"Ten thousand soldiers are outside the school. Is everything alright?" Jamal asked.
Asim looked at him, his blue eyes seemed to pierce every layer of flesh. "Jamal, you have changed."
A tendril of fear ran through Jamal's spine before vanishing. It had been more than a year since he transmigrated and he had completely assimilated the memories and remaining subconscious of the original owner. This included his deep settled trust in Yemi, this person would never hurt him.
In fact, it was much deeper than that. Yemi would rather go against Odin, the lord they had served for thousands of years than betray him, and it was the same for him as well. What they had both gone through, people could never fully imagine or understand. It was physically impossible for him to betray Yemi, it was like an instinct engraved in his vein.
"I have. Isn't it a good thing?" Jamal asked him.
