Craving

It was breathtaking. As soon as Ashley gave me the letter, I ran with it towards my room. My heart was beating so fast that I could feel the rhythm. The more I read the more I got goosebumps.

Reading that over and over again, I felt the sense of being loved. That was new. That was beautiful.

After getting back into my senses, I went out of the room. Ashley was on our laptop typing something. It was her turn to use that. She gave me a naughty look.

"Love is in the air." she sang with a grin on her face.

"Shut up!" I was trying hard to act normal but failed.

"Ash! I can't tell you how happy I am". I whispered with contentment.

" You don't need to tell, I can see it on your face." I was blushing by God.

"Come on! you are my bro. Feel free to share what's inside." she was sounding so mature as she knew what I wanted to listen to.

"I am just afraid Ashley!" I mostly call her by her full name when I was going to share something special.

'We never know when we will meet again. Till then how am I going go to manage without seeing or talking to her? I am craving for her face, her voice. I am missing her so much." I sounded disappointed.

"Well! I missed her too, after all, she is my best friend. But I don't have an issue like you because I have her email id and I can mail her whenever I want. By the way, I was just writing an email to her about handing over the letter to you so that she got satisfied." she was talking like an announcer and smiling over my changing expressions.

"You have her email id?" my eyes popped out.

"Yes! but, you know, to get something, you have to pay something. And I am craving a blueberry cheesecake right now. So may you please go and get that for me." she faked a cute face that I was hating then.

"You blackmailer!" I ran after her.

"Sorry, not sorry." she dashed towards our parent's room.
