(Vol 2) CHAPTER - 2 { Disaster Arrived }

In the gymnasium, Vlad took in breaths while his eyes closed. He was resting after an intense workout.

Rose was still performing pull ups with weights tied to her waist and ankles. In the room, many more soldiers were working out.

The gymnasium Vlad and Rose were in, wasn't a private property of any Regiments. So, there were soldiers from all three Regiments.

"Excuse me. You are Vlad right?"

Vlad opened his eyes and looked up at the person's face in front of him.

Short black bob cut hairstyle, long neck, lean body with the required muscles fully in view.

Wearing a black sports bra, and black joggers with two white stripes on the sides, Hope smiled at Vlad.

"Do you still remember me?"

She asked curiously. Vlad thought for a second before nodding his head to her.

"Thank god you do! It would have been embarrassing if you had forgotten."

Hope sat next to Vlad, there were still some beads of sweats flowing down on her heated abs. It seems that she stopped exercising not long ago.

"From the Survey Corps?"

Hope glanced at Vlad before thinking of asking a simple question to start a conversation.

"Yes. And you should be from the Garrison Regiment."

Hearing Vlad already finished talking about her, Hope gave a shaking smile to him. Looks like her plan to converse with Vlad failed.

"Ha ha…"

Hope felt that the atmosphere was turning very awkward and uncomfortable. Thankfully, Rose walked in just time.

"Water."

Rose extended her left hand towards Vlad, who passed on a water bottle to her.

Hope stared at Rose, her eyes showed a bright light as Rose's appearance was truly beautiful.

She imagined in her mind and compared her body with Rose's to find that in some parts she lost by slight difference.

"You are?"

Rose looked at Hope. It was her first time getting to meet Hope so she didn't know of her existence.

"My name is Hope. Nice to meet you."

"Oh. I am Rose."

Hope stood up and shook hands with Rose. As they exchanged greetings, Rose learned about Hope's encounter with Vlad.

"Hey, have you two heard of the secret group in the three Regiments?"

Hope said in a low voice to Vlad and Rose, she looked around and checked whether someone had heard her.

"Who?"

Rose and Vlad weren't aware of this at all. Hope nodded in satisfaction as she could finally start a conversation with these two.

"Nobody knows if it's true or not but the words did spread about it. That there is a secret group formed of soldiers from all the three Regiments."

Listening to Hope, Vlad showed an interested look on his face while Rose leaned forward to hear better.

"Lots of money had vanished from the locks of the three Regiments in the last two years. It is said that this work is done by that secret group."

Hope completed the story, Vlad and Rose wanted to know more but Hope herself didn't know much and had already shared everything.

'A secret group… But why?'

Vlad narrowed his eyes as he pondered in intense thoughts. Rose was also the same, Hope was immediately hurt by the two.

"Damn it! I failed yet again."

Hope murmured in her breath. She shifted her gaze from Rose to Vlad.

Just as she was about to speak, a soldier came running in the gymnasium with a serious expression.

"Are soldiers Vlad and Rose here?"

The soldier asked in a loud voice which attracted the attention of all the soldiers in the gymnasium.

"Yes, we are here."

Rose stood up and answered the soldier. Vlad also got up and showed himself to the soldier.

"Captain Levi has called for you two in the headquarters."

The soldier said with a solemn face. Rose tightened her brows, then turned to look at Vlad.

"Let's go."

Vlad walked out of the gymnasium together with the soldier and Rose towards the Survey Corps Headquarters.

Survey Headquarters___

Vlad wore his soldier's uniform, and geared himself up with the new and modified ODM gear.

Setting his hair towards the back with hair gel, Vlad stepped out of his room to find Rose already waiting for him.

"Wall Rose has been breached."

Rose explained the situation, Vlad nodded. They walked down the stairs towards the horse stable to get their horses.

"It is getting more and more difficult to fight Titans. And with Wall Rose breached, only Wall Sina is left."

Rose gritted her teeth in frustration, her home was inside Wall Sina so she had the right to be anxious.

In her family, only her mother and a little sister were left. Her father died when she was 5 years old and her little sister was just born.

If someday, even Wall Sina was breached by the Titan and her family was killed. Rose won't be able to live.

"Don't be nervous. We were trained for keeping cool in these kinds of situations."

Vlad wasn't flustered in the slightest. What could he even fear? His family? They were dead. His friends? They could fight for their own lives. His own life? Vlad didn't care as long as he was satisfied by his death.

It was night time and torches were lit up to light the place. They soon reached the horse stable, Eren, Mikasa and Armin were standing with their horses.

"Rose, Vlad, did you hear about the situation?"

Armin asked to confirm. Rose gestured that they were already informed.

"Problems after problems. Titans keep on coming and coming."

Eren was a little angry as well as confused. How and when did the Titan manage to breach Wall Rose?

"Rose, what do you think?"

Eren asked with a question look on his face to Rose. If there was someone similar to Armin in smartness and knowledge, it would be Rose.

"Mostly like another human who can transform into a Titan. I don't think normal Titans can climb over the Wall or dig the ground."

Rose replied in a straightforward manner. Armin didn't agree or disagree with Rose. There was a high chance that she was correct.

"There's a bigger problem than Wall Rose being breached. It is that, how many more are there who can transform into Titans. And are they on Humanity's side?"

Rose said seriously as she and Vlad brought out their horses from inside the horse stable.

The group walked towards the gate, following the soldiers of the Survey Corps.

Hundreds of soldiers gathered with their horses and luggages. Eren, Mikasa and Armin were later ordered by Commander Erwin to stay in the carriage.

Vlad and Rose went to the front and stayed behind Erwin as assigned.

"Open the gate!"

A soldier shouted. The huge gate made of wood and metal, was lifted up slowly.

The hundreds of soldiers with fire torches, gulped in their saliva as they were about to venture into Wall Rose.

Titans were coming inside Wall Rose!

"The situation within Wall Rose is unclear. But everything up until Ehrmich is safe. We'll save time going through there."

Commander Erwin handled his horse and looked at the soldiers with a serious expression.

"Move out!"

"Yes, sir!"

With his orders, all the soldiers rushed their horses out of Wall Sina.

Vlad and Rose riding their horses, followed behind Erwin closely. The loud noise of the horses' stomps made the civilians inside Wall Sina nervous.
