."

All of a sudden, the entire Pokémon Center building starts to shake as the group starts stumbling from the movement. "What is happening?!" Jessie asked, being worried.

"RUN FOR IT!" Samantha yelled out, as she and the gang immediately ran out of the building they stopped to look, seeing the entire Pokémon Center building collapsed. They look up as the gang sees a familiar hot air balloon with Nurse Joy and the doctor inside, laughing.

The two are heard laughing evilly as a certain motto starts up. "Prepare for trouble!" "Make it double!" "To infect the world with devastation!" "To blind all people within every nation!" "To denounce the goodness of truth and love!" "To extend our wrath from the stars above!" Cassidy rips off the Nurse Joy mask and outfit. "Cassidy!" Butch rips off his doctor's disguise. "And Butch of course!" "We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night!" "Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!" Mondo's head appears in front of them from the basket of the hot air balloon. "I'm Mondo alright!"

The gang grits their teeth from seeing the Team Rocket trio again. "TEAM ROCKET!"

Samantha looks confused. "Team Rocket?"

Jessie turns to Samantha to answer her question. "They're bad guys that steal a bunch of Pokémon, but those three are always after my Meowth!"

"Why have a Meowth, when we could steal a nice Persian?" Cassidy says, holding out the Poké Ball that Samantha gave them.

Butch laughs. "You twerps always fall for our tricks and it's hilarious!"

"Oh yeah?" Jessie pulls out a Safari Ball. "And we always beat you three. Scizor, go after them!" She sends Scizor up in the air.

Scizor materializes while in the air and starts flying toward Team Rocket's hot air balloon. "Scizor!"

Mondo quickly pulls out a Poké Ball. "Ditto, transform into Scizor, quick!" He sends out Ditto.

Ditto materializes. "Ditto!" Before transforming into Scizor and starts flying towards Jessie's Scizor.

"Metal Claw!" Jessie commanded.

"You use Metal Claw too, Ditto!" Mondo countered.

Jessie's Scizor and the Ditto-transformed Scizor both claws glow white, turning metallic as both Metal Claw clash, but the Ditto-transformed Scizor quickly uses its other claw to strike Jessie's Scizor, taking it down. "Scizor!" Scizor cries, slowly falling to the ground.

"Scizor, return!" Jessie recalls Scizor back in its Safari Ball.

Team Rocket's hot air balloon gets more father and father, almost impossible for the gang to reach them laughing. "You better think of something fast twerps!" Cassidy said. "Yeah, because we're getting away!" Butch added, but with a laugh.

James quickly pulls out a Poké Ball. "You're not getting away with this! Charizard, go after Team Rocket and use Flamethrower!" He sends out Charizard into the air.

Charizard materializes, and roars, before flames come out of its mouth and start heading towards Ditto-transformed Scizor.

"Ditto, now transform into Charizard and use Flamethrower too!" Mondo quickly counters.

Ditto now transforms into Charizard as it also sends out flames right from its mouth from James' Charizard. Both Flamethrowers collide, causing smoke to be sent towards James' Charizard's way, causing the flame Pokémon to cough and be distracted.

"Wing Attack, now!" Mondo commanded.

As the smoke slowly clears, James' Charizard looks only to get slammed by one of Ditto-transformed Charizard's wings, as the real Charizard roars in pain and starts slowly falling to the ground like what Scizor did a few seconds ago.

"OH NO, CHARIZARD!" James quickly recalls Charizard back in its Poké Ball.

Both Cassidy and Butch start laughing as Team Rocket's hot air balloon is now unreachable to the gang. "Nice job, Mondo!" Cassidy praised.

Mondo shrugs. "What can I say? I don't deserve all the credit here, Ditto also did fantastic!"

"And now we're actually going to beat those twerps and steal a Pokémon from them! Pinch me, I must be dreaming over here!" Butch says before Mondo pinches him. "OW! Not literally!"

"LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET GOT AWAY THIS TIME!" Team Rocket's hot air balloon slowly fades away from the gang's view with Ditto-transformed Charizard following them. Ding!

The gang looks up, realizing that the Team Rocket trio got away from them. "I can't believe it… they got away, they got away from us," Jessie says, in disbelief.

James punches the ground in anger. "Dammit! I can't believe this!"

Domino sighs and looks down in sadness then turns to Samantha. "I'm so sorry Samantha, they got away with your Persian. We're gonna track them down and get your Persian back, we promise!"

However, Samantha doesn't look sad at all, to the gang's surprise, she's smirking as Samantha crosses her arms with a confident look. "Are you sure?"

"Why are you smiling? Your Persian was stolen, as a matter of fact, why did you just stand there and not help us get your Persian back?" Jessie asked in suspicion.

