Prologue

In the year 2026 a change overcame the world.

One day all the world suddenly fell into a comatose state for exactly one day, once they awoke they were met with a change in the world as they knew it.

The world had been changed, in every city on earth massive gateways had appeared. Through these gates were wondrous worlds which came know to be called dungeons.

Along with the dungeons came magical powers for all of humankind that science just could not explain. Some people could shoot fire from there hands or take a bullet to the head unscathed, others could summon creatures from other worlds or lift a train without breaking a sweat.

This ushered in a new era of mankind, one of great prosperity under the constant threat of monsters and beasts. You see, a gate had to be cleared once every 10 days or it would cause a dungeon break, in which all of the monsters inside of the dungeon would come out and cause a havoc.

The first dungeon break occurred exactly ten days after the gates first appeared. It happened due to the negligence of a certain North Korean dictator, he decided that all dungeons in his country were off limits as they were too dangerous. This lead to multiple dungeons breaking at the same time and the whole of Korea had to pay for it, only about 30% of the entire population made it out before the monsters took over.

Monsters of grade B and above could not be taken down with modern weaponry alone so Korea became a wasteland filled with monsters and carnage.

This opened the world's eyes to the truly horrifying nature of the monsters and paved way for the newest highly sought after job in the world, the Hunter.

A Hunter is someone who enters the dungeons and clears them out, then they sell off the monster parts that are useful, making a killing while they're at it. It was one of the highest paying jobs of all time and, if you were a good hunter, you would hold a high position of power in your country as well.

This leads us to the year 2046, the hunter related businesses are booming and the world is now governed by the strong. The members of the Hunter Guilds were now the most affluent people on the planet and could clear dungeons daily.
