Chapter 11 Plot deviate

Yuna desperately strain her ears listening to the conversation between the man and woman.

She regretted letting curiosity taking the best of her when she was doing her daily practice of intensifying the heat of her fire. She could not play ignorance even if she wants to now.

Because they live near the forest and because her hearing has become much sharper such that she could hear things from miles away as if it were right next to her, she hears a faint murmuring near the forest and thought which people would hang out inside the forest at night and decides to sneak a listen to the conversation.

It was really not because she want to hear the sound of a man and woman doing an inexplicable thing. Really!

It has been four days since the expedition of Moonlit Orchid started and Yuna thought that some people started to come back. Really!

She is quite concern about Austin and...her master.

Austin has deviated from the plot because of her and Yuna is somewhat afraid that something more dangerous will happen to him. Whoever know whether a butterfly effect bring forth a positive or negative change right?

Well, she didn't thoughts of that at first but as the conversation between the man and woman goes on, Yuna uneasiness started to rise.

Still, even if things go out of proportion and Austin will face much difficult things than the originally intended one, Yuna will not blame herself. Just because she help him and let him have a much easier life and then fate decide to joke on him, Yuna will only blame and curse fate and not herself.

It was not her who makes things difficult for Austin; even she has that much awareness.

As a normal human being and as a reader, she cannot stay silent on the misery of a main character when she can do things to alleviate his hardship.

"When Master Louis comes back after the Moonlit Orchid expedition, the people at Huin town can be used as a living sacrifice"

It was the voice of the woman.

Yuna heart accelerated listening to the conversation.

"Although the town living stock barely exceed 1000, it will have to make do for the time being"

It was the male voice.

'This sound so much like those of minor villain fodder conversation'

Yuna wants to cry.

If she thinks about it, Yuna could come to a conclusion that the reason why the apothecary went away without any prior notice can only mean that she sustain heavy injuries. Then what about the male protagonist Austin who now deviate from the novel?

Yuna could only pray for her master to be magnanimous and shelter Austin under her wings.

Although that will not be a long term solution considering the fact that the apothecary sustaining heavy injuries by alone and now adding one person on her plate to protect…

Yuna bit her lips, vexed.

It was also at a time like this where the novel plotline decided to trigger her memory.

The actual reasons for the death of Austin mother.

Her condition does worsen but it was not to the point where she will die within a month. The worsening of her conditions actually started even before the apothecary disappearance.

• A sudden energy outburst occurs in and around the vicinity of Huin towns affecting the life of more than half of the towns people

That was what the novels said.

Seriously, it is both a great and worst timing man!

'Novella…..why now? QAQ'

There was no further explanation on why an energy outburst occurred and Yuna simply thought that it was a mystery point which will get addressed in the later chapter. Too bad Yuna did not read far ahead to unveil the mystery.

What she did know is that the energy outburst have causes various sickness for the children as well as old people and pregnant woman.

It was like when a radioactive wave from a nuclear bomb causes harmful sickness to those who is at the vicinity.

Also, the after affect of energy of energy outburst except for Austin mother that take immediate affect right away, the others on the otherhand shows symtoms at the end of the year so by the time they realise it, it was already too late!

'Grandpa…'

Her grandfather might also be one of those victims who got inflicted with the energy outburst, not only that even she herself could get affected. Her body is still that of a child.

"What to do… what to do…."

Yuna felt like cursing.

She cannot sit still after hearing such thing ah...

She is not dumb. She is smart but not over smart to set up plans or trapped to catch the minor villains off guard or think of any solution to disrupt the plan of the villains.

The current predicament felt surreal to Yuna as if everything is cover in fog.

Yuna even suspect whether she hallucinate and everything is just a product of her own imagination. She has never encounters such a blood boiling crisis!

As an ordinary person, everything feels fakes.

"Guard the teleportation array, I will go around the town to check up on the blood runes"

It was the female voice.

'Blood Runes! Fuck! That sounds so ominous!' Yuna curses.

"Let' go check it out first…"

Even if there is nothing she thought she can do, Yuna decide to see the matters first hand.

"If I get caught and die….. FUCK… so be it…."

