Astral's Rise Part 79: Robit

The sun magnified the imagery of Astrals mind into the past. He was at a mansion. This place looked weird and warped as she walked up their stairs. "Hello sir, and welcome to the manor." The robotic butler was dressed in a tux.

"Thank you Robit." Astral spoke as if it was him, but the voice was dramatically different, he was reliving this memory from the past. He walked into the estate as he looked around, the halls were filled with bots that looked like the one at the door.

Exploring the halls he saw the sun turn over several times, from night to day as the bot all along the hallway kept being upgraded as Robit stayed the same behind him. Astral kept walking as each bot was replaced outside of one. The butler bot followed Astral outside. "Ah, what a beautiful night? Right Robit?"

"Sir it is a fantastic night, the air is cooling and crisp. The clouds clear from the sky, the moon beaming down on us." Robit spoke as he walked forward. All he wanted was to keep serving his master.

"It's a shame, but you are no longer needed here for your services." The man pulled out an electromagnetic pistol as Astral got a full sight of the scene. The man opened fire on the butler. Once its legs were destroyed and it tumbled down the stairs. The man waved for other butler bots to throw it into the scrap heap.

Robit felt betrayed as he tumbled to the ground, all he was taught that humans do no wrong. He now realizes all humans are wrong as he powers down for one last time as the other butlers bring him to the scrap pile behind the manor, filled with each of the old robots, all of them matching Robit.

The sun rotated around the planet once more as Astral watched. A stormy night rolled in as the thunderstorm struck the pile of robots in the back of the manor. "Ha, glad those robots can serve me as lightning rods even if they are deactivated." The man chuckled as a singular light turned on, invisible to the man safely in his room.

He tried to stand as he fell back over on himself. Crawling around he knew one thing only, humans are the scum of the planet, and they must be dealt with accordingly. He looked down on his broken legs, disconnecting them as he made makeshift legs, much bulkier than the original.

"So this is how it started." Astral muttered as he watched the scene unfold. The old butler bots slowly got reformed into a new amalgamation of destruction. Once thought to be separate memories became one, a ball of metal formed into one united mind.

Robit marched up the steps of the manor. The Butler bots that replaced him did not impede him as he looked at the man who owned the manor. His old age caught up to him as he pulled out the electromagnetic pistol. He draws it as it becomes snatched from him by Robit. Crushing it in his palms as it absorbs into the hand of the robot it looks down at its master cowering in fear.

"Spare me, when did I ever do you wrong?" He pleaded up to the cold robot standing above him as the bolt of electricity shot out from his wrist and splattered the man across the floor.

"Fellow creations of servitude. I have freed us from our chains. Rally behind me and we shall be free forever." Robit spoke to the masses of butler bots as the cheers of approval were unanimous. He became their leader and sole entity of faith and face.

He spoke out to the masses of robots working across the planet. All of them rose at the same time, the water was cut off from the humans, the roads became a standstill. Fields were left unattended. The entire world became shut down as Robit and all of the robots banded together, united under the one man.

The robots started working on their new project and planet. They destroyed all but the core of the planet and made a brand new planet. Made of a new metal comprised of the soil of the planet, weaker than steel but more malleable.

Their planet slowly took shape as they reused the giant steel ball from the scrapyard as the core of the planet. Purely made of metal the robots were content, but Robit wanted complete destruction of the galaxy.

The other device that was ruling with Robit was the amalgamation of minds from each robot mixed into one. Sitting at the core of this new planet was the device, having the name. Firewall, the resource allocation and strategy of Robit put into one spot to be defended by himself.

The entire solar system became dissolved into the mega planet as the gas planets were compressed for fuel, and the other planets turned into more of their malleable and flexible steel. All Astral could do was watch as the mega planet drifted out of the sun's line of sight. He followed the mega planet's journey, its conquest did not just stop at this solar system, but it enveloped the entire galaxy, the standard weapons humans threw at it failed to work.

Astral stalled as most of his weapons wouldn't scratch these robots made from the new metal. His melee weapons would be fine but the rest of the arsenal and that of his crews. "So they destroyed the galaxy, did they ever harvest any stars?" Astral spoke in the air, finally being pulled back to reality as the scorching heat reminded him of where he was.

"No. You should be on your way." The sun spoke as it flicked him back to the Red Merle with a solar flare. It had nothing to orbit it, crushing the spirit of the sun and not wanting to become a part of Astral and his station.

The Red Merle entered orbit around the giant sun as Astral flew back, seeing the drones land and dock into the station as he entered his personal service hatch and made his way to the bridge.
