Ayakashi sat inside the small room he had created before going out for hunt,

And right now, his gaze blankly, looked at the fallen Twin-tailed wolf, he tore off one of the legs of the twin-tailed wolf and began to eat it.

Without showing any emotion in trance like state, he continued to eat, chewing and gulping down the meat without any hint of disgust.

Nearby him was small puddle of Pure water, from one of the corner, water was coming like a stream, and the source of this water was on from Top of wall.

There was a basketball-sized crystal with a bluish-white luminescence. The crystal has been buried among the surrounding rocks, dripping water from the bottom end.

It was a mysterious yet captivating stone. A blue radiance even deeper than aquamarine, is the most fitting expression.

Ayakashi continued to consumed both wolves entirely, leaving nothing behind.

As he finished the last piece of wolf,

"Ughh…" Ayakashi felt a sudden burning sensation engulfing his entire body, as if he was being consumed from the inside out.

The pain was far worse than his injuries from the encounter with the bear. It felt like his body was being eroded, and the pain was unbearable, causing him to thrash around on the ground in response.

To ease up the burning sensation, he looked at the source of water, he ran towards it, and drak it, as he did that.

"ahhhhhh!" he screamed,

His body began to convulse in sync with the pain. his entire body was pulsating, cracking and popping, sounds started to come from every part of his body.

But in the very next instant, his body started to heal for some reason, he knew why, this was the effect of Ambrosia, known as Sacred water.

The crystal is in fact the highest grade treasure known in history, called the "God Crystal/Divine Stone", and was recognised as an already lost legendary mineral.

God Crystals are formed from the flow of magic power in the vast earth over thousands of years which coincidentally accumulated, it is the crystallisation of magic power itself.

Ranging in thirty to forty centimetres in diameter, after crystallisation, it will take another few hundred years for it to reach saturation before magic power will begin to overflow in liquid form.

This water is called Sacred Water, it is said that drinking it would cure all forms of injuries and diseases.

Though it did not have the ability to regenerate lost body parts, drinking it consistently is said to give everlasting life, and could truly be called the drug of immortality.

Knowing it would heal, Ayakashi started to drink more and more and like magic the Sacred water took effect started to heal him completely and the abnormality.

"Haaa haaa haaa," he breathed deeply as the pain subsided, but then...

After his recovery, intense pain struck again, causing his body to convulse once more.

He thrashed around again and began scratching all over, experiencing pain like he had never felt before.

But once again, he was healed by the miraculous effects of the sacred water.

Although it was amazing, the water's tremendous healing abilities seemed to be useless, the pain continued to increase even further.

Due to the effects of the sacred water, fainting was impossible, its tremendous healing abilities backfired.

Soon, Ayakashi's body started to undergo changes. Firstly, his hair lost its color, rapidly turning white due to the unbearable pain surpassing his limits.

Then, his muscles and skeleton grew thicker, along with appearance of several thin purple-black lines appearing within his body.

However, as these changes continues, something purple-blackish and slimy substance started to comming out from his body, that substance started to Absorb the Sacred water, while slowly covering him entirely.

"Aaaaaaaaashhhhhhh," Ayakashi let out a piercing scream, and then something unexpected happened.

Suddenly, his legs' muscles and bones were completely obliterated, turning into pure dust.

Yet, they started healing again, leaving Akira feeling that his legs might collapsed at any moment and then regenerated.

All this happens while he was conscious and alive. The pain was beyond anything anyone could endure, and this cycle of destruction and healing occurred not just once, or twice but repeatedly.

As if that wasn't enough, Ayakashi's tailbone began to elongate, gradually growing bigger and bigger until it tore out from his flesh.

A new, tail bone emerged came from his back, biggen than the length of both his arms.

It then split into two parts, forming twin tails similar to those of a Twin-tailed Wolf.

Slowly, muscles started growing on the tails, followed by the formation of bones, tendons, blood vessels, and all other components needed to function like hands, still they remained slim, flexible, and covered in skin.

Finally, hairs grew rapidly on his new tails, making them fluffy.

But just like before, this new Tail, started to break down and then heal again, causing Ayakashi to feel more Pain.

The unending cycle of pain and regeneration continued.

As time passed, the slimy purple-blackish substance surrounding him grew darker, in sync with Ayakashi's body and flesh being destroyed and regenerated repeatedly.

These horrifying transformation showed no signs of stopping, and Ayakashi could only endure these to live.

The cause of this collapse is,

The meat of magic beasts is a deadly poison for humans.

They possess a special organ within their bodies called the 'magic stone', which produces magic power that directly circulates their bodies, allowing magic beasts to exhibit astounding physical abilities.

The flesh and bones of the magic beasts, soaked in the magic power circulating their body, turned strong and sturdy.

Such an 'alteration magic' does not require chants or magic circles, and is considered an inherent-born magic with unclear details.

In any case, this alteration magic is lethal to humans as it corrodes the human body from the inside, destroying the cells from within.

In the past, anybody and everybody who had eaten magic beast's meat, without exception, have had their bodies crumbled and died.

Ayakashi knew that, he had already read about this transformation in the library and also heard about it from Meld.

but he was in a trance-like state and didn't consider the consequences before consuming it.

If not for this momentary state, he would never have ingested that magic. beast meat.

Also if he had eaten was magic beast's meat, his body would probably have collapse and died already, but he had a secret medicine that prevented this. Sacred water.

Thanks to the water's effects, the destroyed parts of his body were instantly restored, as a result, his body strengthened at an amazing rate.

Destroy, recover, destroy, recover. His body pulsated as it changed, as though undergoing transformation. It was a metamorphosis.

Ayakashi's body was no longer visible, it was hidden inside a shell of purple-black slimy substance, resembling an egg cell.

