Chapter 2: This world is...

Kale moved very quickly through the streets in search of a library. After half an hour of search, he found one.

[Daylight Library]. Written in bold letters on a silver board plastered on the buildings entrance.

He entered and greeted the librarian and soon enough he found the books he needed.

Kale also picked up some geography books to further be sure of somethings.

He sat down in the nearest empty desk and placed the books down. He picked one up and started to read it.

As he read it his eyes widened in shock and a smile couldn't help but form on his face.

Unlike the world he previously lived in, this world had something his home world could never obtain.

Power! Not political one, but individual power such as super human strength on even magic.

Needless to say Kale was excited. He had always imagines fighting beasts as a kid, and now suddenly thrown into a fantasy world he was livid.

His smile grew and he continued reading.

A few centuries ago, something erupted on the earth. That was Mystic!

Mystic drives the very order of the world. It was basically a source of power for all living and some non-living beings.

Kale read more and more and he got more fascinated by the second.

After acquiring a decent amount of the power systems, and whatnot, he picked up the geography book from earlier to check on the world map.

And something did change, after the Earth's change with Mystic, other races now found earth inhabitable and migrated onto the earth.

Some continents were conquered by them, leaving humans with only two continents under their control.

The rest were of the lands of either the demons, dwarves, elves, fairies, giants and so much more!

Kale felt like he hadn't had enough of the new world.

Soon time passed and he realized it was getting dark. He made his way home while pondering on his next move.

Either being an adventurer or a student at an academy.

Thinking more about it, he brought out his phone and searched for the best academy, Kale didn't want to go to any bull crap one. He wanted the best of the best.

However, as he read it seems he misunderstood something. The academies pick you depending on the show you present.

And they will be hosting a tournament to enter one of them which will be hosted within a month to two months time.

Kale sighed and put his phone back into his pocket. Adventurer for now, he thought with a smile. An adventures life wasn't to bad except for the danger involved with it.

Kale wasn't a fan of that, but he still wanted to be one. It was now his source of income, besides he had a treasure which he had not found out all it's abilities...

Forgetting about that, he arrived infront of his apartment complex and went to his assigned room.

[Room 4B]

He brought out his room card and swiped it across the sensor.

Beep!

The door made a clicking sound before he opened the door.

He entered and released a sigh of exhaustion, today's turn of events really hit him badly.

He still vividly remembered how he killed that girl and yet even though he felt his stomach churn a bit, he did it out of anger.

He reminded himself to keep control over his emotions whenever something went wrong.

However, actions speak louder than words, even though he might have told himself that, doing it was a whole other thing.

He walked to his bathroom and took a look at the mirror before his mouth twitched slightly.

Kale had bright pink hair... which he wasn't proud of but didn't bother to dye it. He had a stunning pair of deep blue eyes. All in all his looks weren't that bad, just above average but not too outstanding.

He quickly took a bath and laid down on his bed still thinking about some things.

For the second time, he called out:

"Status."

[Kale Rae]

[Race: Human]

[Mystic Runes: 10]

[Body: F]

[Energy: F]

[Spirit: F]

[Skill(s): -]

[Trait: Steal]

[Inventory: -]

[Soul Treasure: Arcane Scissors]

He once again looked intently at, [Arcane Scissors] and read that two skills that came with it.

[Sever: The user can separate any existence as long as a mana requirement is it. The selected existence will have several minor details added to set the mana requirement. -Sub-skill: [Eye Of Severing: Shows the user what can be severed]

Kale nodded and realized he got an overpowered skill. However, this seemed to he the main skill he would receive.

Without delaying, he checked on the other one.

[Size change: Change the size of Arcane Scissors to however the user sees fit. This can be done when the user can spend such mana depending on the size.]

Kale appreciated this skill dearly. How could he fight when his scissors where barely seven inches.

Finally, he saw something which piqued his interest by a bit, and judging by the name, it's definitely good.

[Steal: The user is able to steal an aspect of an existence, such as memories, strength, arts, techniques etc. Cool down: One month. Sub-skill: The user can pull an existence to him only when the user has the required mana.]

Kale smiled once he saw such skills and his body trembled in excitement. He wanted to test them now, but he resisted the urge and decided to sleep.

Since tommorow will be his sign up as an adventurer.
