Chapter 2: A new friend

' papa *sob* papa ' she heard the faint sobbing of a girl. Her voice getting hoarse as she cried out to her father. Hailee felt like helping her as her motherly instincts were triggered. She almost became a mother but lost her baby due to the explosion . she peeped behind the tree to see where the little girl is staying.

'oh my gawd, who could have done this to a sweet little girl ' she said but only incoherent growls came out . hahaha she forgot that she was a zombie

The little girl was tied to a tall tree and the zombies were trying to reach her but luckily for her there were only normal zombies and level one zombies there. her stars sure is lucky.

normal zombies are zombies without energy crystals while level one zombies have a grade one crystal which made them a bit stronger than normal zombies.

she doesn't know how she did it but she seems to be a level three zombie with an ability core but she doesn't know what ability she has so far. stepping out from behind the tree, revealing her presence, the lower level zombies trembled in fear when faced with a power higher than them. she walked forward and zombies parted and created a way for her to pass.

' at least this new identity had a plus point ' she thought no longer daring to talk with her own voice.

she walked towards the girl who was shivering in fear. her cute plump lip trembling, crystal clear tears rolling down her eyes . Hailee felt very sorry for the girl and she already swore an oath to take care of her no matter what and when she finds the person that kept the little girl here , she is definitely going to kill such a heartless person.

Hailee is no saint but she wasn't so heartless to tie a little powerless girl in the middle of a mutated forest.

she untied the trembling girl and probably due to shock the girl fainted and fell on her body.

Carrying the girl she tried to find her way out of the forest.

Approximately thirty minutes later she came out of the forest , the road before her was dilapidated and filled with deep portholes , fallen trees and branches everywhere, spoilt cars parked carelessly on the road , a dark red substance splashed at different places .

the road was a terribly sight to see , thankfully the girl is not awake.

Hailee didn't need to walk for long as small house came to her view . she walked towards the direction of the house. upon entering , the house looked like where a big fight took place , she didn't mind as she quickly layed the girl on the floor. she had to meditate because the scent of the girl was driving her crazy , Hailee was now a zombie after all and zombies ate humans or crystals but they liked eating humans most. Her hunger was increasing but her consciousness will not allow her to eat humans in any way . sitting down to meditate she looked into her head where the crystals were developed. she felt something weird but when she tried to probe further she was teleported somewhere.....
