Chapter 41 - 3 More Orcs

Everything went white and Soeyoon found herself standing just outside a forest of pine like trees.

Out in the distance was a rundown mediaeval style city.

The style was unlike anything she had seen before, even for her who had travelled the world and seen numerous sights.

Looking around, she noticed that the trees and grass looked different. 

They looked wrong somehow.

The grass seemed to be broader than any she had seen before, pulling some of them up, the roots were singular and straight like a stick.

The trees were like pine trees, but when she cut some of the barks away, they were layered like banana stems.

This was definitely not earth. 

Well this was Tower Level two she reminded herself.

Gathering herself up, she headed towards the city confidently.

Those primitive folks should be easy to conquer.

Indeed her super star persona had captivated the City Lord and anyone of importance.

The City Lords' eyes were unable to stop roaming her bodies.

While she felt uncomfortable, she was already used to it and tried to maximise her benefits.

She had managed to convince the distracted City Lord that the soldiers were too weak and they should form hunting parties to train the troops and even potentially bring extra revenue for the city.

Hearing the word 'hunting' had brightened the Chief of Guards' eyes. 

He obviously loved to hunt.

Then the words 'extra revenue' made the Coin Master's eyes twinkle and his face could not stop smiling.

Throwing a wink at the Chief of Guards and a greedy smile at the Coin Master she knew she had these people in the palm of her hands.

As for the City Lord's son, he was a useless punk that can be ignored.

After getting the approval from the City Lord, Soeyoon went to the treasury with the Coin Master.

Using the Secret Art: K-Pop Sexy Seduction, Soeyoon managed to acquire a bunch of items from the Coin Master after persuading him that the stronger she was the better the outcome would be.

Soeyoon had earned:

Apple of Intellect: permanently increase 2 intellect.

Necklace of Meditation(C) :a necklace that gives one mana regeneration per hour.

Leather Armour Set(N/A).

Pity, while the bows they had were of better quality, it was different from the compound bow she had and she was hopelessly weak and was unable to draw those bows properly.

Hence she settled for her old bow and instead asked the Coin Master, Shoren to help her custom make additional arrows for her.

While using wooden shaft and steel tipped arrows made the balance different from the composite ones she used too, Soeyoon should be able to quickly adjust her aims and habits and improve her accuracy.

While trying to seduce Shoren to get her more items, Soeyoon was appalled to find that the Coin Master was adamant that she could not get anything else as everything of value had been given to her.

As she was not allowed into the Treasury, she begrudgingly had to make do with what she was given.

Another thing that made her upset was that the necklace was a temporary loan, she had to return it after every time she used it.

With that, she arranged with Argus the Chief of Guards to form a hunting party and went out farming every week. 

From Argus, she found out that one could obtain a class at level 10 and obtain more powerful abilities and bonus stats.

Initially she had planned to farm till she attained a class change at level 10 from the city.

But their intense hunting had cleared the forest of anything they could hunt within a few day's ride.

So Argus made the call to hunt on the other side of the mountains.

She had slowly but steadily levelled up. In 4 months she had hit level 7.

Life was perfect. 

She just needed to continue to level up.

But the blissful time was short and the hunting party had encountered Orcs hunting team.

There were only 5 Orcs, but the humans were getting obliterated. The Orcs simply rushed at them and anyone they grabbed was easily killed.

In moments, 5 men were being torn apart and eaten alive.

Soeyoon was terrified as she saw the green hulking 3m tall monster easily rip a man apart from limb to limb and started chewing on the torn limbs still dripping with blood.

Another Orc's hand was so large it completely covered a man's head and twisted it clean off, then started to chew on the bloodied head making sickening crunching sounds.

Having experienced bloodshed before, Argus shouted for them to group up while he managed to stab through the neck of one of the Orcs distracted with its food, killing it.

Soeyoon could feel her heart beating so hard but she remembered her training. 

Calming her trembling hands, she pulled out her bow and nock an arrow.

She pulled, aimed and let go.

Her arrow flew true and stabbed into another Orc's eye.

"Orc Hunter Killed, 80 experience gained"

She was shocked, 4x Thabits and almost 3 times that of a Gharl. This was generous.

2 down 3 to go.

Seeing the table starting to turn, Argus shouted:

"They are mere mortals.

Will you be cowards who run and die like pigs?

Or are you going to kill these damned bastards and return as Orc Slayers?"

The other 8 men in the hunting party felt their blood boil and quickly drew their weapons and surrounded the Orcs.

But they were quickly slapped back to reality with the cold hard facts.

Their slash was barely able to penetrate the Orcs' thick and strong muscles, and each additional slash they suffered only made the Orcs fiercer.

Soeyoon could see fear starting to return to the men's eyes. They were reluctant to attack

and were slowly but surely retreating.

Seeing the situation wasn't getting any better, Argus ordered 4 men to hold back 2 orcs while the rest rushed on 1 with him and Soeyoon.

Soeyoon was very careful with her arrows.

She did not want to hit a friendly target and she knew if she missed the first hit she would most likely not get a second chance as the Orcs would be alerted of her presence.

Sha paid attention to all 3 Orcs with her bow drawn ready to shoot.

She found her chance when one of the 2 Orcs being held back by the 4 men managed to grab one of the men and was tearing the poor soul into two halves.

As the Orc roared, Soeyoon felt everything slowed down and she let the arrow in her bow loose towards its open jaw.

She could see the arrow flew, stabbed into its mouth and exited from the top of its skull.

"Orc Hunter Killed, 80 experience gained"

Good hunting, She thought to herself. 

3 more Orcs.
