Came Upon

I don't remember my first visit to my home town. But how Can I forget the second one?

I was a little chubby boy. Mozzarella cheese on a bread slice was one of my favourite snacks. I was either eating or playing video games on my PS4. That was life! Those were the days!

It was just me and my younger sister. We often went out with our grandfather to historical places or theme parks. Life was good. But it was going to be even better.

"Who is She, Ashley?" I asked my sister.

A little girl wearing an elegant frock with a silk scarf around her neck was there, right in front of me.

"She is Hannah. She lives in our neighbourhood." Ashley told me. "She is new here. And guess what I have made a friend." Ashley was really bad at making friends so She was really happy about that achievement.

"Would you like to join us?" Hannah asked me.

And I could not reply. I was spellbound by her sweet voice. What was that! I could not figure it out then. But now, I know, what was that. It is called "Love at First Sight".

Each day, she came to see Ashley. They both used to play together and often asked me to join them. But I never did so. They were 'girls' and I was a 'boy'. How could I play such stupid home games?

I was always on my PS4. They used to consider that I might be playing but that was not true. I was just sitting idle, holding the game handles, keeping an eye on them. Keeping an eye on Hannah.

Time flew and we went back. But how could I forget those teary eyes, upset at the departure time? " I am going to miss you so much." She hardly said to Ashley.

"And I am going to miss You so much, Hannah."

My heart whispered to my ears.