Tears actually started streaming down Yuna face as she wrapped herself in tight clothes covering her face and body. She has clearly considers all the bad scenarios that can happen to her but she is just not smart enough to think of any other way to subvert anything except to go and see for herself.

She used to scold those white people in horror movie when they stupidly seek their own death and now, Yuna could not even sum up any contempt as she herself stupidly seek her own death.

'Please! Let it not be the case of *No Zou No die'

(A/n: *: it is a Chinese slang which means 'if you do not seek death, you won't die)

Her grandfather snoring and his peaceful breathing makes Yuna chokes in sobbing all the more.

"…I haven't live enough of the new world….This is un..fair"

Yuna is scared. She is after all quite a coward but if she didn't do anything, just anything, Yuna feel that even if she is to die, she don't want to go down without dragging anyone down with her.

'Ugh….this is so depressing'

It is fine if she were to die an unworthy death at the hand of a zombie but it is not okay to die an unworthy death when someone plots her death and she is aware of it. And by the way, she has retracted her thought. Her stupid brain come up on how to zombiefied painlessly. She can just drink their blood or something, disgusting but painless.

The sound is about 20m away and Yuna quickly caught the sight of a male in a green cloak, his face covered in a mask.

Beside the man, a glowing stone was placed on the ground and there is a line that glows forming a pattern.

'That must be the teleportation array'

Yuna peers her eyes and check out the man in green cloak.

'I have to distract him away from the teleportation array… ugh….this is so hot headed behaviour' Yuna lament at her impulsive action that have no formal plan whatsoever.

Impulsive as it may be, what can she do? She cannot think anything okay!

Because the man is only one person, Yuna although not very bright could at least handle him.

She produces her named butterfly and let it fly towards the man.

"An elementals"

The man coldly spat turning his eyes around sharply, he does not take any heap of the little fire butterfly as such a small flame will not be even enough to burn his clothes.

Yuna eyes brighten at the man lack of vigilance of the fire butterfly. The heat of the fire butterfly is contains tightly such that the heat cannot be felt without physical touch.

As soon as the man sharp eyes lands on Yuna, goose bumps started to pop out and her heart trembles in fear.

There is only one thought that rang loudly inside Yuna head

'He is going to kill me!'

Alarm bells rang incessantly and Yuna stood rooted on her spot, scared stiff to even move, the man sharp gaze pin her on her place, luckily before the man moves, Nami butterfly lands on the man shoulder.

The man takes a step towards Yuna but he soon rolls around the ground because of intense heat that explodes from his shoulder. A piercing scream could not even be heard for even a few second before his vocal cords melt away.

"…Although my fire …heat is not enough to melt metal, it at least can ….melt skin, that's for taken light of my nami"

Yuna scold shakily and walks forwards, summing up enough courage.

The man tries to dispel the fire with mana but the butterfly kept on multiplying such that the whole of his body is surrounded by the fire butterfly.

It was not long before the man breathing cease to exist.

It does not even take a minute for the man skin to completely melt along with his organs.

As Yuna reach beside the man, she sucks in a cold breath as she flops on the ground.

"Fuck…FUCK….FU..ck…urgh.."

Yuna groan as tears once again smears her face that was wrapped tightly with clothes. She feels nausea and has an urge to vomit.

"I kill…. Kill someone…" Yuna breaths shakily, her whole self uncomfortable.

"He… will kill me.. so I have no choice…." Yuna started to justify her action, her body trembles as her pupils dilated.

She was no more than an ordinary person and the current situation and the whole evil plot that she first hand experience is all too much for her to take in. She even takes a life of someone! A living breathing person!

Yuna feels as if her psychology is going to crumble.

"I already come this far…. Lets see till the end…"

Yuna forcefully suppressed her inner turmoil and tremblingly took a step at the teleportation array.

'I cannot be weak-willed at a time like this' Yuna encourage herself.

She has to warn her master, she knows she is strong, as for the guards of Huin town? Forget it, they are not even as good as her grandfather, and old-handsome-man.

There is only one person at the other end, the teleportation at the other end will not be surrounded by many enemies so Yuna boldly jump in the array.

Light burst out and when Yuna finally adjust her eye sight, the scene before her eyes nearly make her breath stop
