As Silent As A Mouse

I am being hunted. Well, not me exactly. Someone wants to get their hands on the genius behind A.M.K Pharmaceuticals. They just don't know it's me. I have discovered a way to negate anyone's scent, shifter or human. You would think it wouldn't be that big of a deal... deodorants promise the same thing, but my product is nothing like that. My product turns its wearers invisible to shifters. No, not like that. But shifters need scent more than almost anything else to identify and find a person. Without scent, they can't track down their prey, or smell an enemy coming up from behind. I had originally created it so my adopted father and I could avoid the shifter community. No one was supposed to know about it. Until a little birdy said something they shouldn't have to the wrong person. Now the humans are after me and the shifters want me dead. But that's fine. That wasn't the only thing I came up with. And if I am as silent as a mouse, no one will see me coming until it is too late. This will be a RH novel, the FMC will not have to choose. They Made Their Beds

After letting the guards know that my pack was safe, I quickly jumped in the shower. Seeing as I couldn't remember how long it had been since I had washed up, I thought it would be a good idea to be somewhat presentable.

"Ah, if it isn't the best Alpha in the world," called out Scarlet as I entered the main living room of the penthouse. Everything was done in modern tones, and I couldn't decide if I liked all of the white and grey tones.

But that was beside the point. "My brain isn't working right now," I grunted, sitting down on the sectional as Caleb brought me a cup of hot chocolate. It took me a few minutes to realize that Julia, Kristen, and Lily had arrived with the redhead. Was that an insult?"

"Far from it," chuckled Julia as she sat down beside her bother. "It's kind of nice being treated like an adult."
