The nightly Messenger

Michael, Uriel and Gabriel were once again sitting together eating cake and drinking tea while chatting. Michael looked as if he didn't sleep good last night, but that would happen from time to time. Managing God's system was a big burden on him after all. As they enjoyed their time together a small magic circle manifested itself close to his right ear. Seeing him concentrate, Uriel and Gabriel kept quiet and waited for him to finish.

"Oh, good to hear from you Ezekiel, how was your first day at school?" Michael said.

What followed was a long monologue from Uriel's and Gabriel's perspective. The longer the conversation went, the smaller Michael seemed to shrink.

"What, you don't want to…?"

"No, that was my fault:.."

"Yes, I will make sure to deal with it."

"He was there in Kuoh?"

"No please, don't do that."

"You want to intervene? Please just wait. We had a deal and you promised you would wait."

"But only when absolutely necessary."

"Ezekiel! Watch your words!"

"Please, I take it back. Everything but that!"

"Then, I leave it to you."

"Alright, I won't say anything."

"Yes. I'm sorry."

"Please, don't"

"Okay…"

Uriel and Gabriel had smirks on their faces. They themselves wouldn't want to argue with Ezekiel, but that didn't mean they wouldn't poke fun at Michael. Well, Gabriel could probably get away with it.

Jeanne and Asia looked at Ezekiel, silently sweating. Did he really say all of that to the leader of the angel faction? How harsh!

"Alright girls, Asia will stay in your apartment if that is fine with you Jeanne?" Ezekiel asked her, waking them from their thoughts.

"Of course! And look how cute she is." Jeanne beamed at Asia, making her feel at home for the first time in a while.

"Good. Tomorrow I want you two to go shopping. Asia will need a few essentials and new clothes. And Asia?" Ezekiel explained what they had to do tomorrow.

Asia tilted her head before answering: "Yes, Sir Ezekiel?"

Jeanne giggled while Ezekiel sighed: "I already told you to just call me Ezekiel, no Sir or anything. Never mind. What I need you to do is to stay at home when you aren't with one of us. I will see to it, that the fallen angels and rogue exorcists will be dealt with soon. But until then you shouldn't wander around town alone." His voice became stern toward the end, making her understand how important the matter was.

"As for me, I will have some things to deal with today evening. Don't wait for me for dinner." He said before leaving the apartment.

Later that evening, Azazel was currently enjoying his time in front on the couch. It seemed like he played poker on his laptop while indecent sounds rang out from the TV.

Suddenly he heard someone knocking on his door and slowly made his way over, annoyed since he had a perfect hand just now. After the door opened, nobody was anywhere close to his house, but a piece of paper was sticking at the entrance.

'Dear governor,

It seems some of your younger birds are playing around in the town. It would be much appreciated if I wouldn't have to deal with them myself. You being here in Kuoh should be a secret? Of course, I promise I won't tell anymore people.'

Azazel had a tick mark on his forehead. What do you mean you won't tell "anymore" people? Wonderful! Now he had to go back to work again. He was getting too old for this. He'd rather relax and study some more sacred gears in his free time. Even more infuriating, he didn't even sense the person that put the note there.

Ezekiel was watching him from far away and chuckled. He never interacted with this uncle of his. From what he heard, he wasn't really liked in heaven, but they were still somehow family. He would love to have a match with him and some other fallen angels at some point. They weren't any stronger, but he doubted they would fight as clean as angels do and maybe he could learn something new.

He turned his gaze to the Academy and vanished from his spot.

As Sona was sitting in the room of the student council and thinking of new plans for the school she planned to open in the future, there was a knock on the window. She turned around, but the only thing she saw was a piece of paper sticking on it.

After reading the paper she wasn't sure what to think of it.

'Dear workaholic,

How about you look around the town you claim as your territory. Creatures of the night (not you) seem to roam the streets at night. Too much focus limits the field of vision.'

She was sure the person was talking about the fallen angels. Rias told her about them and that she would handle it. It seems her friend was taking her time with it.

More important was though, who was it that sent the message?

As Rias was getting ready for the night, she hard a knock on the door. As many times before tonight, there was a small notice on a piece of paper sticking at the door.

'How to manage your territory 101:

The first rule is to keep your territory free from threats.

The second rule is to keep your territory free from threats.

The third…'

Ezekiel might have gotten a little annoyed after he began to write these notices. Rias probably couldn't even make any sense of it. It wouldn't matter though, since her best friend would contact her soon enough.

"Time to head back. Wait, what's that? Okay, one more won't hurt, would it?" Ezekiel laughed to himself and dived down toward another house.

Issei was looking forward to tonight. He got a few more magazines and videos from his friends Matsuda and Motohama. He was really stressed lately and even after getting tempted the whole day, he was to be disappointed in the end. Now that he was alone tonight, he would make sure to relax a bit.

As he got into his room, he noticed that his window was open. He clearly remembered how he had closed it earlier. As he looked around his room for anything out of the ordinary, he noticed a small slip of paper on his desk.

'God is watching you'

He promptly looked out of the window to see if anybody was near. After he didn't see a single soul, he slowly began to realize something and threw away all the magazines in his hand and cursed out loud. He probably couldn't enjoy himself for a while now.

Hello there!

I didnt have much time today, but managed to write a few short scenes. The chapter isn't anything special but it's something.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Feel free to leave review and have a good day. :)
