92. Evolve

The smoke started to dissipate, and Izumi's silhouette came into view in the dispersing smoke.

Theomars received 400 points of damage, but in exchange, it evolved into 1st Shift form. Theomars' remaining Energy Shield was only 170.

From ordinary metallic color, Theomars transformed into navy blue-colored armor covering Izumi's limbs and his back. On the back, there are beautifully transparent blue-glow unfolded wings which are the applications of the Fold-out Armor. The ordinary metallic sword held in its hand changed into an energy sword with pale blue light color.

Izumi in Theomars' cockpit floated into mid-air. He did simple movements to find out the difference after Theomars had evolved.

Then, Izumi looked at his surroundings and grinned evilly. He said.

"Thanks to you guys, my Theomars managed to evolve into 1st Shift form. I appreciate your hard work." He clapped toward them as if he was just using them to evolve his IS.

Even though Izumi was happy with Theomars who managed to evolve, he still couldn't use the Devil Fruit power along with Theomars. Perhaps, Izumi still needed to evolve it once more just like he had guessed before.

Seeing Izumi being calm while riding his IS, moreover, it seemed Izumi mocked them for helping him to evolve his IS. Cecilia felt a surge of heat in her head. She immediately attacked him with the four drones she had, along with two missiles that were already locked in Izumi.

Izumi no longer needed to worry about Cecilia's attacks. With Theomars' evolution, its speed was unbeatable. Izumi was able to dodge all of Cecilia's attacks. Maya, who helped from behind, couldn't aim properly.

Izumi swiftly moved behind Maya and attacked her with a couple of slashes which made her Shield Energy turn to zero. IS with zero Shield Energy could be considered scrap metal, and Izumi had no interest in destroying that thing.

As if disappearing from his place, Izumi suddenly appeared in front of Cecilia with a flash. He said.

"Just give up, little girl! Your Blue Tears won't be able to match my 4th generation IS. Hehehe."

Cecilia's expression darkened. This was Cecilia's first time getting an insult. Moreover, Izumi said that his IS was the fourth generation, Cecilia didn't want to believe it, but Theomars' abilities already exceeded her expectations. Like it or not, she had to believe what Izumi said.

"Professor Shinonono, the creator of IS, has not even published the fourth generation of IS. Was he serious about what he said?" Cecilia asked inwardly in doubt.

Izumi who was in front of Cecilia sensed that something was aiming at him, Izumi jumped back to avoid it.

It was barrages of Gatling guns energy bullets.

"What a surprise that you could avoid without seeing it." Someone suddenly said with an enchanting voice.

Instantly, the area was surrounded by mist, in the center of which was a person riding an IS.

She was a beautiful teenage girl of average height with short blue hair with short bangs in the form of a V, pale skin, dark red eyes, and a very voluptuous and mature body.

Her IS looked small as if it had no armor. However, the parts that didn't have the armor, form a transparent liquid-like thing. It felt just like a water veil.

That IS with a unique appearance surrounded in the mist had crystal-shaped items floating on both left and right sides, and they were truly eye-catching. She held a huge lance in her right hand, and it seems that the lance could be switching between a close-combat to a long-range attack by changing it into a Gatling gun just like the previous attack.

Izumi knew who she was. She is Sarashiki Tatenashi, a representative from Russia who has a very powerful third-generation IS named Mysterious Lady.

"Your IS is kinda interesting, little miss. Mysterious Lady, isn't it?"

"Oh, you know that? That means you know me too, right?"

"What do you think?"

"But I don't know you, how about you tell me your name?"

"Defeat me, you'll find out!"

"Ufufu. That's really some classic line from a villain, which means I'll definitely win."

Then, Tatenashi attacked with her lance. Izumi parried and move to her right side to slash her. The objects called Aqua Crystals activated the screens of water that covered Tatenashi like a huge windbreaker. Izumi's sword couldn't even penetrate the water shield and his sword seemed captured by the water instead.

"Automatic shielder, huh?" Izumi muttered.

Seeing this, Izumi immediately jumped backward and thought about how to take care of the Aqua Crystals.

"Oh my, aren't you the alert one?" Tatenashi grinned when she looked at Izumi who suddenly jumped backward.

"Well, I'm just testing it. Let's see if my martial art is working or not." Izumi shrugged his shoulders while observing the Aqua Crystals.

"Martial art?" Tatenashi tilted her head confusedly, but when she saw a cold aura burst out from Izumi, she immediately alerted. "Is that a martial art? Not an IS ability?" She asked in wonder. This was the first time Tatenashi had heard that a martial art could release such power. And Tatenashi thought that Izumi wanted to fool her.

She immediately created 5 clones of herself and prepared to attack Izumi. But the clones were useless against Izumi. Izumi instantly found out where Tatenashi's real body was. Izumi moved quickly and attacked the real Tatenashi with three slashes that stiffened her movement.

