Neophobia

"You know that things could kill you," Rose said looking at the taller girl. The other girl had paused smoking her cigarette. Most of her hair was black with her ends dyed red. She was wearing a black leather jacket with pins on the collar, paired with combat boots that were black with red laces and some rock bad shirt that she probably listened to. "Oh, hon if I could die I honestly would jump at the opportunity," Blaze said looking at the smaller girl. Face unreadable yet still cocky. Rose was wearing a pink and white striped shirt with a long sweater jacket and a pink pleated skirt. Her hair, a bright strawberry blonde curled neatly and around shoulder length. Her arm gently rested against her chest </span>

"But now I know that beauty exists I might not want to," Blaze continued brushing the hair gently out of Rose's face. About to take her hand away Rose grabbed it tightly but gently at the same time. Her blue eyes sparkling like a holy grail in the moonlight.

"You are gentle for some who look like they could snap my neck like a twig," Rose's soft voice said. Calming down the quick heart rate of the girl beside her, she slowly let go of Balzes hand.

"Oh, Doll," Blaze paused leaning closer to the other girl and whispering in her ear. "I could do a lot more than that," She finished. Oddly enough Rose smelled of apples and candy. Blazes looked at her lips which looked as soft as petals.

"Then why aren't you," Rose said looking at the taller girl, her turn of being cocky. She inhaled deeply, smelling the scent of cigarettes and gas invading her nose, though she didn't mind it at all. She looked at Blaze's face, her hair playing in the moonlight.

"I Only do things to people who deserve it, Bad people," Blaze said looking down on the girl.

"Hey, I am bad. I snuck out to watch a movie didn't I," Rose said looking at the girl.

"Yeah, but that is the worst you've done right. Let me guess you let spider free instead of killing them you leave food out for stray animals, you buy food for the homeless you volunteer at hospitals and animal shelters, you read old people books, you buy everyone you know a present for every holiday imaginable, you work so you can help your family even though they could be just fine without it, you help your mom with dinner every night and you help filling out taxes with your dad Don't you," Blaze said looking down upon the much shorter girl. Her eyes seemed to be staring into the girl's soul to see how pure it truly was. Rose tried her hardest to act normal, but all of those words which just flowed out of Blaze's still parted lips shocked her.

How did you know that," said Rose with a curious look on her face.

"You look like the type," Blaze said and paused, leaning close to Rose

"Don't let anyone ever take advantage of that, I don't want to see what happens if you do," said Blaze in a stern voice, one she rarely used. She saw how Rose would do anything for others even if it was at great cost to herself.

"O-Okay," Rose said, looking at the girl with soft eyes. How her body radiates so much heat. How she smelled of cigarettes and gas. She was bittersweet, every aspect of her made Rose weak to the knees

"Blaze," said Rose in a more high-pitched voice yet not enough to be annoying.

"What, Doll," Blaze answered looking at the small girl.

"Are you okay," The question surprised both of the girls. Blaze snapped back into reality, losing the candy sent. That wasn't a question anyone has asked her before, and it was this girl.

"What do you mean by that?"

"You seem sad as if… As if you were scared of something," Rose said gently, touching Blazez's cheek. Just smelling the girl made Blaze's thoughts slow down to a normal rate. How she resisted so hard to not lean into the touch.

"You are right I am scared of something," Blaze said as she grabbed the girl's wrist.

"What," Rose said as if she was more curious than ever. Blaze to everyone else seemed fearless. Everyone thought of her as some amazing fearless person. She always intimidated everyone, never showing how she felt.

"You,"
