Crisis in war

The golden tier 4 monkey was battling the long tailed monkey and mettalic other. While he overpowered the long tailed one, the mettalic tarasier was way stronger than expected. He sent needle like hairs that pierced the gorilla's tough hide. He manipulates iron by creating iron spears that spawn from the ground. His strong physique was similarly hard for the Gorilla to face.

Wis lighting fur offset some of the metal needles. He managed not to get hit by many needles despite his big physique, still those who did made an impact. When he launched lightning beams, the metal monkey took the brunt of the attack and remained totally unfazed.

The gorilla's options were severely limited and he could only reinforce himself with lightning mana, gaining speed and power, and fight in close combat.

He started to get slowly pushed by the two tier 4 monsters, towards the hoplite legion.

The two resting fiire-tailed female tier 4, after killing several Ents, joined the fray against the Golden Gorilla. The situation became dangerous for him.

Ezyze heard explosions and Thunder. He saw flames not very far from him and saw the big gorilla being pushed back by 4 big monkeys.

The situation started to become worrying as the injuries were piling up on the gorilla.

Both Ezyze's and Arthur's group fought their way through the tarasiers and rejoined.

"Ezyze, the gorilla is being pushed back. I am afraid that he will be pushed back and that their fight will continue right next to us. The hoplites are in danger.

Agreed. But what can we do, the tier 4s are extremely strong, and we took one down solely because we cooperated.

We don't need to take them down! We only need to distract them in their fight against the gorilla. A small task force can be spared, while the bulk of our forces must ease the burden of the hoplites."

Arthur, Ezyze, Rea and Zephyr ran towards the gorillas. Fighting strong tier 4s was extremely dangerous. Still, it had to be done.

Baal took command of the remaining Aries, as well as Eve. Fighting near the hoplites, yet more on the edge of the bigger confrontation. They were like a cog slowly grinding and killing monkeys while maintaining the current of tarasiers which had greater numbers fighting the hoplites. Baal used his transformation. The flames grew. The fight becomes fiercer.

The metallic tarasier was a natural opponent of the Thunder Gorilla. His physique and use of magic greatly offset whatever the gorilla was trying.

When they joined the fray, Ezyze threw spatial rays after spatial rays at the metallic monkey, which created metal spikes aiming to skewer him. Ezyze blinked away.

Arthur lighted his whole being with his Aura. While his gray aura armor was radiating, his blueish sword grew sharper and stronger. Using precise movements and exquisite swordmanship that he honed through decades of training, he exchanged blows with the monkey.

Zephyr speeds up and slashes at the monkey. His vibrating sword did not cut the metallic skin deep. His wounds partial, the monkey was bleeding but not profusely.

Angered, the monkey attacks the 2. His fists causing enormous damages.

Arthur and Zephyr dodged most of the hits. When he had any opening, Ezyze casts spatial rays, causing small, yet true damages. Ezyze couldn't really join them in close combat. His reflexes were not sharp enough to do so yet.

Whenever the metalic tarasier could harm the 2, Rea jumped in and delivered explosive blows. Each and every time, the monkey was harmed. His skin indented. When she joined the fray, Rea caused him to be damaged, by her and the other 2, instead of harming her companions. While precious, her help was limited.

Whenever she hit him, metal shards entered her flesh. She couldn't kick too many times otherwise would lose her mobility. In order to decrease the damages that she received, she targeted the knees, ribs and head of the monkey. She was hitting these places over and over again.

The golden Gorilla was focused on the long tailed Gorilla. He attacked him without reservations, thus pushing him back. While the fire monkeys were a hassle and distracting him, he could not win against the group and only wage a fight as equal to them. Still, by slowly pushing back the long tailed monkey, they distanced themselves from Ezyze's group.

Similarly, while Ezyze and the others caused some harm to the monkey, the Vitality of the beast and his strenght were high enough to fight for a long long time.

Rea however couldn't intervene so much without harming herself greatly.

While the group maintained an immediate stalemate, the future was dire.

They were not making enough damages on the monkey.

Meanwhile, a massive black Gorilla was leading a group of gorillas. They struck many monkeys on their own.

After hours of fighting monkeys and rescuing Ents, their forces grew stronger and stronger, while increasing their numbers. The isolated Ents and gorillas fought together and had each others' back.

The black Gorilla didn't spot any tier 4 tarasier and killed every lower tiered monkey.

He felt a surge of Mana and rushed over.

What he saw was quite something.

