12. Revenge

Early morning Akira woke up grudgingly. Looking at the clock which showed 8'o clock. The information from the clones was too much. Even the rest couldn't erase all the fatigue.

'This takes the phrase "Sweet dreams" to new heights' he thought.

He went up to Konan's room and knocked on the bedroom door to wake her up.

Knock! Knock!

Not getting an answer he opened the door. Not finding her in the bed he called her out and went into the dining room. He found a note on the table.

'Going to work - Konan'.

'She went to work before having breakfast looks like she is a little bit angry' he thought.

He sent the clone to the kitchen to prepare food for himself, Konan and team Ajisai. While he went to freshen up. Two hours later, after completing his work at the office, he went to the mission hall where he saw Ajisai, Fuyo and Suiren waiting for him.

"Sensei you are late!" X3

"Well as always a black cat crossed my path so I took the long way"

"You said the same thing yesterday" Fuyō complained.

"Well I took the same way" Akira replied.

"Whatever let's go we are getting late for the mission" he used water body flicker to move toward the mission hall.

"Well I don't think we can change our instructor" Fuyo said with a smirk.

"I miss Angel-Sama" Suiren sighed.

"Me too" Ajisai nodded.

"I heard that!!" Akira's voice came from far away.

"Let's go" Ajisai said and start running, Suiren and Fuyo followed.

After reaching the mission hall, he looked around for Koemi and seeing her engrossed in work he walked over to her.

"How is my princess doing today?" Akira propped his chin on his right arm palm with his elbow on the table.

"After seeing Akira-sama. I am feeling better " Koemi smiled back.

" Oh my lovely Koemi your word made my day " Akira replied.

" Akira-samaa" Koemi said shyly.

"Koemi" Akira moved his face closer.

"Akira-Sama" Koemi's face moved closer.

"Koemi" "Akira-sama"

With their face so close they could feel each other breath on their skin. The romance was high in the air. Both of them look into each other's eyes moving ever so slowly forward for a kiss.

"Cough...Cough....." Ajisai's cough broke the atmosphere.

Koemi tried to hide her face. While seeing a grin on Fuyō face and the seriousness of Ajisai.Akira just smiled wryly.

"Ahem... So Koemi what mission is available for us." Akira asked to disturb the embarrassing atmosphere.

"There are some D-rank missions for you. But there was a message left by Angel-sama, it said for you to meet her before going on a mission. She is on the fourth floor. There was also a message left by the scientific research department it said there was some success and they would like you to be there" Koemi replied.

"Okay, you three wait for me here. I will be back" Akira told the genin.

Knock! Knock!

"Come in"

Entering the office he saw Konan sitting on a chair. The table was filled up with bundles of paperwork waiting to be completed. Looking at the girl working hard he couldn't help but wonder if she was shown less in anime due to most of the time spent on boring stuff. Maybe she relieves this burden by speaking cool lines with a stoic face.

"What are you doing standing in a daze" she spoke breaking him out of his thought process.

"Sorry.....Sorry...."

"So why call me today?"

"We found out the approx. location of Otogakure. Since your team is made up of sensor ninjas. You can find the exact location. You have to check if Orochimaru is present there. The task is only Intelligence gathering, no combat is required. Here these scrolls contain the map and summoning animal for messaging." she handed him two scrolls.

"You are sending me to find a Sanin , if it's about revenge for the kiss yesterday. I am really sorry.." he hastily replied. Getting a glare from here.

"Okay. Konan-Sensei~ your disciple will fulfil your wishes as ordered but before I will take my team on a bandit extermination, you know they haven't killed anyone".

"You can take the extermination mission today. Tomorrow go for this mission."

"Yes, Yes and also this" he handed two scrolls "You didn't eat breakfast and knowing you you still don't plan to. The red one is breakfast green one is lunch"

"Ninjas are able to survive without food for a long time"

"Whatever you can take it as a student paying his respect to sensei" he handed the scroll, she reluctantly. Although her expression was stoic but he could feel that she was happy. He turned around to go outside.

"See you later, sensei"

"Take care" she said in low voice.

"Oh, I will after all we still have to get married" Hastily closing the door. He sat on the floor with his back against the gate just before three paper shuriken cut through the door from the place his torso would have been if he was standing.

"I love you too, sensei"

Dusting off the dust he starts running just enough to dodge all the paper shuriken on the hallway . Reaching downstairs he went straight to Koemi.

"Koemi can you find me an assassination mission possibly closer to the village"

"Wait a minute. We have a lot of those. Let me check" going through all the scrolls she handed one.

"It's a C-level one there have been wandering bandits they may have a chunin in their midst. They are not strong but difficult to track"

"Okay, we will take that. See you later" he kissed lightly on her cheek.

"Good luck to you. Akira-sama"

He told his three students to meet at the gate in half an hour and get ready for a fight. He dispelled the shadow clone to conserve chakra and went to the store to get cloaks for himself and his students.
