Apocalyptic Ravager

A catastrophic event engulfing the whole world had given birth to an unimaginable monster. The Ravager, The Embodiment of Destruction, Slayer of All. As his name sounds, he had killed everyone in the world. Hundreds of planet's worth of living beings were vanquished by him one after another. In a world where everyone absorbed the power and physiques of the foes they kill, he stood as the strongest and the most ruthless. Until he was killed by a mysterious entity known as Melina and returned to the past. With his ego buried deep within the soul of his former self, he lived through his everyday life as a human. But not for long. **** The start might be a bit slow-paced.

'Hmm, it seems I overslept, again.'

The sleepiness that occurs after Exp allocation has one purpose.

It's to make Eve unconscious when soul power enters his body.

It's possible that he could get addicted to it like how the Ravager did so this kind of measurement was necessary.

However, the sleep itself was not supposed to be long. On the contrary, it was supposed to take like 10 minutes, maybe a bit longer if the change occurring was a major one.

Eve had woken up at the hospital during daylight, and now it was night.

'I was really tired, huh? My body needs rest to recover after all.'

He summoned his status screen again and checked his condition.

[Condition: Exhausted, Hungry (Orange)]

'I recovered back to the orange stage. Looks like my body got a hastened recovery speed because of the soul power entering and modifying my cells temporarily.

The probable reason why it probably didn't heal more was that I was hungry.'

The word 'Hungry' on the condition did not do justice to the level of hunger Eve felt. He was borderline starving.

There was a tube pumping nutrients straight into his throat, sure, but it was meant to sustain him and not make him full hence the liquid it injected inside him was limited in amount.

'Argh, I wanna be able to talk.

Hopefully, it won't be long. I can already feel my throat itching.'

Unable to move, Eve stood still.

A clock somewhere he couldn't see ticked, marking the passing of every second.

The seconds stretched into minutes.

And minutes stretched into hours.

'I'm bored.'

He could feel his body stiffening.

'My agility is going to be affected negatively the longer I stay put in this bed.

I can already feel how stiff my stiff muscles are going to be after I get out of this bed.'

One time, Eve had stayed put for 27 hours to beat a boss.

The dopamine from the victory was good enough but his body quickly canceled it out.

'Let's see, I should use the time I have and use it more effectively.

Let's be productive instead of reminiscing about the past.

The primary stats I can improve via exercise and working out are explosive strength, maximum strength, agility, and stamina.

I can use plyometric exercises to build explosive strength. For maximum strength, I can do some basic lifting and running for longer periods, not as intense as explosive exercise but gradually increasing the difficulty.

Agility is a simple one. Some yoga ought can do the trick.

My stamina will improve as long as I keep focusing on strength exercises. Maybe I can go hiking sometimes to increase my endurance in heat, sunlight, etc.

Durability, I can't think of a way to improve it without expending Exp. My perception might improve a little bit since I have higher vigor now and my deteriorated eyesight might recover a tiny bit.

Intelligence, I have no idea. Maybe I should solve some puzzles and make my brain work.'

As he was contemplating, a door was slammed open and a figure got inside the room.

"What the hell are you doing?" A now familiar voice roared.

'Sup Melina.'

Befitting of someone in a real school, she wore appropriate clothing.

Adorned in a light-colored sailor-style blouse with red trimmings around the collar, and a black knee-length skirt, she looked like a neat and average student.

She had even tied her usually loose silvery hair into a ponytail and applied some hair clips.

"Did you go around intentionally provoking Adrian?"

'Yep. I even got some Exp for it.'

"Do you have no sense of self-love? Do you want to die? You know how Adrian and Arco are always itching to beat you!

You're supposed to prove your worth to them and get along, not fan the flames when there's already a forest fire!"

'Shut up, Can't you see I'm injured and tired? Well, not like you can hear my thoughts but still.'

"Seriously, what am I going to do with you."

She sighed as if she was just done with everything and stormed off after smashing the door close.

'That was quite the scene.'

Stripped away of anything to do, Eve closed his eyes to rest as much as possible.

It was not easy, trying to sleep. He was hungrier than he had ever been.

Hunger, although unfamiliar to him, was something someone else was deeply intimate with.

As he slipped away into the land of dreams, he missed a glowing blue screen notifying him of an ongoing event.
