ELENA
I was waiting in anticipation while raising my toes with my palms full of flower petals. I checked the time and frowned, mumbling to myself.
"He should have been here by now."
I heard an annoyed tsk from behind before Joanna's voice fell on my ears. "Stop chanting that like a prayer Elena. Mr Sanders said he will be here at four. There are still ten minutes left."
I glanced back at her to see her checking the preparations once again. While Steve made sure that every corner of the house was just as it was three days ago.
Yes! Within only three days, Devon had the whole place repaired to what it looked like before. The only difference one could notice was the fresh paint on the walls. But he said he would handle that on his own.
And I believed him.
"Boss, everything is just perfect! I can't believe the workers Mr Sanders hired did all of this in just three days given the condition of the place before." Steve looked genuinely amazed by that.
I smiled, nodding my head.
