Astral looked around with Jaimie as they admired the printing on the ground, the lines constantly crossing like chaos. "What is this?" Jaimie asked.
"I dunno, this is new." Astral looked around as he saw the robots building up on the outside of the light dome.
"Ah, this feels weird. Like it's boosting everything I know." Jaimie clenched her fist as her spear rattled ready for battle. Astral dropped the shield as the masses came in and directed their new weapons at the two of them.
Astral saw the laser beams as he dodged them. The bombardment striked the ground around them as neither Jaimie or Astral were still there. Jaimie sparked the ground as her spear glided across the metal on the ground. The fire that absorbed the half she took melted the buildings as the molten metal flooded the area.
Astral sliced through all of the robots in one slice with his Murasama. The field of robots fell all at once. Sparks started to come from them as Astral had a moment of panic. Striking the ground instantly, sending the robot flying far from him.
Astral and Jaimie stood back to back watching as even more robots came up. They all held different weapons. "Those look deadly." Jaimie spoke as they opened fire on the two. Smoke filled the air as Astral had his hands raised.
"Hardlight cutters." Astral clapped as the shards of hard light shredded through the robots in front of him. Their bullets pieced the first layer of his defense but failed to penetrate through his barrier spell. Two claps happened in quick succession. "I modified the spells to trigger on claps. Snapping is hard in the suit of armor." Astral smiled as Jaimie giggled.
Astral waved his arms out as he cleared the area of the robotic bodies. Taking down several of the surrounding buildings with the carcasses from the robots. It became a one sided massacre. Astral and Jaimie overlooked the area as more robots came to flood the area. "Hopefully your little plan is working." Jaimie spoke as Astral waved his hands above the two of them.
"Why of course, I am putting more trust into others than I used to." Astral created a snow cloud above them as snowflakes slowly filled the air. The two of them giggled and embraced each other. Each robot that touched a flake became frozen solid.
"Adam you clumsy fuck, you better explain whats going on!" Anders shouted as she stormed into the bridge.
Airsoft peeks over the couch as the bridge becomes flooded with people. "Fuck, Adam don't give into them." He slips down back onto the couch as Proto and Omaha approach him.
"Listen everyone, Astral is taking down a high level threat with the assistance of Jaimie. I was ordered to have no others follow him." Adam started to creep backwards from everyone swarming him.
The twins sat down on the couch adjacent to Airsoft as they watched the TV. They knew there was a reason why they weren't brought along for this battle. Proto and Omaha block Airsoft's view of the TV as he sighs.
"We wanna go fight alongside those two!" Proto and Omaha yelled to Airsoft as Achilles finally entered the bridge. Airsoft sat up looking to the two.
"No."
"Why not? We are both trained enough to keep up with those robots!" Proto and Omaha spoke as Airsoft rolled his eyes.
"Both of you are worse when together, it drives me nuts." They were shocked by his words, even if they were right. "You won't change my mind." Airsoft kept paying attention to the TV 'Please finish your mission faster Astral.'
The two of them scoffed as they went over to Adam as he was being smacked by a newspaper from Anders. "Explain to me all what Astral is doing!" Adam took the beating as Achilles stayed back.
"No, if he tells you that's up to him. I can't tell you what he is currently doing." Adam snapped at her, Anders took a half step back as Zane, Sal and Jax stepped in front of her. "Before you three ask, no you cannot go and help Astral."
"Why not, as a general in this alliance I can override your rule with enough support." Zane spoke, showing the contract.
"This rule wasn't from me. It was from Astral." Airsoft echoed through the bridge.
"Adam, if you were to make a device that could transport all of us, would you let us use it?" Achilles softly asked in the back.
"No." Adam spoke as he prepped the fastest ship in the fleet in case they needed an evacuation plan from that planet.
"Let us go there please!" Carolina begged as Hawaii gave him puppy dog eyes.
"No." Adam looked up and away from them all. He couldn't break Astral's trust.
"All in favor for going and helping Astral?" Nevada asked: Proto, Omaha, James, Angel, Zane, Sal, Jax, Minnesota, Mississippi, Carolina, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Utah and Achilles raised their hands.
"The votes are in, we want to go and you can't stop us." Achilles echoed to Adam as Airsoft jumped in front of Adam.
"NO FIGHTING IN THIS AREA!" Kayla shouted as Airsoft's armor flared to life, ready to fight the other sixteen people on the bridge. Adam ripped the page out of his notebook.
"If you die, and Astral kills me, I will kill all of you in hell." Adam tossed the paper to the ground as it formed into a giant sphere. Everyone rushed inside of it as Achilles approached Adam.
"I will keep an eye on them." Achilles told Adam and Airsoft as he entered the pod.
"Oh great, that fills me with so much confidence." Adam spoke lackluster as Airsoft looked over.
"I'm going with to make sure I can keep Astral calm. By that I mean give him and Jaimie time together while I babysit." Airsoft smiled as his helmet vanished to show his smile. Adam sighed in relief as Airsoft hopped in.
"Be careful, you may feel sick after this happens." Adam pressed the button on the side, warping them all to the planet as the shuttle was sent to pick them up from the planet. "Godspeed Astrid. Zeta, go all out." Adam looked into the emptiness as the only people who could handle it are Airsoft and Achilles for now.
The pod arrived as Jaimie and Astral looked over to it, the faces of everyone inside of the dome shocked the two. "Adam, we told you not to." Astral pulled out his magnum as he shot the bots away from the pod.
Airsoft shouted from inside the pod. "It wasn't his idea, he was put between everyone else and you, he and I both felt like we shouldn't have came here."
"Why did you then?" Jaimie yelled as the robots swarmed the pod. She threw her shield at the robots as it sawed through them. They didn't have much of a choice. The pod was crumbling slowly as the people inside couldn't survive the vacuum of space.
Jaimie surrounded the pod in a fiery inferno as Astral jumped up clapping. His hands overlapped as he overlooked the area and took in the scene before him. The circle standing before his feet rather than the ground it was at. "Transmutation: Oxidize." He clapped as he turned the materials in the planet into a full atmosphere across the twenty trillion square miles.
Astral slowly started drifting downwards as Jaimie caught him. His magical circle vanished as Achilles charged to attack Jaimie and Astral. Airsoft had barriers in place to have the two of them not be disturbed. "You fcuking moron, you think that's a fair fight?"
Achilles turned to Airsoft. "Why of course, the most powerful person should still have plenty in the tank." Airsoft rolled his eyes as he turned away from the disrespectful. Achilles charged him as he was angered that anyone would turn his back on him.
"Proto and Omaha, stay out of this battle and lead James and Angel around, help them with their abilities. Dogpound, take two of the other sides and leave the clone trio to take the last." Airsoft reached behind him knowing Achilles was pouncing on him.grabbing his attacking hand and slamming him into the steel ground locking him down with wires from his suit.
The others all watched this as they turned away and listened. James tried to use his ability as it failed on the robots that have no soul. "Oh shit." James looked up at the huge metal paw about to crush him.