Samantha snickers as she pulls out a Poké Ball. "Simple!" She tosses the Poké Ball in the air.

The Poké Ball opens in the air as Samantha's Persian materializes with the gang's shock. "Persian!" The Pokémon cried out.

"NO WAY!" The gang all said in shock.

Samatha catches Persian's Poké Ball from the air. "Ta-da!"

James stops being shocked as he now snickers. "What did you do?"

"Simple. I knew there wasn't a Pokémon Center on this route, I've explored Route 22 many times, so I knew something was up. I handed them a simple empty Poké Ball and I wonder how long it's gonna take them to notice." Samantha laughs.

"Wow, that's genius! Nice job, Samantha!" Jessie praised, giving her a thumbs-up.

Domino nods in agreement. "Yeah! That sure was a close one! I thought Team Rocket beat us this time." She chuckles and rubs the back of her head.

"Team Rocket never will beat us, even if they think they did," James added with a chuckle of his own.

"Oh, before I forget. Jessie, this is for your Meowth." Samantha handed something to Jessie, it was some medicine with a yellow and rhombus-shaped appearance.

"Huh?" Jessie accepts Samantha's gift and looks at it, confused. "What is this?"

"It's a Revive," Samantha answered. "Use it on Meowth, it'll heal and revive Meowth from fainting, hence the name."

"Ahh, okay!" Jessie uses the Revive that Samantha gave her on Meowth.

Meowth's eyes shoot up, immediately looking around. "Who, what, when, where, why?" The talking Pokémon sees Persian. "Alright Persian, I'm ready to finish this battle by beating you!"

The Persian rolls their eyes and growls in response.

"Um, Meowth… the battle has been over for a while, you just have been knocked out," Jessie stated.

"Does that mean I lost to a Persian?!" Meowth growls and clutches his fist in anger. "Now my day has been ruined!"

Domino scoffs. "You're going to forget the very next day. You lost many battles before, don't let this one ruin your day."

Meowth notices the collapsed building. "Uhh… should I ask what happened while I was knocked out?"

James immediately shakes his head no. "No. No, you don't."

"I should be heading out soon, but before I do, Domino and James, since I already battled Jessie, may I battle both of you too?" Samantha asked.

Domino and James both look at each other before turning their eyes back to Samantha. "Sure. Can I go first though?" Domino asked.

Samantha nods with a smile. "Of course!"

It cuts to Domino and Samantha standing far away from each other to make a made-up battlefield surrounding them. Samantha turns to her Persian. "Alright Persian, I'm choosing you!"

"Persian!" Persian jumps onto the made-up battlefield.

Domino gently places her blue Pokémon Egg next to her before pulling out a Poké Ball. "You're going with Persian after that battle with Jessie?"

Samantha nods in response. "Yep! I still believe Persian can still beat you!"

"Your funeral then! Ivysaur, I choose you!" Domino sends out Ivysaur into battle.

Ivysaur materializes. "Ivysaur!"

Domino commands the first move of the match. "Ivysaur, use Razor Leaf!"

Ivysaur starts releasing multiple big and powerful razor-sharp leaves from the leaves on its back right at Persian.

"Fury Swipes!" Samantha countered.

Persian's claws glow white and become sharpened as the Pokémon dashes towards the razor-sharp leaves, cutting through them and then powerful swipes Ivysaur and the seed Pokémon goes down in one hit.

Domino gasped, seeing her Pokémon already down after one move as she sprinted towards Ivysaur. "Ivysaur!"

Jessie, James, and Meowth all gasped from the sidelines after what they experienced, Ivysaur getting knocked out by one move.

Jessie turns to James. "Good luck, James…"

Meowth snickers. "Yeah, good luck!"

James gulps in response. "Thanks, you two…"

"Ivysaur, return!" Domino recalls Ivysaur back in its Poké Ball, she picks up her Pokémon Egg and walks towards where her friends are. "Well James, it's your turn now to battle Samantha."

James slowly approaches the location where Domino stood from Samantha, looking at her as he pulls out a Poké Ball. "You're gonna keep your Persian in?"

Samantha nods. "Yep! Good luck, James!"

Persian lets out a battle cry. "Persian!"

James takes deep breaths before sending his Pokémon out into battle. "Koffing, I choose you!"

Koffing materializes. "Koffing!"

Samantha commands the first move this time. "Persian, use Slash!"

Persian starts running towards Koffing while its claw starts glowing white and getting sharper.

"EEP!" James shrieked before calling his move. "Koffing, use Smog!"

"Koffing!" Koffing releases a thick dark green fog that pours out of the holes covering most of the entire battlefield.

James sighs in relief. "That should save us from the attack!"

