Advent of Astral Part 32: Advancement

However, that wasn't Astrals main priority. His goal was simple. He wanted to finish important technical advancements. He made an upgraded suit of battle armor. He felt like it was needed to have extra mobility.

The first one would have done fine in space if it weren't for the fact that it was all based off of non fission reactors. He wanted a more stable way to power his suit and any attachments to the suit.

He wanted something to be a sentient guardian over him, so introducing his first high class invention. Astral's Paws, it allows for a defensive use for blocking, or it can use its boosters to allow for tight maneuvers, allowing for flight and tight rolls.

But this wasn't the first of its kind, the first one was meant as a glider and stabilizer in space, this one was all about combat and to help him out, running on the same internal reactor inside of his new suit. He would continually brainstorm new ideas for his suit, filling it with gadgets that would be helpful for him in any scenario.

He would design another suit for Jaimie and an organizational overhaul inside of his pocket dimension. Loading up his arsenal and ammunition and inventions all in the same spot, being the last upgrade he had for himself.

The biggest help he got was finishing his Android. Astrid, while the frame was complete, he has a couple of other things to work out. Such as the fluids and hydraulics working to their fullest capacity. He wanted her to be a well polished machine in order to be considered perfect in his point of view.

She was his main project, his magnum opus for the moment, he would be working on a machine of warfare on the backburner. His crowning project was a mech that could change between three different sizes. But it had a lot of work to be fully operational.

Like how it could transition between the three sizes with certain commands? How it would be powered, what type of weapons would suit it? The programming was easy enough the baseline of their programming would be already solved, their personalities could be grown into, the fine details they could mesh out themselves. But needs a little bit more of a kickstart.

The problem with the two of them is getting them to move, and for the mech, change between three different sizes. He would figure out the hydraulic works and slowly create the more applicable uses for it all, rather than base it off of older tech. He wanted to see what it would all be capable of if he put in as much work as possible.

The answer, two machines with microscopic robots as a part of their fluid, allowing it to patch any holes or even rebuild the frame of the two when need be. Both of these could take serious damage, with the fluid it would repair it as long it had enough. Astral would also work on a heavier alloy than titanium as the base of the two.

Wanting to make them durable beyond armor shredding bullets, when he tested his sniper against the alloy, it would bounce off. The armor had a slightly reflective property when it came to projectiles, meaning blunt force damage would be the thing to cause them any real damage.

He would keep up his creative flow as he made a companion for Astrid, a robotic cat named Nyan, transforming between a cat, laptop or sword. As for the mech, Astral worked nonstop on the weapons for it.

The value that he put into each of these lasted a lifetime. All of his time became dedicated to the technological development of the superweapons he was arming his mech with. While he tested these weapons a gleaming smile from success would be seen as he would keep forward working the development of the mech itself in order for it to function.

The physics he put into question would marvel even himself. With the unequal energy outputs he would slowly figure out more and more scientific breakthroughs. He only wished he was doing them in a smoother fashion. It was a choppy pace for him and Anders as the two of them pushed for the goal to overhaul the science behind what has been created.

Between that and Jaimie now learning closely from the two of them it led to the three of them growing closer. Their interactions went from supervisor and the watched to a full blooded friendship.

"Anders, one of these times we need to test out your abilities and compare them to us, I promise we'd make it fun for you." Astral snarkily speaking would keep working on the perfection of the issue he had with overheating.

"Even then, we could celebrate after and have a good time as Astral cooks some of his famous fish and ribs? Have a relaxing time for the rest of the night?" Jaomoe tagged in with Astral to get Anders to partake in the tests.

"If I do it, you two both better reward me well." She would sigh. "Even then compared to you two I am nothing special." She would add in as the tests would be tomorrow.

"Well, sleep on it and join us if you want. The technology that we use to track us is all automatic. You don't have to baby it and watch for errors." Astral would add on as he would lie on the couch.

"Fine, I'll do it under one condition. You two are mine for the next week. I have several tests that I want to run and several labs that I also need to do. I need your help with testing them and just need your DNA for it in the first place." She would rattle off and get them to agree on it.

The next day came and they all went into the pocket dimension. They would let Anders go first, her speed was slightly under ten miles an hour at a full sprint. Her reaction times were close to one hundred milliseconds. For her strength tests, she had a hard time with their standard one hundred pound bar. She was able to complete three reps of each with the bar before being drained. Astral's and Jaimie's tests only went upward.

"See Anders, not so bad now was it?" Astral had a beaming smile as he got lightly smacked from Anders.

"Now for your part of the deal, you are both mine. Astral get to cooking." She demanded him to get started. She would look over to Jaimie. "My dear lady, could you come carry me around for the rest of the night." Jaimie would scoop her up.

"So, you are going to enjoy this?" Jaimie would ask her carried companion.

"It'll be the most lovely week of my life." Anders would smile as she started to show Jaimie the tests needed to be done though the week's time.

Astral would have the meal ready by the time Jaimie and Anders came back. They would all feast on the food and enjoy themselves. For the rest of the week, Anders would test them and their bloodwork, DNA and densities of certain muscles. They tested it all. Anders would come up with genome sequences that worked out.

"Astral, your genome is similar to Jaimie's. Outside of the differences in both of your anatomy. The genome stays the same with the sequence in your DNA right here." She would show the genome to the two of them. It was exactly the same.

"So does that mean that we figured out what it is?" Astral asked.

"Well, yeah. This is what makes you each your own." Anders demonstrated. "Your genome and Jaimie's in this segment line up exactly the same, the micro-difference is this one segment right here." She pointed to a little two segment chunk.

"The difference is that your two segments are colored differently than hers, I theorize this chunk is what makes your powers unique. The pocket dimension and absorption for you and attraction and succubus for Jaimie."

"Huh, this seems like it will work well for keeping us safe." Astral would work on developing a genome blocker.
