Chapter 49 Meeting Another Character (1 of 2)

In broad daylight, the figure of that of a thief jumps from roof to roof as if trying to find something.

Upon closer inspection, the thief was actually very agile and lean with long flowing hair that reaches to her back that was put into a ponytail. The said thief had the typical appearance of a human female.

Yes, the thief was no other than Hua Meili.

Hua Meili jumps from roof to roof not because she was afraid of zombies but because by doing so she will be able to see quickly find the wandering zombies as she looks for another supermarket to ransack.

Being up on the roof really gave her the best view of the city and makes things easier for her.

Quickly, she went farther and farther away from the district that she usually patrolled.

She knew that the area is already empty after she ransacked it a few times so she decided to visit the other area she was yet to ransack.

The city is after all big and there are still many places where she still did not clean and empty. She would not possibly leave it to others to enjoy.

If, they are still alive to enjoy it.

After traveling for half an hour straight, she finally arrived at her destination, Rehado.

When she reached this area, the first thing she saw was a mall.

The mall was clean and had no signs of forced entry seeing that the area was clean, and the glasses and lock intact.

It looks like, no one had been there before her. Maybe because of the horde of Mutants roaming around the entire street.

The Mutants were like a bunch of police who were patrolling the area to keep it a 'no intruders zone', no thief can steal from the eyes of this many police.

But Hua Meili was a different case. She was no ordinary human.

She was just simply too arrogant and conceited that she simply did not put those Mutants in her eyes at all as she bravely and boldly made her way towards the horde.

When the Mutants felt her presence, they immediately became ferocious and attack her like a group of hungry beasts that had seen meat for the very first time.

Spotting the intruder/meal they were all alerted/drooling and made the decision to capture/eat the intruder/prey.

Seeing this festive situation, having all the Phase 1 Mutants running to her in all directions, Hua Meili only smirked and casually grab her ice sword and slice the first incoming Mutant into half, she did the same to the others.

All that was on her mind in those seconds were "EXP! ZC! SP!", she kept chanting those three words repeatedly inside her head as she whacked another zombie in the head.

If it was another individual in her shoes being surrounded by double a dozen or so Zombies, they would probably all cry Mommy and blame the heavens for giving them too much bad luck.

But since it was Hua Meili, she did nothing of those and instead happily slaughtered all the Mutants.

The fight was simply a one-sided massacre than a battle!

With her overwhelming power and heaven-defying cheats, Hua Meili was simply invisible!

After the massacre, not one Mutant was left.

Not even their flesh or bones was left, Hua Meili as the villain has burned all the corpses to ashes labeling herself as being too helpful to society for ridding all of these Mutants.

Perceiving that there are no longer any Mutants popping out, she was disappointed as she silently put back her ice sword inside her inventory with a heavy heart.

She then leisurely walked to the mall entrance and broke the lock of the mall and walk inside.

Looking around, the mall was truly clean and proper. No signs of burglary or anything, and there are also no signs of Mutants.

Knowing that there is no danger, she went directly to the grocery store where the things she wanted are located.

She emptied all the shelves of all the food and put the refrigerated meats in her DS with just a wave of her hand.

Even the way she ransacked and plundered was so awesome and elegant that one could not help but want to worship her for being too powerful!

Next, after she emptied the grocery store, she went to the clothes store next and look for some clothes that were passable enough to be stolen by her and sweep all the clothes to her DS.

After she went to the Security Room and look at the footage, the camera was still working, and the generator was even after a few months since the Apocalypse started.

She then erased the footage the same as always when she ransacked Malls and Super Markets. She erased traces of her so no one could see what she has done and investigate her.

She might be paranoid or overly sensitive but this is also her way of protecting herself.

Even though it's the Apocalypse, there is no shortage of people who wanted to rob or capture people to experiment on so she could not be so complacent since if someone checks the CCTV when they are bored, they might notice her and especially investigate her.

The way she does things is simply so heaven-defying and enviable that it is worth capturing her and making her into a lab rat to experimented.

She doesn't want that.

Even walls have ears so no doubt there would be eyes too.

After that, she left the Mall and continued looking for some Mutants.

Throwing the Mutant's head away, it was already nighttime when she finished 'farming'.

Not having any more strength to look for an extravagant hotel to rest, she just casually selected a close place to rest for the night.

The next morning, when she woke up, she heard some noise downstairs.

She remembered that she had locked the door before she rested, so it was impossible for a Mutant to come in.

Frowning, she quickly stood up and silently went out of her room.

She crept out silently and look at where the noise was coming from, it was a man? A big buff man covered in bruises.

"Hisss...."

Hua Meili heard him hiss and decided to watch what this oaf is up to as she leisurely lean on the wall beside the terrace which had the perfect view of the big guy.

Since she was on the second floor, the big guy doesn't seem to notice her presence.

"Ouch.. bullies! Since I'm only an ordinary human and got no ability they can't just do this to me! Hmp! If I see them again I wil... I will huhuhu...."

The big buff man whined as he slammed his fist on the brick wall but then immediately retracted it feeling how painful it was.

"What is this man or boy doing?" Hua Meili's mouth twitched.

She had never seen such a big baby in her entire life before.

"Huhuhu... I'm hungry!"

The big buff man whined rubbing his grumbling stomach.

"But I can't go out, what if those Zombies catch me? I can deal with 1 or 2 but 5 more will kill me! What to do?! Before I die because of Zombies I will first die of hunger!" The big buff man complained to no one.

"...."

Hua Meili rolled her eyes thinking how dumb he was.

But then, the way the man acted made her remember his Cheng ge and decided to show some pity for the big baby.

Taking out a pack of jerky, she threw it toward him.

But maybe because she just casually threw it out, she hit the big baby in the head.

"Ow! Who hit me?! Oh, food! Is it raining food?"

Seeing that it was a pack of food, the oaf quickly picks the jerky up and excitedly waited for it to rain more when he accidentally spotted a figure leaning on the wall at the corner of his eye.

His eyes turned cold as if frost covered his eyes, he no longer looked foolish.

"You're welcome...."

Already entertained, Hua Meili jumped down from the second floor to the first floor.

She walks past him straight towards the door, she no longer has any reason to stay in the shop so why does she need to stay?

But before she opened the door completely, the big oaf baby stop her.

"W-Wait!" The big oaf baby quickly yelled after her.

Hua Meili stop and looked back.

She raised an eyebrow as if asking what he needed from her.

"What do you need?"
