Arcana: Online

After dying from terminal illness, Kim Iseul transmigrated into his favorite game, [Arcana: Online] wherein the game, players can create their very own characters. A world where there are only wooden mechanics and no modern science yet, with monsters roaming the world, existing magic, and war politics taking over everything. This is also a game where the player’s characters were actually especially made for the upcoming battle, a great war will one day descend upon them where they’ll have to face the Outer Gods, and one thing is certain, in the game [Arcana: Online] not a single player has yet been able to reach the ending of the story. Kim Iseul who transmigrates as a non-existing character was determined to see the end of the story no matter what. This is just a small favor compare to what the game had given him.

Chapter 20: Han Min-Jun’s Training (2)

Clack!

Placing the woods and metals on the table I sighed with a s mile, picking up a chalk I wrote down 'First Learning Discussion' on the board before turning to face Han Min-Jun, with a smile I said "Well then, are you ready to learn?"

"Yes!" Han Min-Jun said loudly and I said "Alright then, the first step you need to learn is, 'What are all the types of woods and metals that can be used?'" Hearing this Han Min-Jun slightly became disappointed, he wanted to get to the best part immediately but it seems that he will still be learning this for now instead…

Of course I saw through his thoughts, walking towards him I flicked his forehead. "Ouch!" Han Min-Jun rubbed his forehead in annoyance and pouted at me but I just ignored his glare and said "If you don't know what type of woods and metals to be used then how can you invent something? Hm?" Han Min-Jun couldn't refute and just grumbled.

Turning I wrote down two words above and underneath them are numbers from one to four in a vertical line. [Hardwoods] [Softwoods] Seeing this Han Min-Jun widened his eyes slightly, he of course knows this because he had lived in the mountain since he was a child.

With a grin I asked "What do you think are the four best woods for the hardwoods and softwoods?" Han Min-Jun was silent before standing and walking towards me, as I passed the chalk to him he wrote down the answers at a fast speed without any hesitation.

[Hardwoods

Oak

Walnut

Maple

Mahonagy]

[Softwoods

Pine

Cypress

Cedar

Fir]

Seeing this I was satisfied and said "Good". As Han Min-Jun went back to his seat I erased what was written on the board and wrote something else as I said "As for the metal, there are actually 5 types that are great to be used."

[Steel

Iron

Aluminum

Zinc

Bronze]

"All of this whether it is wood or metal, had their own advantages and disadvantages" Taking out the gun I made out of my bag I continued "Let's take this for an example"

"My gun is has most of it's outer parts made of woods while actually, the inner part is only made out of metal, including the bullets of it" I said which made Han Min-Jun widen his eyes in surprise. Seeing Han Min-Jun's doubtful face, I handed him my gun and said "See for yourself" Han Min-Jun took the gun hesitantly and I explained "Oh don't worry, it's unloaded" only when Han Min-Jun heard this did he finally calmed down. Raising his glasses he took a peek at the inside of the gun and did found that the inner part of it is only made out of metals! Placing his finger inside of it, it felt hot which made it obvious that it had been used not long ago

Han Min-Jun looked at me with narrowed eyes and I blinked innocently. Han Min-Jun was silent before giving back my gun, taking it I placed on the table and said "As you can see, just because it is called wooden mechanic doesn't mean that it is purely made out of woods only. That's why, you'll have to carefully choose what suits your mechanic best"

"Now then, I'm pretty certain that you've been waiting for the exciting part, right?" As soon as Han Min-Jun heard my words, his heart skipped a beat. With a smile I said "Let's go with inventing now since I know that you have plenty of knowledge already about the uses of these woods and metals right?"

Han Min-Jun nodded his head and I said "Good. Now, let's start with the first question. 'What will you create' Han Min-Jun?"

Han Min-Jun was silent for a long time and after some pondering, he took a deep breath before finally speaking in a determined and solemn voice, "I want to create something that will be able to protect one's self!"

With a grin, I said "Shall we start then?"

___

Hours Later

Han Min-Jun sighed a relief as he finally finished drawing the blueprint of his idea. I looked at it and hummed, I looked up closely at it and slid my finger along it. Han Min-Jun became nervous and after I paused, I turned to him which made him swallow his saliva. With a grin I said "It's perfect"

Hearing this Han Min-Jun widened his eyes and stuttered "R- Really?" Nodding my head I said "Of course, I have no reason to lie in this situation. You had carefully thought about it and placed every part in the correct position with the correct uses of it"

"Although the question is, will you be able to create this physically thought?" I said with a taunting tone which made Han Min-Jun furrow his eyebrows and said "I'll be able to do it, Zero"

"That's the spirit!" I said before clasping my hands and said "Now then, let's head back to the inn"

".…What?" Han Min-Jun blurted out as he paused. With a grin I said "You didn't really think we would create this now, did you?"

"Huh?" Han Min-Jun was confused. I explained patiently "This would take at the very least, two days before you're able to finish it, that's why we should do this in the morning to make sure that it would be done in just a day"

"Why are you rushing thought?" Han Min-Jun asked and I said "It's because I wouldn't want it to be stolen while we are away don't you?"

"Ah!" Realizing this Han Min-Jun nodded in agreement. Packing my bag, Han Min-Jun handed over the blueprint and I put it inside the bag. As soon as we opened the door we were faced with someone that made me sneer.

"And what may be the reason for you appearing here?" I asked sarcastically. The person trembled in anger but took a deep breath as he said "Please let me make up for my mistakes earlier!"

The person that appeared was, Ethan Baron.
