"My day has been awesome! Lady Anne" Blade replied in an equally captivating manner.
Of course, he actually didn't mean much of it but as he replied his excitement influenced his speech and for a moment, his bright smile caused his personal charm to overflow in the sight of Anne.
'Such a wonderful man to be with, why doesn't he just settle down with me? I don't really care how many women he has so long it doesn't get to 50 women like Zed' Anne thought as she looked at the smile on the handsome face before her.
For a moment, Anne was lost in her thoughts of a wonderful union with Blade. A happy family, and a prosperous home, but she was snapped out of it when the same voice called out to her again gently….
"Lady Anne? My collection package?"
"Oh! Sorry about that" Anne quickly tapped some keys on the console in a fidgety manner.
She already knew his serial number off-hand and could even call it out in her dreams so it wasn't surprising to see her regaining her composition and typing rapidly.
When Blade's information was brought up, and the value of his collection, her mouth dropped open in shock and surprise.
She hastily double-checked the information to make sure it was correct, because most of the time he came back with things worth 50-150 black mags, so when he replied charmingly she had thought that he had gained at least 200 – 250 black mags worth of findings but what was this number that was being displayed on the screen?!
When she saw the information on his Collection package she understood.
As she raised her head up her eyes were now filled with warmth and adoration almost worship.
Who could have believed that the person who had never found something worth 500 ordinary black mags would come up with something worth 1000 black mags! My God, that was already 100 crimson mags! Something that she had been saving for a while now.
Of course we have no idea about the purchasing value of 100 crimson black mags.
Let me break it down.
Although, crimson mag has an advantage over the black mags, it still has its own value for example, some places don't accept anything lower than crimson mags.
50 black mags could be used to get the most ordinary equipment which was a common body suit the current one that Blade was using.
100 black mags would ensure you had a basic living space. For example a room with some basic living items.
Earning 200-400 black mags a month means you're well to do and can get extra resources from the resource department. This basically means you can feed yourself and also have spare to purchase some body development drugs that have been developed based on the interaction between the pressure of the earth's magnetic field on our body.
Earning 500 – 1000 black mags a month means you have the qualifications to be an elite and can create your own scavenging group. This usually puts one in favour of the attendants in the body development and breakthrough halls in the base. This is because the net worth of elites are usually calculated in crimson black mags.
'A great warrior is usually rich'
Is a saying that is always true even till now. A great scavenger is always rich.
Now, if 100 crimson black mags qualify you to be an elite then,
150 - 200 crimson black mags put you on the top row of the few elites in the base.
300 crimson black mags at hand means you're an overlord already not to talk of 1000 crimson mags….even 500 crimson black mags would bring different people crawling to your doorstep begging to be in your scavenging group.
As if that wasn't enough, the fuel pump's value was calculated separately to give about 100 black mags, there was also the snake's corpse that he was going to sell later on after he completes his plans.
When Blade's Collection package had been checked and verified, it was handed to him in the form of a crumpled and pressed metal and had the Golden seal on it. That seal represented a Golden collections package. Also, an additional package was given to him which included the fuel pump. The fuel pump was bronze rank and looked a bit odd side by side with the Golden Collections package.
"Thanks for your time!!!" Blade flashed Anne a handsome smile.
Anne almost swooned 'Did he just smile at me? Oh my gosh!!! He purposefully smiled at me!' Anne was over the moon just for a smile. Although, she was over the moon, she didn't show it in reality she only flashed what she thought was a professional smile but actually looked like she was advertising her inner thoughts. Her response to the smile actually screamed 'I'm hitting on you Blade! Come to me! I need you badly!'
Meanwhile, as Blade turned around to take his collection package to the collections department, a gasp could be heard from someone and soon other gasps could be heard and it continued spreading around until there was total silence….
Eyes opened wide, with shock colouring their faces.
Everyone stood quietly. Some were just about going out to scavenge but, when they saw what was going on, they stopped to observe.
"Tsk! Tsk!!" Anne made a sound
"I knew it would end up this way, even I couldn't keep my cool. Such a lucky guy" Anne shook her head as she decided to keep watching the drama unfolding. It seems that today many lazy scavengers would pick up their lazy a**es and get to work.
But Blade would have to be extra careful now.
Oh! She face palmed. She forgot to remind that block head not to go causing trouble and not to go out for the next few days.
'Yes that's exactly the scene I imagined, shock them all' Blade laughed internally.
If only they knew this was just the tip of the ice Berg…