As Izumi guessed, the Aqua Crystals weren't able to completely neutralize the ice attacks. Then Izumi launched slash after slash from various spots which overwhelmed Tatenashi. Even her clones couldn't be of much help. But Izumi felt something off. If he used his Snow Sword martial art, of course, the surrounding area was in the mist. But…

*Boom*

Theomars' body got covered in explosions.

"Mysterious Lady, this machine can control water freely. They're nanomachines that can use the energy of the IS to control water." Tatenashi chuckled as her explosions hit the target.

The nanomachines that used the energy of the IS turned the mist into a heat source and blew up the target. This ability is called [Clear Passion].

Izumi was completely unaware that the water could be changed into explosive particles. He completely let his guard down.

When the smoke dispersed, everyone could see Izumi smiling with an unmoving IS. The shield energy on Theomars has been reduced to zero. He was too careless in that fight. He didn't even realize Tatenashi's intentions.

Theomars transformed into a ring, and he stood up while crossing his arms. He was surrounded by a lot of people who rode on their ISs. With Shirashiki Tatenashi around, everyone didn't feel that Izumi couldn't do anything anymore. Izumi glanced in a certain direction. He saw someone come over.

She is Orimura Chifuyu, a beautiful adult woman with long black hair, and brown eyes and she is shown to be quite tall. Everyone made a way for her.

She glanced at Izumi and asked.

"Who are you? Where did you get that IS?"

"Is that bother you that much?"

"Of course, except Orimura Ichika, there should be no other male pilot." Chifuyu said with a serious expression.

"Pfft, you're wrong! That should be my line!" Izumi laughed at Chifuyu instead.

"How?"

"Not telling."

Everyone raised their weapon but was stopped by Chifuyu. She asked.

"What is your relationship with Shinonono Tabane? There's no way you could have IS out of nowhere."

As Izumi expected, Chifuyu was suspicious of Tabane. Only Tabane could indeed make a male able to pilot IS. But that was the past.

"That self-proclaimed genius? Hahaha. You won't believe me if I told you the truth."

"How so?"

"I told you. Even if I say it, can you possibly believe it? No, right? Hence, it's useless if I tell the truth." Izumi still looked calm despite being surrounded. This made Chifuyu feel that there was a backup plan that he was still hiding.

At that moment, Tatenashi uttered astonishing words.

"Hey. Why don't you enroll in this academy? Also, according to what you promised, you have to tell your name!"

Everyone whispered to each other. They felt that getting Izumi into the academy was a dangerous thing given the way he fought. Even with just its default form, Izumi could beat Cecilia who was riding the 3rd generation IS. It was a heavy slap from the eyes of the British government.

"Silence! Let him talk!" Chifuyu snapped at them.

Then, Izumi gave a smile and started answering.

"Oh. Well, I can't deny what I said to a beautiful girl like you, Shirashiki Tatenashi. My name is Miyamura Izumi. As for the matter of enrolling to enter the academy, I think it's useless because there's nothing for me to learn here."

"You sure are looking down on this academy." Chifuyu frowned.

But, Izumi shook his head.

"No, no, no. Let me clarify some things. If you asked me to learn how to pilot the IS, wouldn't that be obvious? I can even defeat that blonde-haired girl using only the default form." Izumi pointed at Cecilia. He continued.

"If you ask me to learn about IS components down to the details of how to assemble them, that's completely unnecessary. Because the IS that I use is my own creation."

As soon as Izumi finished saying that, everyone couldn't believe Izumi so they whispered to each other. They assumed that Izumi's words were full of boasting.

Following up.

"If you want me to learn how to kill someone…"

Izumi suddenly disappeared and appeared behind Chifuyu with the dagger already at Chifuyu's throat.

"Don't ever think that I'm a little kid who has never jumped into the battlefield. I've killed a lot of bastards with this dagger. So, don't think that I haven't experienced a bloody battle before."

Everyone was stiffened. Even Tatenashi, who was still piloting the IS, couldn't see his speed. It made her think about what Izumi had said about his martial art.

Izumi jumped high backward to get out of their encirclement while somersaulting, accompanied by a superb landing. Then, he walked away ignoring all of them.

"Where are you going?" Chifuyu looked angry after feeling threatened by Izumi like that. However, she felt that Izumi was very dangerous if he was on the enemy's side.

Izumi only waved one hand in response.

"Of course, back home. Anyway, thanks for helping evolve my IS. Evolving my IS is what I came here for. Since my IS has evolved, there is no longer any need for me but to go home." Izumi walked leisurely while taking out something.

Tatenashi, who was the strongest among them, immediately started moving and charged to catch Izumi. However, the hand on her IS passed through Izumi's body which made her eyes bulge as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"If I want to go, you all won't be able to stop me. By the way, we will meet again, little girl. Don't miss me or you'll be disappointed." Izumi held her chin, then disappeared. He appeared on the roof of the arena. He waved at them, gesturing to say goodbye. After that, he disappeared into thin air.
