Chapter 34: Selecting Academy

There are three prominent academy at the capital.

But one of the academy instead of famous is however infamously stood out among the three. The reason for it being that if a hundred student enroll, almost half of the student drop out, cursing the school for being inhumane and then they enroll instead in the other two academy.

Dropout as in there is one week probation period. The students who enroll are given a chance to stay or leave the academy after staying in the academy for a week. The reason that student drop out was because the students who enroll in the academy is treated badly, not even treating them as good as a beast.

Well, that's what the dropout student said and whether it rings true were point to contemplate by oneself.

But it was this academy with the most infamous reputation that manage to produce geniuses after genius as compared to the other two academy, however, that does not mean the other two academy is inferior in anyway. They are as superior as the infamous academy as well. Having more students and also not failing to produce a genius as well.

And Yuna knowing all this decide to enroll at the infamous academy. Not for anything else but for the academy who can accept all, be it a slum children or student who has no whatsoever high education. As long as one awakened, they dare to accept anyone.

Whether one awakened a darkness ability or curse ability, they accept all.

In this regard, the Lalrem Empire is more open in religious matter and dare to accept all kind. It was not like the Elysian Kingdom that abhor darkness and accept only light. But the God of Light did infiltrate many corner of the world.

Light God followers are numerous in Lalrem Empire as well.

Of the three Academy in Lalrem empire, One is closely tied to God of Light and the other God of Eternal Night. It was only the infamous Academy that is neutral but inclusive of all.

Both the academy are very strict in their student enrollment and even though Yuna has her master token, she is not interested in the two academy. At a glance, she can tell that the two Academy is going to be hierarchical. It reminds her of her previous strict, astringent school…..it doesn't leave a very good memory.

Let her check out the infamous academy that she actually has not surprisingly a good feeling for.

There are a lot of rules and regulation in the prospectus of the two famous academy but the prospectus of the infamous academy has little, almost negligible rules and regulation. It means, even if Yuna was to slack off, she won't necessarily be punished. But....the lack of rules and regulation means there is a high chance of lawlessness and the safety of the student became a concerning aspect.

The other two academy however won't permit a slacker although more secure when concerning safety.

Yuna want to enroll in an academy to only learn more things about the world and not to really become someone outstanding. She is such a lazy person, there is no way she can handle the pressure of having to learn desperately under strict regime.

"Austin, which academy you want to enroll?"

Well, getting the main character opinion when choosing school to enroll is good. His protagonist halo and intuition might tell something.

That is what she thought but instead of answering, he asked back a question "Which academy do you choose Yuna?"

Ughh….Why did she even bother to ask. Yuna lips quirk up with a hint of malevolence. Of course, this clingy idiot will choose whichever she chooses. What use is he, really?

Although Yuna does not remember the content of the novel of which academy Austin choose, Yuna firmly believe that he will choose the infamous academy, it was nothing else but the academy daring to admit student of any background.

Not wanting to have the trouble of tangling in second thought of which academy will be the best, Yuna close the pamphlet of the three academy. Out of sight, out of mind.

People who have to work early started to fill the road, although not many but pedestrian can be started to be seen.

One of the knights who patrol on the morning rub his stomach that started to protest of hunger. As he thought of what he might buy to fill in his empty stomach, an enticing sweet fragrant fill his nose. Moving his gaze, his eyes fell on the pastries shop that read 'Chillax café' on the board. A pastries shop name that sound quite.....unique.

Putting his complicated thought away, the knight walk towards the pastries shop and open the glass door.

Ding—

A bell that was hung at the top of the door chime when the door was opened and the aromatic smell that fill in his senses became more prominent.

The inside of the shop appear cozy, with potted plants, a table and a seat. There is also a cabinet that was filled with books. It seems, one can read a book while eating their pastries in leisure.

He has not seen this kind of decoration and ambience in any other pastries shop.

The knight curious as to what they sell walk towards the counter

A gentle looking woman sits at the counter, greeting him with a gentle smile.

"What would you like to order?" The woman asked, her voice soft making one not feel awkward ordering for the first time.

"Is those name and picture what the shop offer?" The Knight asked, looking behind the woman.

There are various names of pastries and drink accompanied with what it look like on the board. Every picture looks tempting. Most of them he has not seen before.

"Yes, you can take your time and decide what you want to order"

"Hmmm…" The knight rubs his chin, contemplating on what he would like to try first, at last, he choose a pastries called 'Crème Brulee' and a drink called 'Cappuccino'

The knight took it on a table and gave it a try.

Tentatively, he gave it a try.

Once it enters his mouth, the taste seems to melt in his tongue, the caramel and custard filling his mouth. A look of content appears on his face. The cozy atmosphere inside the café adding more to his comfortable feeling.

'Its' not bad to come here often and relax' The knight thought.

Once he is done eating and was about to get out of the door, he look back and the gentle looking woman and said with a serious face "I will bring my companion next time"

A way of helping in marketing.

The woman smile became even more benign "Thank you kindly" she said and gave a slight bow at the knight who has an imposingness of a knight on him.

Once the knight leave the pastries store, the back door open and a girl who look around 14 years of age came out. Her pale face having a surprised expression "Customer coming so early!"

"It should be a knight having morning patrol" The woman said.

"I see…although this is the first day we open a shop, we seem to be blessed to have a customer right away" Yuna said having a pleased expression.

Aunt Mela nod her head "The knight say that he will bring his companion when he comes again, lets' hope he do so"

"Good Person, free publicity" Yuna praised.

Looking around the inside of the café, Yuna felt satisfied. The cozy ambience and the way it was decorated is just to her liking, her dream if she were to open a café.

Yuna has ordered a custom made coffee making machine, she gave a few short description on how she will like the machine to work and the mages who take on the work are quite brilliant, able to catch on what she envisioned on how the machine should work.

Anyway, they can make toys with many functions, making a simple coffee grinding machine especially with the help of magic is of child play to them. That is why the price is not very high.

And actually, it was Austin who gave a more concrete view on how the coffee making machine should look like and works making the mages who take the order have a clearer picture of the coffee making machine. She was not a mechanic, how would she be able to know precisely on how the coffee making should work.

All she knows is how to used the finished product. Pressing a few button is not hard.

When it comes to naming pastries, Yuna was afraid of being exposed when naming the pastries and so she asked the opinion of Austin on what will fit the name of the pastries. She did try to give a new name but when it comes to naming food…..err…she…she is not very…hmm….

After she try naming one of the pastries, Austin who was very supportive of her giving a new name decisively took over the role of naming the pastries.

She try to name Crème Brulee as Crum Crum, forget about Austin, even Yuna felt weird saying 'I want to eat Crum Crum'.

Aside from naming people, Yuna is illiterate naming other things.

For example, their café name 'Chillax Café'.

Her grandfather was fine with everything, Austin don't want to take over when it comes to naming the store much less Aunt Mela, so, Yuna took the burden of naming the new store. Their shop in Huin town does not have a name so Yuna does not have the luxury of copying the predecessor.

Since she wants a café where people can relax and chill, the name 'Chillax' was born.

"…."

Thinking of more things she can add to the café, another bell rag indicating that a customer have yet enter Chillax Café once again.

Yuna look up and her eyes met with a pale blue eyes.

The person who came in the café is very beautiful, a woman with black hair that is slightly curly, her entire demeanor cold and distant.

The woman slightly raises her brow and said towards Yuna "Not greeting your Master?"

Yuna became dazed when the beautiful woman talk to her, after much struggle she blurted out "Old hag!"

And so, the reunion of Yuna with her master is of Yuna receiving a hard knock on her forehead.