The hoplite is a legion of warriors. They were developed at first by humans in order to fight as a unit and offset their limitations as weaker beings. While only warrior class manned them at first, true hoplite classes started to emerge slowly. On their planet, Aries were challenged by various enemies, humans included. They waged wars against numerous clans and nations and their empire grew from this. They slowly implemented foreign strategies and fighting style in their own. This knowledge of strategy, warriors and warnonging in general is something that Arthur makes full use of. This hoplite legion of goblins is a product of the Aries history.

While manned at first by puny and weak tier 1 goblins, the legion formation allowed them to survive together. Now manned by stronger tier 2 hobgoblins, the legion shed its weak skin and turned into a force not only capable to survive, but to kill.

Still, a huge number of tarasiers' corpses, mangled, jonched the ground near the legion. The previously green grass was drowned in blood.

The soil was damaged. The stomping, the trusts of the hoplites and magic attacks destroyed it.

The hoplites were now hunched over, relying on their spears and shields to stand up. They chests moved strongly along the hoplites' struggles to gasp for air. Many of them did not feel the pain anymore. All of them were injured. Their armor filled with blood, theirs and the one of their enemies still strongly defended them. The few healing spores made less and less of an impact.

The Ent goblins could keep going and werenstronger than the others. Still, the continuous fight which intensity did not decrease the slightest for hours. The continuous killing. They were tired, the shield and spear heavy and fights were difficult. The others were worse off.

The Aries were now fighting along the hoplites. They had to team up and fight together even individual tarasiers. They couldn't fight multiple monkeys anymore. Still, they popped in and out of the rectangle of hoplites, killing and killing until they joined back the formation, exhausted.

Their formation changed times and times during hours of fight.

Baal's explosiveness is long gone. He nows fight solely using his sword and body. His mana depleted caused him an intense headache and the exhaustion made him weaker.

The 2 Spearman acted as one, while the other Aries acted in groups of 4 or 5s. Only one warrior was fast. Only the berserk retained her momentum and speed. She was actually slightly more powerful, this late in the fight. She was however the most hurt.

Surrounding them, around 400 monkeys, around 10x their numbers, tried to suffocate the unshakables. The neighboring villages sent all their numbers to protect the main one. Almost all the tarasiers of the Emberwood forest joined the fight. Many of then tried to take down the hoplites. Many of them remain after few hours and more of them died.

The golden Gorilla has charred fur. Burnt marks and fang bites showed how fierce this battle was.

The long tailed tarasier was missing his right arm and eye. The red ones have burnt marks and traces of being bitten and clawed. One pH them was missing a third of her tail.

They were all heaving. Their mana was mostly spent and they couldn't attack with strong magic.

All around them, there was only desolation. Quite a big chunk of the enormous olive tree was carved out- ot caved in.

The gorilla grunted and threw himself again to tangle with the tarasiers. He manages to get in few punches, the crushing sound of bones breaking making a dull noise.

Yet, the 2 flame tarasiers punched and clawed the gorilla. The third used his monstrous tail to slam him and send him flying away.

Boom!

He crashes against metal spikes.

They were fighting for several hours. Metal spikes surrounded their position, despite the numerous gouges in the ground.

Rea lied there, unconscious and metal spikes lodged in her ribs, left shoulder and leg. She looked like an Amazon, a God of War and fists, her figure bloodied.

Arthur and Ezyze had metal needles in their flesh. Arthur had cracks visible on his armor.

Zephyr had very few damages. He couldn't use his left hand, it's wrist cut deep. He coated the wound with nearby leaves and his hand was held in place thanks to some tendrils, his hand otherwise dangling.

The metalic monkey had several spatial bolts lodged in his body. His right elbow was crashed. The spikes of his fur destroyed, his cracked skin was otherwise slashed.

Both sides were exhausted. Ezyze and the rest overexerted themselves and could barely move.

By this stage, Ezyze spent thousands of his mana points, despite having being regenerated. He couldn't move, but he had to damage the monkey. He tried to cast both his gravity field and spatial rays st hhe same time. Still amateurishly, he manage to have gravity integrated to his mana bolts. The repulsive force on one end and attractive force on the other side of the bolt totally changed their power. The repulsive force made the bolts accelerate instantaneously. The attractive one had the bolts attracted to a heavy mass. Moreover, by gaining 'weight', the bolts were more impactful and had higher penetrative power.

With this, Ezyze could somewhat ignore the tough hide of the monkey and cause substantial damages.

Still, after hours of fighting bolts where he had to cast both magic simultaneously, he was mentally tired and his mana reserves started to reach the bottom.

He pierces the monkey with several enhanced spatial bolts.

The armoured monkey rushes to their position.

BOOM!

The golden Gorilla crashes the spikes.
