"Alex and Sergey travel to District 5. Sergey is still locked onto his laptop. "The fleets right?" asked Alex. "What about them?" asked Sergey. "What's so great about them? Why do people want it so badly. The money I understand. The fleets, that I completely do not understand," replied Alex. "What do you know about the fleets? Do you even know why we have the fleets?" asked Sergey almost losing his patience. Before Alex was about to answer. Sergey shuts his laptop and turns his full attention to Alex. "No sir, I do not have that much knowledge in the area of fleets. I just know that they are used to mine resources in the nearby planets," replied Alex. "That is precisely what they do. But do you know why they do that?" asked Sergey. Alex did not have an answer because he really did not understand the question. "I will tell you the answer, it is for the money," said Sergey. "That is the only reason we are here. And that is the only reason the fleets go up and down everyday," the Russian continued. "And that is the reason the person who ever is stealing it is doing it for that reason precisely," the Russian summarised his conclusion. "Then why had the crash occurred!" asked Alex. "That does not fit into the story you narrated?" "That I do not know," responded Sergey. "The way I see it Alex," continues Sergey in a serious tone. "Natural or supernatural there is money involved. Or there is power involved," "That I agree, we all want something," said Alex. "It was not always like this," continued Alex. "Before all this, the corporates, the new kingdoms, our new planet. There was just, there was honesty. And there was war. Lots of it!" said Alex. "Do you like war?" asked Sergey in a surprised tone. "More than I like this, more than what our planet has turned to towards," replied Alex. "And do you think we are the reason for this?" asked Sergey. "We?" asked Alex in a curious tone. "Who are we, who are you?" asks Alex again. "We are humans," replied Sergey. "The bosses, me and some more powerful people," replied Sergey. "Humans?" asked Alex. "From the planet earth, in a galaxy far far away" replied Sergey. "Why are you here?" Alex asked him. "Money," rellied Sergey in a very simplistic manner. "Just for Money?" asked Alex. "Just?" asked Sergey. "You do not the value of money. You do not know what it means to us. What it means to me," Sergey continued. He stares at Alex like only a Russian could. "When I was 10 years old I lost both my parents to a war. And nothing like the ones you one fought with. With guns and tanks and planes. It was a horrible war. The whole world was punished so that a few could gain," he continued. "Rightly so," replied Alex. "Is it not what is happening here?" he asked the Russian. "Not at all, we gave you shelter when you had none. We only take in the people who are desperate. Here in the districts. It's your choice," replied Sergey justifying his hypocritical nature like only a rich man would. "That's one way to put it," replied Alex. "The war we had, and we had a couple of them. Not by choice. We were are forced into something. And it took away our shelter, our homes, our food, my parents," said Sergey. Alex listened carefully. "And when the war was over. I was put in the streets. I roamed in the streets, trying to survive and this went for a couple of years," said Sergey. "And then one fine day, a gentleman named Romanov, he stopped by randomly against the liquor corner I was trying to get rid of the cold," said Sergey. "And then this gentlemen gave me this card. There was a job opening at a nuclear reactor," Sergeys eyes lit up more in respect of Romanov rather than the job. "A nuclear reactor? What is that asked?" asked Alex. "It's an energy converter," replied Sergey. "So yes, I took this job at the nuclear reactor. I got it fairly easy. Because no one else wanted it. You could die of radiation. A form of poison," said Sergey. "I had this job for years. Where I had to get rid of the nuclear waste. I worked hard, really hard and I climbed up the ladder. As decades passed I was put in charge of Uranium and Plutonium. Tracking and purchasing, sometimes hunting for it," said Sergey. "Uranium is a mineral that is very rare and it's main component of a nuclear reactor," the Russian further added. "Then, said Sergey," as the suspense began to grip Alex. "Then, what happened," asked Alex hurriedly. "There was no uranium left for us. And then began our search all around the galaxy and the galaxies far away. For over a decade we found nothing," said Sergey. "And then we finally we got lucky, we landed here in your planet. And there was Plutonium all around, everywhere," said Sergey. "We have the mineral here?" asked Alex. "Lots, lots and lots of it," replied Sergey. "Does the planets neighbouring have the mineral as well," asked Alex. "No, unfortunately not," replied Sergey. "Then why are the fleets going up in rockets to other neighbouring planets to mine the minerals," asked Alex. "I will tell you this Alex because you have a very trusting face. There is nothing up there. In those planets. It's all a cover up. While everyone is looking up at the skies, we are digging underground and taking all the plutonium," replied Sergey. Alex was astounded to what he was hearing. "And the great floods of District 8?" asked Alex. "That was due to a reactor here, it blew up and we had to use large amounts of water. We opened the nearby dam so that the people would think it was a disaster of nature and not by us," said Sergey with no empathy. "That is evil," replied Alex whose personal life was intertwined with the great floods. The misery and pain he saw in the eyes of the people dislodged by the floods loomed large in his memory. And to think this was all caused for some unknown mineral that the people of Andora had no use for. That angered him even more! "That is money," replied Sergey. Alex retreated to deep silence as he was in no position to get angry
