Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

After being betrayed by her family, Bai Meiyue found herself struggling in the flourishing age where zombies and mutant animals ruled. And that too with a big belly! Though people called her crazy for being stubborn, Bai Meiyue didn’t regret keeping the fruit of her one-night stand. What she regretted was not protecting her child and trusting those whom she should have killed at the very chance that was handed to her. In the eleventh year, Bai Meiyue lost her child and died while taking revenge on those who took her son away. However, just when Bai Meiyue thought it was the end, she returned two months before the beginning of the doomsday. Carrying the grudge of two lifetimes, she swore to make life living hell for those who harmed her and her son. With the heavens blessing her with a barter system, Bai Meiyue was intent on giving her child everything that he deserved. But why was the child’s father chasing after her? Hello? We only shared a bed for a night. So why was he clinging to her? Her child’s father: From the best medicine to education, you have given our child everything, Meiyue. But what about a father?

Shame? What was that?

However, as she stepped out Bai Meiyue pursed her lips and thought for a while. The court would naturally return her money but it would take some time. And Bai Meiyue who had seen and survived the cruel days of the apocalypse knew that she did not have even a single day to waste!

She had to start hoarding resources as soon as possible!

But how?

After a second of pondering, Bai Meiyue's eyes brightened. That's right, she did not have money but—

She placed her hand on her abdomen and sighed; Bai Cai's father did. That man was not only rich, but he was also lucky to awaken the power of fire in the apocalyptic world.

Bai Meiyue had no idea what happened to that man after the doomsday broke; all she knew was that he reached a position where no one could carelessly touch him.

In the past, she wanted to go to him after she found the identity of the man with whom she spent her night.

But she was stopped by Su Hu. Back then she was blinded by her love for that man and believed him when he told her that he loved Bai Cai as his own and was doing his best to raise him as his own child.

Bai Meiyue didn't doubt his words, not even once. It was only when her son was sold did the rose-tinted glass fall from her eyes.

Only after losing her son did she realise that Su Hu and the rest just wanted her to keep protecting them. They were worried that she would use Bai Cai to get close to that man and abandon them, so they came up with a sinister plan to kill Bai Cai.

In their eyes, as long as there was no Bai Cai —that man would not accept Bai Meiyue! And she would have to stay with them and keep protecting them!

They would have never expected that Bai Meiyue would not leave the matter alone until she found the truth despite the lies that they had fed her.

Of course, Bai Meiyue had no desire to be entangled with that man after being betrayed by the only man she trusted in her life.

All she wanted was to pave the way for her son's survival and nothing else. And it didn't matter how she did it!

Bai Meiyue hailed a taxi after she was done making her decision. She ignored the continuous calls from her father and told the taxi driver to take her to the Lei Corporation.

"We have arrived, Miss," the taxi driver said, placing his foot on the brakes, and the cab came to a stop.

Bai Meiyu, who was watching the drama unfold on the internet, raised her head and looked at the large glass doors with two guards stationed on either side.

She nodded and turned to look at the cab driver before asking, "How much do I owe you?"

"A total of thirteen yuan, Miss," replied the driver.

Bai Meiyue finished paying the taxi driver before she stepped out of the cab. She pulled the strap of her bag and then walked towards the large glass doors that opened on their own.

She noticed the two guards looking at her with weird glances, but Bai Meiyue did not pay attention to them. Instead, she walked inside the lobby and headed straight to the receptionist before saying to her, "Hello, I want to meet Mister Lei Qian."

The receptionist was watching the hot gossip and was quite annoyed when she was disturbed. She raised her head to tell off the person who dared to disturb her, but as soon as she raised her head, the receptionist realised that the main character of the gossip was standing right in front of her!

"B–Bai Meiyue?"

Not even in her dream did she think of seeing Bai Meiyue in the flesh.

The receptionist was so shocked that she raised her hands and rubbed her eyes. When she was certain that Bai Meiyue was truly standing in front of her, she stammered, "W–What did you say, Miss Bai?"

Damn it, which fool told her that Bai Meiyue was all filter and no natural beauty. She wanted to drag that person and punch them a hundred times in their guts. How dare they lie with their eyes open?

"I would like to see, Mister Lei Qian," Bai Meiyue patiently replied. Living in Doomsday while looking for her son had not only taught her how to kill people without mercy, but it had also taught her how to keep her patience.

When the receptionist heard her request, she wanted to agree at once. After all, this was a request from her goddess, but then she thought about the consequences of her actions and gritted her teeth.

She shook her head and refused Bai Meiyue, "I am sorry, Miss Bai. But if you do not have an appointment, then you cannot meet with the CEO."

All kinds of fanatics came to meet with Lei Qian. Some even bribed the previous receptionist and snuck inside the building.

The boss was so angry because of this that he fired that receptionist right away and even made it impossible for her to find a job in the entire city.

Getting fired was bad enough, but not being able to find another job in the entire city? Who could withstand it?

Lei Qian did such a thing because he wanted to kill the monkey to warn the chicken. From then on, no one dared to let even a fly sneak to the topmost floor, much less a woman or a man.

Bai Meiyue pursed her lips; she knew that it was not going to be easy to meet that man. He had always been unreachable. Every time she had seen or looked at him, he was so far away that Bai Meiyue could only stare at him as if he were an immortal.