However, James spoke too soon as Persian slashed Koffing with its glowing claw even with the dark green fog surrounding the battlefield. Just like with Domino, Persian knocks out their Pokémon in one move. The fog soon clears, revealing that Koffing has fainted from the battle.

James drops to the ground in defeat and recalls Koffing with a sigh. "Koffing return…"

"I can't believe it… this Samantha girl's Persian just knocked out Domino and James' Pokémon in one move and also destroyed Meowth too…" Jessie thought to herself.

"Jessie, I think you have a huge threat for the Kanto League Tournament…" Domino stated, looking at her.

Jessie nods at Domino's statement and gulps. "You don't say…"

Even Meowth didn't have a snazzy remark to say. "I'm kinda scared right now…"

"Persian return! You did great out there!" Samantha recalls Persian back in its Poké Ball and walks up towards the gang. "That was a great battle, it's also some great training for my Persian as well." Samantha turns to Jessie. "I hope we meet in the Kanto League Tournament, Jessie!"

Jessie embarrassingly chuckles before slowly nodding from being scared. "Y-yeah, I hope we do as well, Sam."

Samantha raises an eyebrow. "What's wrong?"

"NOTHING!" Jessie immediately shouted in response. "It's just that it's my first league tournament after all, yeah, that's it!"

Samantha then nods with a smile. "Oh! I see, yeah, I had the heebie-jeebies too for a little bit after thinking about that as well, but I'm sure you're gonna get over it soon enough!"

"R-right, yeah…" Jessie responded, rubbing the back of her head.

Domino whispers to James and Meowth. "She's scared of her."

James and Meowth both nod in agreement. "Totally." "Big time."

"Well, I should get going now. It was fun battling all three of you." Samantha turns around as she starts leaving the gang before turning back around to wave goodbye at them. "Bye, guys! Good luck in the league tournament, Jessie!"

The gang all wave goodbye back to Samantha. "You too, Samantha, good luck!" Jessie replied.

As soon Samantha part ways with the gang, Domino turns to Jessie. "So Jessie, with a trainer like that in the league tournament, do you still think you have a chance to win?" Domino snickers.

"Of course I do!" Jessie replied, clutching her fist. "I just have to train even more and harder with my Pokémon now with fewer breaks!"

Meowth's eyes widened after what Jessie said. "Y-you're kidding, right?"

Jessie shakes her head no in response. "Nope! Starting tomorrow, I'm gonna train my Pokémon harder for the league tournament, that includes you, Meowth."

Meowth looks at James and grabs onto his leg. "Jimmy, please trade one of your Pokémon for me!"

James chuckles. "Sorry Meowth, but I already got a talking Pokémon!"

"Then trade your Gengar for me!" Meowth demanded.

James chuckles again and shakes his head no. "Jessie already has a Gengar!"

"And just for asking a trade, Meowth, you're going to get the most hard training experience of them all!" Jessie snickers.

Meowth gulps. "Someone please save me…"

Domino can't help but chuckle. "I'm gonna love this!"

The scene cuts to the area where the Team Rocket trio is, landing their hot air balloon and getting out with Cassidy holding up the Poké Ball they stole, not knowing it's empty. "This my friends is the Pokémon that's gonna get us on the boss' good side and possibly get promotions!"

"And finally, the rest of the Team Rocket members will recognize us as top-tier agents and take us seriously! I will finally get to date a Team Rocket chick!" Butch added.

"And maybe Giovanni will finally make me a top agent and I will live my dream instead of fantasizing about it!" Mondo also added.

Muk breaks out of its Poké Ball, causing the trio to gag and hold their noses. "Muk!"

"And maybe the boss will get some perfume…" Cassidy recalls her Muk back in its Poké Ball. "Okay, let's get a good look at our Persian now! Persian, come on out!" Cassidy throws the empty Poké Ball in the air.

The Poké Ball opens and no Persian comes out, revealing to the Team Rocket trio that the Poké Ball was empty this entire time. "Wh-where's the Persian?!" Cassidy says as she and her partners-in-crime start panicking and try to look around for the Persian, but no luck.

"Guys, I think she gave us an empty Poké Ball…" Mondo confirmed.

Cassidy and Butch stare blankly before them and Mondo sighs in defeat. "Looks like Team Rocket messed things up again…"

The scene switches to the gang walking through the route as the narrator begins speaking. "Unlucky for Team Rocket, but as our heroes continue heading to the Indigo Plateau. With Jessie knowing a strong competitor like Samantha in the league, will she worry about her being a threat, or will she make the right decision and focus more on winning? Find out as the journey continues!"

Before the episode could end, the scene cuts to where Samantha is at. She has a serious expression and starts talking differently. "No way one of those three losers could be the two that defeated Giovanni, but when I do… I'm going to take care of them for good!"