Despite these, the process of destruction and recovery continued, and it could be heard clearly from outside, with each regeneration his human form transformed into something more powerful.

Who knows how long this transformation continued, but at one point, Ayakashi became numb from the unbearable pain.

Still, his body continued to change, no sign of stopping.

Finally, the process ceased, and the purple-black shell broke open, revealing Ayakashi in his new form.

His hair was completely dyed back to reven black, with a touch of purple at the end of each strand.

He was now naked, his previous clothes seemingly absorbed by the purple-black slime. Several purplish-black lines emerges on his body.

Notably, his height had increased significantly, he was now 187 cm previously only at 165 cm, this change made him taller than most of his classmates.

His appearance had also changed, free from any scars of the past. His skin was pale, with a well-toned muscular body that wasn't overly bulky.

Between his legs, something was dangling, showing a significant transformation in that area as well.

Most strikingly, Ayakashi's face had undergone a remarkable change.

He had a skinny face that appeared almost like that of a zombie. Even in Past, he was handsome but that looks was obscured by messy hair, a skinny body, and sunken eyes, but now everything had transformed.

He looked, stunning handsome with that cold look on his face, he looked cold hearted price like.

His eyes turned completely black with a purplish fire burning within. Even his nails turned in a purplish hue.

The most distinct features were his two tails, floating and wiggling, occasionally emitting small bursts of lightning-like discharges without Ayakashi even noticing.

The transformation had resulted changed him completely different form.

But as he came out from that shell, he suddenly collapsed onto the floor, completely exhausted.

And he falls unconscious, the process of body reconstruction was too much for him, after all.

It could kill a normal person, the pain would be too much for them to endure making them completely mentally retard.

And if someone even managed to come alive they would be different from Ayakashi. He endured a unique, much longer, and more intense process.

His body didn't simply change; it underwent a complete transformation instead of just reconstruction.

After a long period of sleep, Ayakashi gradually opened his eyes. He felt a sense of strangeness in his body as he slowly got up from the ground

"Strange… it felt refreshing…" he muttered, his throat also recovered.

The ground felt a bit higher than normal too.

The change was not limited to his body's appearance, while he felt change in his body he also felt a sense of discomfort from within.

Both hot and cold alike, couldn't be used to describe that queer sensation.

Concentrating on his arm, thin Purplish black lines emerged.

"What's this?" Ayakashi thought, seeing the strange lines, they look alike like from previous Monster but it was purplish, not reddish.

"What happened to my body? What a strange feeling…" he muttered, as he looked at his body and then remembered.

"I have… eaten those Monsters…How am I alive…" it did put him in deep thought but, he suddenly remembered.

"I should check that." He suddenly started to look for the status plate he had putten.

"Display Status," he muttered, after finding the status plate, and an astonishing status appeared, he couldn't believe it was real.

his Level cap was no longer there, confusing him about what might happened, but he knew he knew it was a good thing, it won't no longer put him any limitations of how strong he can become.

"It's not a dream," he said, Anyone who heard his voice right now would have chills run down their spine, It was cold, distant and almost had no emotion.

"Magic Manipulation?" while he looked at status, his eyes locked on this skill got his intrest.

but then his eyes were drawn towards the stone nearby, which was able to reflect his Appearance, causing him to be more surprised.

"I looked different…" he touched his body again, feeling packed and powerful. His body felt lighter too, ignoring the strange sensation for a moment.

Suddenly an growl came from his stomach, he hadn't eaten since quite a while...also he wants to test his New skill and body...

Floor-20...

"We got back?"

"Did we get back?"

"We're back… we're really back…"

The students let out sighs of relief one after another. Some started crying, and others hugged each other.

they didn't thought of that, they have lost one of their classmate.

Kouki and his friends sat down on the ground after passing through the wall, but they were still inside a Dungeon.

Magic beast might be present, although They were low-level, and they didn't know when a magic beast might show up.

They had to leave the Dungeon before the tension overwhelmed them completely.

Despite the urge to let everyone rest, Commander Meld toughened up and made the students stand up.

"All of you! Don't just sit there! You won't be able to get back if you start relaxing here! Try to avoid combat with the magic beasts as much as possible, we have to escape as quickly as possible. Just endure it for a little longer!"

The students' pleas for a break were silenced by Commander Meld's stern look. they wanted to break after waking and fighting but, They reluctantly stood up, with Kouki taking the lead despite feeling exhausted.

They tried to avoid unnecessary battles as they made their way towards the dungeon's entrance in one continuous effort.

Finally, they reached the 1st floor and saw the familiar receptionist.

Even though they hadn't spent more than a day in the dungeon, it felt like a long time had passed since they last came through.

This time, the students' relief was genuine. Some of them even cheered out in front of the square, overjoyed that they had survived.

Not a single remorse could be seen on their face.

Commander Meld made a report at the reception area, keeping a careful eye on the students.

They had encountered a dangerous new trap on the 20th floor, and even though the stone bridge had collapsed, they couldn't be sure if the trap was still active, so it needed to be reported.

In addition, they had to report Ayakashi's death. Commander Meld struggled to hide his sorrow, and despite his efforts, he couldn't help but let out a sigh..

After the group returned to Holward, they dejectedly returned to their rooms.

There were a few students who were discussing about Ayakashi and other things, but the majority of them had already fallen into a deep sleep.

Right now, all the students were exhausted and slept like logs.

They understood the reality of Ayakashi's death, but nobody showed any sadness, they were happy that they were not the one who was killed at that time.

They didn't even knew his name until Two week, ago. So it's obvious why would they feel Sad for someone who just suddenly appeared.

Except for Aiko, she was their Teacher, so obviously she would be sad due to lose of the student, also she knew the situation about Ayakashi. but She didn't knew what to do or feel...

But she made up her mind...
