106. Looking For Hiiro

After Izumi left his mansion, he immediately looked for Hiiro's whereabouts. Izumi didn't know whether Hiiro met Eveam or not. At least Izumi would go to where Eveam usually relieved her stress. Because that was where Hiiro was supposed to meet Eveam. Even if they didn't meet, Izumi would try to introduce the two of them anyway.

On the way, Izumi saw Shublars who seemed to be looking for Eveam. Izumi called out to her.

"Hey, sis Shublars!"

Shublars turned her head and saw Izumi waving his hand.

"Oh Izumi, what are you doing here?"

Izumi approached her and said,

"I'm looking for someone, he should have reached the capital, but I don't know where he is."

"Oh, your acquaintance from afar? Who is he? Someone from your tribe? If you want, I can accompany you." Shublars said with an alluring smile. From her attitude and how she talked, she seemed to be attracted to Izumi.

Izumi nodded.

"You could say that! Where are you going? Are you looking for Her Majesty?" Even though Izumi knew where the Shublars were going, he still asked her.

"Yep, due to too much work, Her Majesty often ran away from the palace."

Izumi facepalmed. But then, he sighed. It was understandable if Eveam wanted to run away. In the modern world, girls at her age still hang out with their friends whether shopping or going out together. Or maybe, they studied at the university.

"Why not just let her be? Too much work is not good for Her Majesty's health. At least, Her Majesty can relax for a while."

"You have a point."

Their conversation paused, then Izumi whispered.

"It's possible that Her Majesty has a secret meeting with someone."

"Eh, with who?" Shublars was surprised, but this intrigued her.

"Of course with her boyfriend, who else? After all, Her Majesty is in puberty, so it's not strange she has a lover."

What Izumi said piqued her interest, so Shublars wanted to find Eveam who might be meeting with her lover.

"Then I'll try to find out!"

"Hey wait!"

Shublars swiftly walked away, and Izumi followed her from behind.

When Izumi and Shublars arrived in front of the tavern, the place where Eveam often visited. Izumi saw three people lying on the ground, surrounded by the locals. Izumi walked over to the crowd and asked.

"What's going on, why are there so many people?"

"Ah, Mr. Oni, and Miss Shublars. Are you two on a date? Sorry to interrupt your time!" Izumi's question was answered by a man in his 40s. But, what the man said made Izumi's veins pop up. Izumi ignored him and looked at the tavern. He could sense two familiar auras inside.

At that moment, Shublars let out a chuckle.

"Do we both look like we're on a date?"

"Yes, Miss Shublars, you two are perfect for each other." The man nodded his head with a smile. It was as if he wanted to make a good impression on the higher-ups.

Shublars turned her head to Izumi and said.

"Did you hear it? We're perfect for each other."

"Sorry. Although you're indeed enchanting. But, you're not my type. Anyway, what happened to these three?" Izumi ignored Shublars after he gave her deadly sentences of rejection. Then Izumi asked the man from earlier. The man thought for a moment, then spoke.

"Ah, it was like this. A while ago, I saw a youngster similar to your appearance, Mr. Oni. He made these three people fall from the sky."

"Is that youngster wearing a red robe?" Izumi asked, he could already confirm that the aura he felt inside the cafe belonged to Eveam and Hiiro.

"Yes yes, as you said. He has white short hair and two long red horns, and he seems taller than you, Mr. Oni."

From the man's explanation, it seemed that Hiiro had indeed changed his appearance to resemble Izumi. But his hair is still short, and his two horns are also intact. In contrast to Izumi, whose one horn is only half-long because it's already broken.

"I see, I know him. He is my friend." Izumi nodded. Then he looked at the three people lying on the ground. He added. "Everyone, please step aside for a moment, I have something to ask the three of them!"

The people made way for him. The three people lying on the ground seemed to be just street thugs. Izumi forcefully woke one of them, he slapped him in the face repeatedly to wake him up. When the thug woke up, Izumi stuck his dagger to the thug's neck while saying.

"Hey, I have something to ask you! And you better tell the truth or this dagger will cut your neck!"

The thug slowly nodded while gulping. Then Izumi asked.

"How did you end up like this?"

"We got beaten by someone similar to you, sir."

"He is my friend. And he has no reason to beat you guys if you don't start it first. Tell me the truth! Don't plan to trick me! I can tell if you're lying or not."

The thug felt pressure from Izumi. Now the thug knows who Izumi really is. Judging from his white and long hair, there was no mistake that the person in front of the thug was the Devilish Oni. The new member of the Cruel Brigade.

"If-if I tell you the truth, can you let me live?"

Izumi immediately stabbed his arm. The thug instantly cried out in pain. Izumi held the thug's hair.

"Tell me the truth! Don't just blabber something unnecessary!"

"I-I harassed a girl inside the tavern. But suddenly someone got in the way. After that, we suddenly ended like this."

"Harassed a girl with long blonde hair?"

"Y-yes."

Izumi one-hit the thug to send him to his dream.

Izumi turned to the citizens and said,

"Any of you, call the guards! These stupid thugs don't know what they've done!" They didn't really understand what Izumi meant. However, they still obeyed Izumi's words.

"If Evila had implemented royal law as it should, their heads would have been cut off the day after tomorrow. Too bad Eveam is too soft. Sigh." Izumi muttered quietly.

Meanwhile, Shublars gritted her teeth. "How dare they! To think even thugs would dare to lay their hands on a demon lord." She thought.

After the guards arrived, Shublars ordered them to imprison those thugs and punish them. They had done something that should not be done, and Shublars also intended to punish them with her own hands.

Izumi ordered the locals to disband, because there was nothing else to show.

When Izumi and Shublars were about to enter the tavern, a little girl suddenly barged in while ignoring Izumi and Shublars.

Hiiro was talking to Eveam and discussing the contract. Unquestionably, it was a contract to obtain a level-five permit.

A while ago, Hiiro got lost in the capital because he had not expected that Xaos was a bigger city than he had imagined. He had difficulty finding lodging because there were only local residents' houses. He came to Xaos together with Liliyn, Silvan, Shamoe, Mikazuki, and Nikki.

Mikazuki is a Raidpic. A Raidpic is an animal that can run fast that is usually ridden. A Raidpic may look similar to an ostrich, but the Raidpic is much larger in size which one can ride on. But, Mikazuki, a Raidpic that Hiiro had brought to Xaos didn't look like an animal, it took a human form instead. Naturally, it was thanks to Hiiro's magic that changed it. For now, it had the appearance of an 8 or 9-year-old little girl.

Meanwhile, Nikki was a little girl that Hiiro had met during his half-year adventure on the Evila continent. And surprisingly, this girl was a human who was banished to the Evila continent and raised by a beast.

The first time Hiiro met Nikki, the girl didn't understand human language at all. Thus making Hiiro use his magic so that Nikki could understand human language. Since Nikki was a Humas race that was thrown into the Evila continent, Hiiro changed Nikki's appearance to be similar to Liliyn's and made them look like sisters.

"My request, will you accept it?" Eveam asked slightly uneasy. She thought that Hiiro might refuse.

Eveam understood that Hiiro possessed an abundant amount of magic power. His level was probably also high, in accordance with his magic. For some reason, she was able to understand that his level might also be higher than hers, the demon lord.
